in a city where people can demonstrate in palace. in syracuse, new york, dozens of journalists gathered in support of those at the charlie hebdo newspaper who were killed in the attack. the newspaper poked fun at extremists by publishing satirical cartoons and report. some do not agree with the cartoons but defend freedom of speech. the search continues for a delaware mother after her two children were found safe in indiana. the children were reported missing along with their mother kiesha hamilton. they thought they were with the father and immanent danger. police spotted the man's suv in jasper. inside were the children. their mother was not in the vehicle. police questioned hamilton senior overnight. the search continues for an

award winning teacher who has been missing since tuesday. his wife told "action news" he was driving his parents car when he got out city avenue meets lincoln drive be he hadn't been seen since. family members are concerned for his well-being. >> it's hard when you have three young kids and they don't know where their father is and all they want is for their dad to come home. >> now tully has been an accomplished teacher at the middle bucks institute of technology in warwick since 2002. he was named teacher of the year last year. anyone with information is asked to call police. four children were removed from a northeast philadelphia home after police found them living in what they called deplorable conditions. the family lived on the 1200 block of greevey street. police say they received a complaint about noise when they went into the home, they found the children locked in a

bedroom. the children were removed from the home and taken to saint christopher appear's hospital to be checked out. neighbors say they never saw anything out of the ordinary. >> i support the family, i see a good human very nice, i did not see nothing. >> the special victims unit and department of human services are investigating so far no one has been arrested and no charges filed. the mother of a south jersey boy struck and killed by a police officer issued an angry response after learning no charges will be filed in the case. officer was one of three officers traveling to a nonmecialgcy -- non-emergency call when he hit matthew mccloskey. the crash was an accident. statement

we know we're dealing with cold temperatures, but it could be worse, take a look at the conditions in buffalo, new york, 7 1/2 inches fell friday and more snow is expected tomorrow. the lake-effect snow came with wind gusts of more than 40 miles per hour trapping many people in whiteout conditions and not the first storm of the season in buffalo. it's all about the snow. >> reporter: believe it or not you're looking at the images, they caught a break, they were

morning that will pull northeastward into the mid atlantic and the northeast. it will provide us with a sloppy mess everybody climbs above freezing during the morning hours, as the precipitation begins the air will be below 32 degrees. that means sleet and freezing rain and period of snow in the poconos. the national weather service has issued an winter weather advisory for everybody not including the jersey shore and places like cumberland county in south jersey and cape may and atlantic counties in south jersey just about everybody else is in that advisory. increasing clouds later today a nice quiet finish to the weekend. a few clouds that's about it. we get into monday morning, i think you'll see more in the way of moisture out there probably icing north and west snow in the lehigh valley and cold rain across south jersey. as we advance this through time,

9 although, icing across the northwestern suburbs snowing north and west in the lehigh valley and the poconos rain across south jersey. as we run this through everybody goes over to all rain as the milder air works into the area. this is pretty much what you will see not so much what you saw on the modeling. ice to rain in the shade of blue it covers everyone north and west of the delaware river and western portioning of -- portion also -- portions of salem gloucester and camden county. you can see an inch of snow in the lehigh valley before it changes over to eyes and then you'll get a tenth of an inch on top of the snow. it's going to be slick in the poconos. for philadelphia, north and west freezing rain with a quick changeover to rain.

language away to go. here's the water vapor image i like to use this, you're able to see things better on this, than on the satellite. if you look at the bottom of the screen toward dallas that's the counter clockwise swirl that's monday's storm that will come out of the gulf and swing into the mid atlantic tomorrow morning. the problem is temperatures are below freezing, the moisture moves in and cold air is in place that means we'll see a combination of sleet and freezing rain and snow in the lehigh valley just in time for the morning commute before going over to rain by afternoon. for today partly sunny not as cold or harsh 38 degrees is the forecasted high. i think you'll like this. wintery mix for monday, obviously you're not going to like that. once we get past that the arctic air wree -- retreats and possible 50s by next sunday. that's part of a pattern change

river run off. here's more information about the delaware county firehouse that was badly damaged by a hit-and-run crash over the weekend. we told you about the crash 9 chester township fire company yesterday morning. the crash caused tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage to the building. take a look at that. 22-year-old reese wilson was driving an suv he borrowed from a friend when he crashed into the firehouse. he has been arrested an charged with dui leaving the sunshine of an accident and driving without a license. fire company which is entirely volunteer relies heavily on donations it is out of service. in delaware, a restaurant was destroyed when a fire tore through a strip mall this weekend. it happened yesterday on the 2700 block of capitol trail in newark. several other businesses have smoke damage. nobody was hurt.

the fire marshal said it began in a faulty kerosene heater that brurls into flames as it was taken outside. a child was hurt after falling off a ski lift in montgomery county. the five-year-old fell from 0 feet. he was flown to children's hospital. the owner said the accident happened on the beginners chairlift the boy was alone in the seat. the restraint bar was up and the lift did not malfunction. there's no word on the child's condition. a family of five, plus an unborn child were killed in a horrific crash in maryland this weekend. the family from virginia was traveling on route 50 in maryland when their car collided with a tractor-trailer. the force of that collision caused the truck to roll over and land on top of the car. three adults and two children and unborn child were killed. the driver of the truck who was from wilmington delaware,

suffered minor injuries. the cause of the crash is under investigation. a group of 4th graders in new york are accused of plotting to hurt their teacher. the girls from the buffalo area were angry at a teacher who yelled at them. they knew she was highly allergic to hand is an advertiser. one of the mother also called the school to tell them about the attack. a lawyer for attorney general kathleen kane said she is being railroaded by republican men with political grudges. len e -- lenny davis addressed a report that kathleen kane should be charged with purjury. the claim the first term democrat leaked secret information to from the grand

to toe. the runners insist once they got running it wasn't that bad. but knowing that it it was colder there than it was here, i can't imagine that is true. >> we had someone on twitter telling us this morning they just popped in from a run. >> reporter: you can ask cecily, she loves running in the cold, it's easier handle. your body warms up when you're running she likes that. and some of runners out there when i lived in chicago they don't mind the cold. me on the on the other hand can't run in 50 degrees. we had temperatures that dropped as low as single digits. they had temperatures in the teens and below zero. it is much worse there than here. but everybody will start to improve over the next couple of days. there's the view in atlantic city. sun is glistening down. we'll see the cold temperatures

tomorrow morning snow sleet freezing rain. the snow will be in the lehigh valley and the poconos which will go over to sleet. everybody else starts out as sleet and going over to freezing rain and all rain in the late morning hours and into the afternoon. increasing clouds today cloudy skies overnight tonight. here's the moisture breaking out. 7:00 all this will be filled in. it will be filled in with the blue color here. we'll see a lot of freezing rain and sleet throughout the area here and probably light snow for the lehigh valley and the poconos. as we continue to advance it won't be until 10:00 11:00 when temperatures climb above the freezing mark and by 11:00 this is all just a cold rain falling across the lehigh valley and delaware valley. it will come to an end around 3:00, 4 and work out to sea. in the lehigh valley you'll start out as snow and sleet.
