be around 40. well below average. when i come back we'll talk about milder changes finally in the seven-day forecast. a little bit of a wintry mix to contend with first thing monday morning. developing at night a driver seriously damaged the chester county fire department. it cannot get any trucks out for any call also. a police officer noticed the damage while or patrol this morning. "action news" has just confirmed that the driver is being questioned. we have just talked to officials in chester township. we'll have more on the story ahead. new at 9:00. a squatter started a house fire in north philadelphia. the house on the 2800 block of north lee street was empty because the elderly man who lived there died a few weeks ago. the squatter ran off before firefighters and police got

there. firefighters had to deal with the icy conditions and brutal cold the house is a complete loss. a chinese takeout turned into a murder scene overnight. the shooter hit a man in the chest leaving him to die in the street around 1:30. police are looking for the killer and trying to pinpoint the motive. they are trying to figure out who the victim is, he did not have any i.d. on him. france is ramping up its terror crackdown thousands of police officers and hundreds of troops are being deployed after the attacks in paris. in the wake of the attacks in australia and canada, the state department posted a worldwide travel warning for americans. more americans are targets of efforts to stop isis. in france a manhunt continues for hayat boumeddiene the

8:00 p.m. a third person showed up at a nearby hospital with gunshot wound to the chest. they are all workers at the new water park that's being built. him no word on what led to the shooting. hundreds of people paid their respects to a limo drive who was shot down an new year's day. on new year's day he picked up a group of men police say one of them pulled a gun and demanded money before shooting him in the held. one person has been charged in his death. he leaves behind a fiance and five-month-old baby girl. family and friends have said their final goodbye to shane montgomery. funeral services were held for the 21-year-old in manayunk. the gunman disappeared after leaving a bar. his body was found in the schuylkill river last weekend. police say his death was an

accident. a south police officer who hit anticipate killed a 10-year-old boy will not face charges. matt that you mccloskey hit and killed the boy. the prosecutor said his actions were not criminal. he was responding to a nonemergency call and did not have his flashing lights on. he was going 74 miles per hour. police say the boy ran into the road when the accident happened. mayor nutter announced yesterday that the city has reached an agreement with local 22 the terms provide retroactive wage increases and 3.2% hike this july. nutter said the deal will allow firefighters to do their jobs. >> it meets the members' interest in terms of pay and benefits and enables them to

8 below in the poconos. 3 below in allentown and five in lancaster. as longs the winds are out of the northwest which they will continue to be, we'll drive the icy cold air down into the delaware valley. it's minus 12 in buffalo. excuse me, minus 12 in pittsburgh and big -- binghamton. this is the way the feels-like temperatures will play out throughout date. all day we're looking at upper teens throughout the viewing area. far western suburbs is upper single digits and low teens. it will be blustery and cold. satellite and radar, we have a tiny area of low pressure zipping along the mason dixon line. we'll see sunshine out there this morning and this afternoon. once we get into sunday, the high works out to sea the winds shift out of the southwest that allows the cloud cover to roll on in here.

sunday we start out with sun increasing clouds, sunday night the clouds lower and thicken midnight monday morning light snows break out creels -- across the northwestern suburbs. we'll see a mix of snowflakes and freezing rain. south jersey, looking like mainly a rain event. we'll advance this and i think the idea is more of a mixing north and west, rain south and east snow across the lehigh valley and the poconos. this is accuweather's call on monday morning. today we're dealing with the cold tomorrow it's quiet and better monday morning, snow north and west for the lehigh valley and poconos. icing changing over to rain. what i mean by icing it's raining and freezing on contact. it's the i-95 corridor and mainly rain across south jersey and delaware. the model showing anywhere from .02-inch.

>> each year the philadelphia auto show welcomes 250,000 guests to the pennsylvania convention center. those visitors will see the hottest ride in the auto industry but they are also driving away the cold for kids in the philadelphia area. melissa magee has the story. >> we're giving kids with the greats need in the city of philadelphia and the surrounding counties warm coats. >> reporter: since 2008 the auto dealers association of greater philadelphia has donated 180,000 coats to kids in the philadelphia area through their driving away the cold program. >> there's always a need that we want to make sure. regardless of how many coats that we give away, there's a kid that needs one. that pushes to continue to grow the program. >> reporter: 175 local dealers contribute to the cause to provide enough coats to warm the hearts of every almost student in the chester up land district. >> one man said is this for me,

and cold, feeling like chicago. it's a cold start to the weekend. tomorrow we warm up, we're above freezing, and then we have the wintry mix moving in monday morning before a permanent warmup in the second half of the seven-day forecast. i'll have that for you in ten minutes. >> the chester township fire company is calling for help not answering calls. the firehouse has been severely damaged. the damage has put the department out of service. early this morning an suv plowed into the front door preventing the trucks getting out for calls. police noticed the damage and tracked down the driver nearby. the fire chief spoke to "action news." >> we're trying to find anybody who come down and secure the building looking to secure the wall so we can get our trucks staged at a temporary location.

as for repairs we're still working on trying to come down and repair the building. >> the good news in all of this is that no firefighters were inside at the time of the hit-and-run. chester township is relying on other fire companies to handle any calls until the damage can be cleaned up. an engineer is heading to the scene to assess it all. a brazen robber flashed a gun and walked off with a brand new tv overnight. it happened at the wal-mart center store on christopher columbus boulevard. a man dressed in blacked walked out of the store and when he was approached by a security guard he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the guard. the guard backed off and went inside to call 911. police are now looking through surveillance video. a philadelphia firefighter had to spread salt on an icy sidewalk overnight after hosing

down a blaze in frankford section this morning. the fire was on oxford avenue before 5:00 a.m. residents were briefly forced out into the cold. there were no injuries reported. everybody is now back inside. france is trying to calm its people still shaken from deadly terror attacks. this morning a french leader called for extreme vigilance while admitting france is at risk. one alleged accomplice is on the run and anti-terror rally is planned tomorrow in paris. marci gonzalez has more. >> reporter: a day of terror in france ending with that flash. hostages running for their lives at the scene of one two standoffs that left three

terrorists dead. the first site near de gaulle airport where 89 suspects in the deadly attack on charlie hebdo was cornered by police. the brothers, cherif and said kouachi came charging outside before being shot dead. police say the man who killed an officer thursday was holding hostages at this kosher supermarket. he said he synchronized the attack with the brothers. the s.w.a.t team stormed in and killed him and found four hostages dead. french president saying through a translator, the country remains on high alert. >> france also knows it is not over yet. >> reporter: al qaeda in yemen

claimed responsibility for the terror attack at charlie hebdo newspaper earlier this week. abc news new york. >> a body camera captured led up to a deadly shooting by a utah police officer. >> send me another unit. you need to calm down right now. >> i know my business. >> i'm trying to to find out what you're doing. >> you're in my face. you did get in i moo face. >> after he hit the officer with the shovel, the camera went dead and the officer shot the man. he matched the subscriptionful a man peering into windows of homes, no word he did that. >> a new york city judge has cleared a man of murder, he spent 21 years in prison for the crime. daric hamilton was freed in2011.

there is suspicion that the detective corrupted dozens of cases. hamilton made fellow inmates similar accusations while he he was in jail. he is now a paralegal. >> hamilton at attorney also are considering filing a civil suit against that detective, he is retired and cannot be criminally charged. mitt romeny said he is considering a third run for the white house. it's a move that surprised many of his loyal supporters and staff members. he ran in 2008 and 2012 and lost. he said he would run a different campaign this time around. as recently as october romney said publicly he was not planning on running. meanwhile new jersey governor chris christie plans to meet with potential supporters in the early voting state of south carolina.

christy said he intends to make a decision only this year on the 2016 for the gop nomination for president. christy has come under fire for his support for the dallas cowboys. he plans to attend the playoff game in green bay tomorrow. the spokesperson said the governor will pay for the ticket and travel himself this time. embattle the comedian bill cosby was heckled during a show in canada last night. [yelling]. >> stop, stop. stop. >> protesters yelled we believe in women. cosby asked them to stay calm when they did not he asked security to escort them out. cosby has denied sexual assault allegations from 15 women.

he thanked fans for what they believed in. two homes went up in flames on washington avenue around 10:00. chopper 6 was above the blaze. you can see smoke pouring from the large home. there's no word on the extent of injuries. the cause is under investigation. the gloucester county prosecutor's office said a 25-year-old father is behind bars for shaking his infant daughter. the baby suffered a skull fracture. michael rodriguez lived with his family in malaga. the children have been removed from the home. this is video from our tv partners at univision. the 8-month-old girl was hospitalized for a month. she has been undergoing rehabilitation. rodriguez was arrested thursday and charged with assault. the state of pennsylvania has shut down a day care in

wynmore after a child died in its care. surveillance video shows a staffer putting a sheet over the child's face and trying to hide the sheet when paramedics arrived. it's not clear when the incident happened. inspectors say the facility showed incompetent and negligent and misconduct. the atlantic city race course will close down next friday after 70 years in business. grace kelly's father was one of the founders. the current other than blames a trifecta of trouble the decline in the horse racing industry and lagging economy around atlantic city and alternative ways to make money. a berks county shelter

like the single digits. minus 2 is the windchill in reading. minus 8 in the poconos and 4 in philadelphia. satellite and radar, high pressure is scooting on by providing a whole heap of sunshine today. it's a beautiful looking day but it will be blustery and cold. the high pressure will activate the snow guns again, lake-effect snow bands off lake ontario could see one to two feet. big time snow is right through here but it stays out west. we have sunshine for today increasing clouds sunday. it looks quiet over the next few days today is quiet tomorrow increasing the high clouds. we get into tomorrow night. this is around the midnight hour first thing monday morning here comes the snow breaking out north and west, we'll see a band of sleet and freezing rain that will run parallel from wilmington up into philadelphia and mainly rain south and east.
