board shows you a series of small snow showers pushing through, we have a little concern we could get an additional coating out of the this especially areas south and eastern parts of pennsylvania. it could change over to rain and freezing drizzle. we have a winter weather advisory until 8:00 a.m. after that we expect the situation to improve but freezing drizzle up until 8 in through here, not everybody sees it. snow totals we're not that much in the northern and western areas. a couple of folks got an inch. we kind of underperformed so you don't have much snow to deal with in areas of western pennsylvania. bridgeton, estelle manner, sea fill and cumberland county in through here you did get two to three inches. there is more snow on the side

streets and secondary streets. # 1 degrees in -- 31 in philadelphia. 30 in wilmington, 30 in wildwood. everybody below freezing anything that didn't get cleared out last night is there this morning. 8 at 29. 3:00 p.m. 43 that's the high before we dip back down to the mid 30s by 6:00 p.m. karen rogers roads might be diazy here other there. but the main roads are in good shape. >> reporter: because of the timing of the storm, the little snow we had had a tough time sticking to the roads. we're looking at i-95 near 420 this is delaware county. yes we see a little snow off to the sides is not seeing a trace of it organ the highway itself. i would watch for a slick spot here or there with the temperatures below freezing, we're not seeing any big

problems. we're looking at the blue route you need to especially careful on the ramps and overpasses. we do see the snow mostly over here off to the side of the road. on the blue route looking good, speeds in the 50s as you head out. god shall road we have an accident in souderton. it's the only accident on the roads. we have a handful of schools across the tri-state area opening on delay at 6abc.com. eva pilgrim is live in pennsauken, camden county, good morning, eva. >> reporter: good morning, matt, the major inter states and roads look good on our way to pennsauken. some of the secondary neighborhood roads where you may see some issues though, we have enough snow here along route 70 to cover the grass in

pennsauken. crews were out there the night to make sure the major roads were clear for the this morning and we spotted a little slush on the roads but this morning all the major roads are looking good. >> in some spots it's icing up. other than that it's good with clearing the roads. some of the back roads are not that well, but usually they take care of it in about 24 hours. >> reporter: now places that we have seen some issues this morning, as we said on the neighborhood roads keep an eye on the driveways and parking lots that you have to walk through, we did encounter ice in this parking lot here. just be careful take your time and use your head when you wake up until the sun comes out and melts away the ice and slipperiness, eva pilgrim channel 6 "action news." >> the snow made for tricky

stafford street in germantown. prils say a man came in wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, he had a ski mask covering his face and he took cash and opened fire. there were several other people inside the store including the other than who was behind the counter holding a 2-year-old boy at the time the shots were fired. the employee was shot once in the face and twice in his three. police rushed him to the hospital in critical condition. police say it is for fortunate nobody was hit. >> it's a small store and tight contained area in addition to the shooting victim who were in the store there were five other people in the store including customers, the owner and 2-year-old boy who was behind the counter. >> the suspect was last seen running west on stafford with a silver semi automatic gun.

if you have any tips, northwest detectives wants to hear from you. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you for that. we're following new developments this morning out of edgewater new jersey after a massive fire. a state of emergency scene of the accident because of the fire. local schools will be closed. the blaze broke out around 4:30 at the avalon. this is across the hudson river from new york city. hundreds of people lost their homes, unfortunately everybody made it out of there safely, look at those flames. witnesses reporting seeing blue flames that indicated that gas may may have been burning. >> fire force add family of -- forced a family of 8 from their home last night in atco. crews knocked down the flames. red cross is assisting five adults and three children. no word on what sparked the

31 degrees, that means we're below the freezing mark. winds are light this morning. let's get you outside we've sky 6 we're looking at center city. you can see the main roads look like they have been nice and treated overnight. everything looking good main road wise. in southeastern pennsylvania we got an inch. south jersey is an area that got more snow. cloud cover, you can see we'll be dealing with a lot of the that some sunny breaks, as you hit the roads the morning commute, we want you to watch for areas of black ice. if you see any rain drops on your windshield down south slow it down because that could be freezing drizzle. temperatures today, 29 by #. 34 by 11:00.

41 degrees, high of 42 around 3:00 p.m. 38 degrees is the 5:00 p.m. temperatures we start to dip down and get colder again. we'll be watching an area of low pressure coming up from the south it will take the form of a nor'easter. i would call it a nor'easter, it doesn't have a whole lot of cold air in place. there are some uncertainty with the storm whether it's snow or rain or something in between it's hard to call at this point. future tracker 6 shows you in the wee hours of saturday morning from 1:00 a.m. to # there's a chance of snow this could pile up maybe one two three inches. the problem is that warm air will be coming in behind that. looks like it will change over to rain as we go up to 8:00. the rest of the precipitation through the day appears to be rain. this is one model run, if the

storm draws in cold air it could produce snow. just to give you an idea what the models are looking at. nam says 2.7. the others, nothing at all. saturday morning, into the early afternoon, a possible wintry mix. 42 degrees clouds and sun partly sunny friday, 38. no problem days ahead. rain and snow or maybe vials verse is -- vice versa snow first and then rain. sunday, sun returns and monday we have a shot of snow showers monday night in through tuesday that doesn't look real big but it's a long way off and we'll keep our eyes on it. >> 4:11, a burlington county community gathers to remember a

it could black ice so take it slow. >> my main complaint is the rock salt is still there and flying all over the place. but it's dry on the main highways. >> reporter: i was surprised in my neighborhoods they came through the side streets even in the developments and took care of the roads. it's good to be cautious especially after sunday's storm right. looking live, you can see how nice and clear it is on the schuylkill expressway, people moving just fine at this point not detecting any snow on the roadway, but you know after any kind of storm a even such a minor one we have to watch for a slick spot here or there. this is route 100 in chester county. you can see a shine on the roads, you have to watch it's a tad slippery. be careful as you head out.

not to say we don't have accidents. we have one in collegeville louis road, stick to spring mill lane to give you an example of some of the problems out there. in noon we got more snow, but the main highways, 43 no problems. the waze app the potholes are the issues not so much the snow. conshohocken state road, member of our 6abc team put that in there, pothole on conshohocken state road. watch for that one. let's take a look at storm tracker 6 live double scan, david has been talking about these very light snow showers that are still tout there. out there. we'll watch for that. i-95 moving toward wilmington and middletown, delaware. very light just something to use a little more caution. >> thanks, karen. a burlington county

community remembered a newborn girl who police say was killed at the handles of her own mother. the prayer vigil was held last night. hyphernkemberly dovilier gave birth to a baby girl on friday and then police say for the reasons unknown she set the baby on fire killing the newborn. hyphernkemberly dovilier is in jail facing a murder charge. >> it's a horrible thing, i am a grandmother. anybody would have took that baby she didn't have to throw it away like trash. >> family members of the accused mother were accused as well. they released a sky lantern and consoled each other. a delaware man is under arrest charged with a hate crime. daniel lawrence was arrested in townsend. he left a message for him.

police said was a hate crime. he is free on $5,000 bail.
