this is jim. a man who doesn't stand still. but jim has afib, atrial fibrillation an irregular heartbeat not caused by a heart valve problem. that puts jim at a greater risk of stroke. for years, jim's medicine tied him to a monthly trip to the clinic to get his blood tested. but now, with once-a-day xarelto®, jim's on the move. jim's doctor recommended xarelto®. like warfarin, xarelto® is proven effective to reduce afib-related stroke risk. but xarelto® is the first and only once-a-day prescription blood thinner for patients with afib not caused by a heart valve problem that doesn't require regular blood monitoring. so jim's not tied to that monitoring routine. gps: proceed to the designated route. not today. for patients currently well managed on warfarin, there is limited information on how xarelto® and warfarin compare in reducing the risk of stroke. xarelto® is just one pill a day taken with the evening meal. plus, with no known dietary restrictions jim can eat the healthy foods he likes.

don't stop taking xarelto® rivaroxaban, unless your doctor tells you to. while taking xarelto®, you may bruise more easily and it may take longer for bleeding to stop. xarelto® may increase your risk of bleeding if you take certain medicines. xarelto® can cause serious bleeding and in rare cases, may be fatal. get help right away if you develop unexpected bleeding, unusual bruising, or tingling. if you have had spinal anesthesia while on xarelto® watch for back pain or any nerve or muscle related signs or symptoms. do not take xarelto® if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. tell your doctor before all planned medical or dental procedures. before starting xarelto®, tell your doctor about any conditions such as kidney, liver, or bleeding problems. jim changed his routine. ask your doctor about xarelto®. once-a-day xarelto® means no regular blood monitoring, no known dietary restrictions. for information and savings options, download the xarelto® patient center app call 1-888-xarelto or visit goxarelto.com.

meteorologist, david murphy back now because of the pending snowfall. you won't see a lot now. >> no not yet the atmosphere is juicing up but it's not all hitting the ground yet. you have to stay stormtracker 6 live double scan shows you that we do have rain to the south and snow filling in in the western suburbs, a lot of this is not having an impact yet in philadelphia, there is just some light gray, really darker gray and light precipitation, some of this is evaporating before it hits the ground. as you head back into chester county, you see the lavender and brighter shades of white, this is where it's easier to pick up. some people tweeted my from
12:25 pm
kennett square saying they were not getting anything yet and in chester they said first snowflakes have you to wait for the right portion of the storm to get over you before it has an impact on you. if we go farther to the south we see the change over to what is liquid moisture and not the frozen variety. i have twitter followers up and down cape may county saying this is not doing much yet, it's light now and steadier stuff coming off the delaware bay that could start to get you wet. up to the north sea isle city around millville that is probably hitting the ground as well. we are transitioning towards the snow but it's a slow transition, and we have to wait until we get the heavier storms here in the west. if you haver rans to run, i would get them done quick in the next hour or two. particularly to the west of philadelphia, as we take a look
12:26 pm
outside we have the action cam looking at horseys, that might be that place up in northeast philadelphia where the police horses are kept. that seems to be familiar to me. 32 degrees, your temperature right now in philadelphia hovering close to the freezing mark and cold enough to support stuff sticking to the roads winds light from the east and the temperatures are milder the farther south you go and this is the area where we see the change over, 33 in wilmington and satellite showing you how the clouds filled in as expected and rain to the south and clouds to the north and it will be a while before it gets through here. on and off snow showers through the day this is the 7:30 view and by then we may break down to lighter snow showers and it gets out of here by 10:00. in terms of how much we are looking at it depends on the model, the fact that there is a variation here in philadelphia
12:27 pm
suggests it's a weak fast moving system maybe an inch to 2.5 inches or higher than that. and the official snowfall call is for the higher amount mainly in south jersey and delaware this is where it looks to us that we'll have the upper level support that will enhance the snowfall, 1 to 2 inches in philadelphia and for the evening rush it could be coming down. only a coating to an inch to the north. your exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, a high of 34 today and once the snow starts to come in the temperature will settle down to the freezing mark or below and if you get steady enough snow, slow going for the evening commute and the rest of the snow wraps up at sock and clouds to sun and tomorrow friday and 38 on saturday there is a coast at storm that is inching closer to us and a high of 38 i believe there is a chance of a wintry mix, at times snow and at times rain to the
