two days because there is relatively warm air in place. philadelphia 39 and allentown 37 and the poconos is the cool spot 27 degrees. satellite 6 along with action radar showing lots of clouds today and we had some breaks in the clouds this afternoon with sunshine and a wider view showing this low pressure, it's south of houston, this is the main low a piece of upper level energy that joins us this is the low pressure that moves off the eastern seaboard and off the carolina coast and rolls up the coast as a nor'easter early on saturday. future tracker showing the moisture moving in during the wee hours of morning between 10:00 friday night and 2:00 saturday morning, you can see when it first arrives in philadelphia when most of us are sleeping it is in the form of snow however, warmer air gets pulled in by the system so by 10:00 we have a change to rain in most of you viewing area
5:26 pm
except for the northern burkes area and the poconos and that moisture moves out in the afternoon and saturday. yesterday i showed you the models and the european was showing more than 5 inches of snow on saturday and now there is a good consensus that in philadelphia, we are looking at a relatively minor snow event, 1 to 2 inches before we get the change over to rain, that will likely happen by 6:00 in the morning on saturday for philadelphia. so this is what to expect south jersey and delaware before the rain moves in a coating to perhaps an inch and then that rain washes away all the snow, the immediate i-95 area, including the nearby suburbs we are looking at 1 to 3 inches of snow before the change over to rain to get a pure snow event have you to go north of the trenton and the lehigh valley and the poconos, and that is our best bet of seeing more than 3 inches of snow or 2 more inches of snow with no change over to
