showers are passing through, through much of the area on double scan radar most of the it south and east of philadelphia pushing away and thankfully temperatures are well above the freezing point no matter where you are. allentown 35 and 34 in reading and we are not looking at icing concerns with the rain and mixed wet snow showers far to the north passing through presently and millville a mild 42 and dover sitting at 40 degrees, we are tracking a clipper system low pressure that comes in out of alberta, canada and they are moisture starves tapping into the gulf of mexico and a piece to the south the two of them as they merge will brush us with precipitation mainly tomorrow afternoon because of that winter weather advisories are posted for new casting, chester, all points to the west, but most likely they will spill across the viewing area tomorrow meaning there is concern for that snow falling and combining

time for accuweather meteorologist adam joseph is back now after 10 weeks off well not off but 10 weeks elsz where. a closer look at the wintery mix. >> the morning rush is fine and it's the afternoon rush we have to watch as the snow picks up in intensity in much of the area, we are dealing with light rain showers east of philadelphia they are beginning to fall apart as they go into southern new jersey and areas in reading and allentown there is snow mixed in with rain and that is reducing visibility and the fog is mixing with the moisture in the middle

30s, lancaster 35 and temperatures are above the freezing point even where we saw a hit of snow in the last hour or two. and rain showers that passed through in millville and rain showers with a temperature of 40, a weak system rippling through to the west and clouds are wrapping up near pittsburgh and that continues to eat its way to the east and we'll see the clouds rip apart here and we'll see stars after midnight hours and then the clouds will build again tomorrow morning, ahead of the clipper system that is moving in from the northern plains, another piece of energy to the south as two of these collide in the atlantic with light snow, sleet and rain tomorrow afternoon, future tracker confirming after the clouds depart we see clearing overnight, early tomorrow morning for the rush hour, there are some areas of filtered sunshine as the clouds build back in even through the lunch

time hour, it's quiet around here, we see snow developing in the far western suburbs of philadelphia. it starts to puncture the i-95 corridor and by 7:00 tomorrow night, can you see snow falling in the area with mixing of sleet and rain in far southern areas and as quickly as it's sun pulls in and moves out, by midnight tomorrow night the clouds pull away. suspects snowfall totals across the area, 1 to 2 inches much of it in the afternoon on the roadways will first melt before we drop the temperature and we see bridges and overpasses in the evening rush get slush covered and a coating to an inch in the far zones the major impact here, the evening rush, not the amount of snow, the reduced visibility and timing and roads are wet and turning slippery into the rush hour allow extra time tomorrow evening the accuweather

borgata is sparking controversy on both sides tonight. we are continuing to track the approaching winter storm bringing a couple of inches of snow to the region. penndot is spreading brine on local roads in anticipation of the storm. lets head over to meteorologist, adam joseph with the latest from double scan radar. >> we had a few light rain showers that came through this evening and that washes some brine away that they coated the roads with this afternoon. it's a weak clipper system today and a secondary area of low pressure with moisture to the south and because it's coming out of the north northwest, the moisture source is limited so not a lot of precipitation for tomorrow but it's the time it passes through. not during the morning rush, it's quiet even during the lunch time hour, if you have to head out for lunch or do some errands it's the afternoon and

evening when the snow pushes in and it mixes with sleet and rain in the far southern areas and it continues to pull away tomorrow evening and tomorrow night. here is what to expect with the forecast models anywhere from a half inch to 2 inches depending on which model are you looking at. we'll see 1 to 2 inches of snow throughout tomorrow into tomorrow night. we'll talk about the forecast coming up. this is not the only storm we are watching in the full accuweather forecast. >> thank you. lets switch live to vernon odom who is in king of prussia tonight with more on preparations for tomorrow's snowfall. >> reporter: rick, out here tonight the track is damp but fast as people make their way home tonight. but tomorrow looks to be quite different and penndot knows it on mass we saw penndot trucks crisscrossing the area for whatever the weather may bring

the mixing of sleet and rain at the onset and the greatest area to see the 1 to 2 inches of snow is within in dash line in chester and new castle county and philadelphia and parts of camden and gloucester county that is where we could see the higher amounts, 2 inches is not a lot but it's the timing expect major delays for your evening rush tomorrow. low visibility with the snow falling and the bridges and the overpasses will be the first to be slush covered as temperatures drop below freezing when the sunsets and secondary roadways could be a bit of a concern here after 4:00 or 5:00 tomorrow. your next 12 hours early showers are moving to the east 28 degrees for center city and 20 for the suburbs and your exclusive accuweather forecast as the snow is falling temperatures stay above freezing and that is some good news and
