digits for us. lets begin with cecily outside our studios with the latest. >> i'm make this fast, i can't feel my face, it's brutally cold and it will get dangerous tonight. the national weather service issued advisories for our entire area 15 degrees below 0 for our morning commute. strong winds out of the northwest pulling down the coldest air mass of the season the wind gusts currently 31 miles per hour and wind gusts 30 in trenton and 29 in wildwood and wind gusts of 31 miles per hour in the poconos. so the current windchill is 5 degrees in philadelphia. that is brutal enough but what these winds are doing they are pulling down more brutally cold air mass, the windchill in green bay 23 degrees below 0, and chicago feels like 21 degrees below 0 and that is the air mass that is settling in overnight.

people are taking to the streets tonight all over france grieving the horrific attack that happened in paris today. this peaceful demonstration is happening with hundreds gathered there some holding signs saying we are charlie. new tonight we know officials have identified the men they are looking for two of them are french men and the nationality of the third person is unknown right now, but france is on high alert after a dozen people were left dead. the killers of course still on the loose. around noon time in paris three masked gunman stormed the offices of the french satirical magazine, charlie hebdo it's known to poke fun at politicians and religion they would hear the attackers shoutding god is great in arabic it includes staffers and a police officer and a door man at that building. french officials have launched a massive manhunt for the men that

escaped in two get away cars, president obama made remarks condemning these attacks and secretary of state john kerry reiterated that americans are standing with fran. >> they may wield weapons but we in france and in the united states share a commitment to those that wield something that is far more powerful. not just a pen but a pen that represents an instrument of freedom not fear. >> police now have what they believe is one of the get away cars forensic investigators will run dna tests on that car to see if it gives them any clues. and while vigils are being held in france where the attack happened, people around the world responding to the tranlic killings hundreds packed the streets of london many of them holding pens in support of the journalists and cartoonists that were murdered today. the message is free speech lives

on. world news tonight with david muir has more on the gunmen and how the u.s. hopes to help the french. a scary moment this morning when people witnessed a tractor trailer slamming into an overpass. chad pradelli is live with more. >> reporter: hey monica when a tractor trailer hits an overpass it can be down right scary that was the case for the driver it happened on the 42 expressway. it created gridlock the accident did traffic didn't look like this until 3:00. two massive gas tanks when tumbling on the northbound lanes of 42 freeway at 10:30 this morning after a tractor trailer slammed into the browning road overpass, josh archer was in the southbound lanes when one tank barrelled towards him, i'm telling my wife hurry up step on the gas. i thought it would come at us.

they leave us they are able to go places to get them indoors and out of the elements. >> they are extending their hours to make sure people have a place to go and stay warm. >> philadelphia is under a code blue right now due to the cold, if you see a homeless person outside you are urged to call the number on your screen. remember you should also bring your pets inside during this cold spell. in delaware that state has declared a code purple and volunteer shelters are up and running running throughout the week and a place to sleep for anyone that needs to get out of the cold weather. >> we have people out looking for folks and letting them know that the shelters are open and available and welcoming to people. >> and residents who see people in distress are urged to call people at the code purple hot
