stay clear for longer. >> reporter: you know, eva earlier i said it's not windy out here, it feels better this morning, no, it doesn't. it's cold out here, it's not as harsh. with a lot until you see the numbers, it's just as bad temperature-wise. it's a clear morning throughout the area, but we have high, thin clouds starting to sneak in from west to east pushing across the western suburbs. take a look at what it's doing to the temperatures. fleetwood, 14, look at kennett square, they are down to 9. 7 in oxford. 17 in levittown. south and east, we go, temperatures are colder. it's clear in hammonton, they are down to 4. gandys beach buena 7 degrees glassboro, 9. woodbine 8 degrees. we have cold conscious this morning, we're going to moderate

this afternoon. 18 degrees by 8:00. 10:00 a.m. 25, by 1:35. and 4:00 p.m. 38 degrees. now the freezing mark is 32 so that he is about 6 degrees above average, it's only 89 second time this week that we've seen temperatures above average. this will start a moderating trend. now, in order to get into that mild air consistently we'll see a storm system pull through that's a pattern changer. that won't happen until after the morning commute with the cold air in place that means sleet and freezing rain first thing tomorrow morning. i'll talk about how much we get across the area in future tracker, i'll have that in the seven-day forecast when i come back in ten minutes. >> wake up with matt tam david and karen the "action news" morning team they will have you covered with the latest forecast road conditions and school delays or closings should they come in. developing right now a gruesome crime scene in philadelphia's mayfair section.

three people were found dead at a home in the 4600 block of vista street. police tell "action news" that the girl friend of a victim made the discovery. one victim was found laying face down in the kitchen. the other two were shot on the couch. all the victims were shot in the head execution style. the gunman or gunmen are still on the loose. police are working to piece together the crime scene at this hour. gunfire broke out at a birthday in the nicetown section of the city. it happened outside reflections bar. police say an argument started on the sidewalk around 1:30 when a person grabbed a gun and shot two young men and a woman. the woman was shot in the mouth she is the most seriously injured. police have not announced any suspects or said if all of the victims were targets. police are looking for a

precursor of things to come. after midnight the moisture is that right to move in from southwest to northeast. for today we'll see the gradual increase in clouds future tracker shows the clouds thickening overnight. by 8:00, you will see more out there than what the model is showing. you'll see the mix west of philadelphia from the delaware river points north and west, maybe icing across western portions of salem gloucester and burlington counties. from that point south and east it's mainly rain. 10:30, at that point that's when most temperatures will go above freezing. we'll get the five hour window 5:00 to 10:00 we'll get that period of icing and everybody goes over to cold plain rain. everybody is below 32 at at that point. 6:30 32. 9:30 most areas at 32 or

lunchtime. we're shooting for a high of 38 degrees which will feel pretty good. we went 91 consecutive hours with temperatures below freezing. today will be a better day. we have a nice pattern change heading our way. if you don't like the cold weather and snow, i've got good news for you the jet stream looks like, everyone north of that line it's been icy cold with a northwesterly wind with that's pretty much the set up here, across the mid atlantic and the northeast. we get into next weekend you'll see something similar to what we saw in december happening across the lower 48. the jet stream levels out the mild pacific air takes over and all the cold stuff gets bottle the up toward the hudson bay area. we'll catch a break starting next week starting sunday, temperatures climb into the 50s

>> reporter: state police investigators search for clues in the disappearance of kiesha hamilton and her two children. investigators issued an amber alert because they thought the children were in danger and with their father 32-year-old cortes hamilton senior. around 7:30 p.m. indiana state police spotted the 2005 suv near jasper. troopers caught up with the suv pulled it over and ordered hamilton out of the vehicle and took him into custody. inside they found the children safe. their mother not in the vehicle prompting delaware state police to issue a gold alert. they are concerned about her safety after they went to the couple's home and saw signs of what they call suspicious circumstances. hours later we saw investigators who took pictures inside the house removing bags of evidence. we learned that kiesha hamilton
