♪♪ "action news," delaware valley's leading news program. with jim gardner. this isn't the clipper that will hit the tri-state area tomorrow, but a little snow got the lehigh valley in the mood tonight. it won't be a big storm, but the timing of the snow could cause big problems during the evening rush. it is tuesday night and the big story on "action news" tonight is it just enough snow at just the wrong time. let's get right to meteorologist cecily tynan and live double scan radar. >> the system i am tracking is

close to 1,000 miles away from us. south of minneapolis, what is known as the clipper. they are fast-moving. they don't have loads of moisture but it is moving in from the west by midday hours. and really intensifying in time for the evening commute. futuretracker showing as the low pressure really reemerges off the coast and starts to enhance the snowfall this is when we will see heavier snow. you see the timing, that's at 5:00 tomorrow evening. that's the problem, the timing with the system. the weather service posted winter weather advisory for most of the southern parts of our viewing area. not a storm system where the farther north you are the more snow you see. it is clipping to the south, enhancing the snowfall generally south of philadelphia. the timeline from noon 'til 3:00 in the afternoon. the snow it pushing in. 4:00 to 8:00 is when to speck the steadiest snow in time for the evening commute.

his vision in the full inaugural address video. a bucks county jury has been excused for the night within the past hour and a half returning tomorrow to decide the fate of the former sportscaster don tollefson. kay >> after five hours of deliberation the jury and sent home by the judge after 9:30 after a 12 1/2 hour day and after concern of ice on the roadways. the jury here since 9:00 in the trial of don tollefson trying to decide if he frauded people and charities out of thousands of dollars. and they worked through the dinner hour with a series of requests about 8:45. asking to see a list of victims and restitution amounts owed which the judge agreed to let them see. asked to see the away games in the eagles' schedule.

the judge said no rely on memory. they asked to have the testimony of two witnesses reread and the judge said no to that also saying they have to rely on memory for that. the jury heard from tollefson serving as his own attorney. repeating his bad businessman defense, saying he wanted to help kids and intended to repay people for trips they did not get. now it is up to the jury to decide the verdict. here is the prosecutor tonight. >> they are a hard-working jury and i have no quarrel with them taking as long as it takes to get it right. i am very confident that he will do that. >> for his part don tollefson declined to comment on the advice of his attorney. the jury is expected to return at 9:00 tomorrow morning to resume their deliberations. live at the bucks county courthouse in doylestown.

investigation. recovered shell cases match a hand gun. but the home itself is set way back from the road. the investigation is now shifting focus to whether the shooting was meant to send a message, or if it was just coincidence that it was near the vice-president's home. bensalem police say this 36-year-old father sexually assaulted two young girls during sleepover parties at his home. the 9- and 10-year-old victims of friend of david huebsch's daughter. one is a girl scout and detectives are investigating if there are other victims. they say the molestation occurred over a year and a half. icy roads turn sunday morning on the blue route a nightmare and a radnor police officer in the middle of it literally. he experienced both triumph and despair. degrees. we do have some fog in pottstown 2-mile visibility. and the problem with fog, it is moisture. it is low to the ground. any of the moisture on the roads could be freezing on the untreated surfaces. do be careful for black ice in the overnight hours and early foam morning. satellite 6 along with actions radar showing we do have some clouds here building right now. mostly cloudy skies. the storm system i am tracking is not a blockbuster storm. it is south of minneapolis. the swirl here, intensifying as it moves east but moving out to sea. not lingering long but causing problems for the commute. and 8:00 tomorrow morning temperatures below freezing. could be areas ever black ice but nothing falling from the sky. as we head into the afternoon you'll notice the snow developing in the western suburbs around 3:00. south jersey and delaware above

freezing. first comes in as rain but quickly pulls in the cold air and changes over to snow. at 5:00 really heavy snow across south jersey and delaware. philadelphia missing out on a lot of the action until tomorrow evening. i really think the main problems are south of philadelphia. it's all out of here by midnight. expected snowfall, the areas wanting the snow the poconos, and skiers only a coating to an inch in the poconos. and the lehigh valley around philadelphia, trenton and reading looking 1-2 inches. as we get south of philadelphia still light accumulation but chadds ford wilmington into south jersey including hammington and millville. where we will see the higher amounts generally 2-3 inches of snow. the morning commute, no problems with snow falling. again temperatures below freezing there will be some areas of patchy plaque pies.

the evening commute, especially south of philadelphia the overpasses and bridges and secondary roads the first areas to get icy. the exclusive accuweather forecast, the light snow moving in in the afternoon, beginning as a mix. 34 degrees the high and temperatures dropping. thursday, mostly cloudy. 40. and on friday the calm before the next storm. 39 degrees. on saturday tracking a coastal storm that will bring us rain or snow or a mix depending on the track. 37 degrees. sunday, sunshine is back 40 degrees. it doesn't last long. we have another possibility of snow on monday and then tuesday brisk and cold and high of 34 degrees. david murphy will have new information on "action news" beginning at 4:30 tomorrow. but we have three opportunities for snow in the next week. bet getting more interesting. and center city philadelphia taking notes from time square.
