first let's begin with meteorologist cecily tynan and adam joseph. cecily you've got accuweather details for it. >> that's right, rick and monica. we have one storm for the beginning of the weekend and the other one at the end of the weekend. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing storm number one the nor'easter we have been talking about for about a week now is beginning to spread its moisture in from the south. you'll notice it looks like we have some in philadelphia but this is virga, this is not yet reaching the ground but the atmosphere is beginning to get moist. that column of air will get moist as we head through the evening hours. much wider view on storm tracker 6 live double scan showing that this is a very big storm system. the center of had low pressure over southern georgia, it will become that coastal low off the coast of the carolinas and hug the coast and they even have some very heavy thunderstorms across parts of florida. that moisture will be moving in and we're looking at -- let me back this up one graphic the winter weather alerts, you can see how this is going to cause problems for most of the

eastern seaboard for the first half of the weekend. we've got about a thousand miles of winter weather advisories and watches and warnings. now talking about the temperatures. they're marginal for snow. philadelphia it's 38 degrees right now. washington, d.c. it's 41 and as that storm system bombs out, intensifies and it will be pulling in air off the ocean and the ocean temperature is 38 degrees so that will cause a change over to rain. so, what you get depends on where you are. for details on that let's head over to adam joseph. adam. >> yeah, as it begins this evening it also depends on where you are for timing as well. as we look at wilmington, millville, wildwood dover it begins at 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock. on the verge of the lehigh valley expected to begin between 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock and far to the north anywhere between about 10:00 and midnight. future trackerfuture tracker 6 will show at 5 o'clock there's the storm we saw on double scan with all the precipitation down to the south in the carolinas. by 11 o'clock, we have that wet snow breaking out in all

counties. in southeastern pennsylvania including delaware a mix and rain into far southern new jersey and delaware: those far northern and western suburbs tonight into saturday it begins as snow for an extended period of time and then eventually we'll change over after about three four, 5:00 a.m. to some mixed precipitation with some icing involved and some minimal rain especially in the lehigh valley up towards quakertown and pottstown. along i-95 all of the towns in between where you see here from trenton lindenwold, glassboro down to middletown, brief snow and then a quick change to rain and we're looking at a half to an inch of rain and then around the philadelphia and the coastal communities in southern delaware, it's just a few flakes at first. then it's a soaking rain and we're looking at over an inch of rain in that region but again the target zone for not only heavier snow but also a brief period of some freezing rain between about 4:00 a.m.

and 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning that could glaze all surfaces, allentown quakertown, pottstown also in and around western and northern chester county. when meteorologist cecily tynan comes back she'll let you know how much snow you'll see and areas where it will wash up coming up. >> thank you adam. eva pilgrim live at a salt yard for us in hunting park. busy place right eva. >> reporter: they are getting ready. they've been busy all day today, monica getting ready for this storm. they started prepping for it last night making sure that the roads are ready for whatever weather comes our way. today is the day, the calm before the storm. that has many stocking up. >> take everything with a pinch of salt. >> reporter: that's how many are planning to get through this storm with the help of ice melt. it is a must have item today at the home depot in king of prussia. >> realize that we're using a lot more salt than we are buying so we need to now -- we need to be proactive. we're storing now hoard hoarding.

>> certain don't want to be on the roads. just going to clear my drive way. >> reporter: penndot crews brined the major interstates and highways in philadelphia and delaware counties. today they put brine down in montgomery, bucks and chester counties. >> winter weather can be unpredictable because obviously conditions can be very challenging so my advice is slow down. just give yourself plenty of time but you need to reduce your travel speeds when you're traveling during inclement weather. >> reporter: many folks we talked to today say after the weather-related accidents we've seen in the last week, they aren't taking any chances. >> don't want to put myself in a position where you get in an accident and get hurt. >> planning to do something tomorrow but apparently the news is ominous. >> well, i think just be cautious. don't be in a hurry because nothing is worth your life. >> reporter: now, if you do have to head out on the roads tomorrow head to our 6abc app

allegedly he also raped multiple children. 20-year-old john corcoran of glenolden was brought in to face an additional 161 counts today. investigators say he sexually assaulted 14 young victims in a two-year period. now, you may remember corcoran was arrested in august for allegedly torching houses so that he could put out the fires. we'll have a live report with more on these new charges coming up at 6:00. police from upper merion and philadelphia have uncovered what they say was a stash house for stolen goods and they were hauling away items from the scene by the truckload. "action news" reporter john rawlins has that story from north philadelphia. >> reporter: only "action news" was there this morning as police entered out 2014 opal street in north philadelphia. in bucket brigade fashion out came a steady stream of allegedly stolen goods, small electronics, plumbing items including a new hot water

heater still in the box and two rather ornate crystal lamps. >> they run the gamut. >> reporter: out of an 1100 square foot row home worth about $35,000 came 3 truckloads of stuff valued. >> in excess of $125,000 of suspected stolen goods. >> reporter: while philadelphia police provided manpower the investigation isedded by upper merion police many of the items allegedly taken from stores in and around king of prussia and well beyond. >> various stores around the region extending up into north jersey and as far south as virginia. >> reporter: were they hadn'td here or were they just operating,. >> we're still investigating that. >> reporter: also under investigation whether the alleged items were sold after this house. after police departed several people went into the building. none of them would comment about the accusation the house had been packed with stolen goods. police say there are suspects and arrests will be made though not likely today. today we were told would be a day for sorting things out and making an inventory of what

was carted off from here. in north philadelphia, john rawlins channel6 "action news." >> a young girl was killed in a two car crash this morning in east oak lane. this was the scene just after 8:00 a.m. on cheltenham avenue. police say for an unknown reason this black mustang crossed into oncoming traffic and then slammed into a wall. a minivan then hit the wreck. an 11-year-old girl an 35-year-old woman were taken to einstein. the girl did not survive. the investigation is still ongoing tonight. meanwhile officials are still trying to identify the pedestrian killed in a hit and run last evening in edgemoor, delaware. investigators say a man was killed trying to cross i-495 northbound. one car knocked him onto the road and he was then run over by several others. state police say all of the cars remained at the scene but further details have not yet been release. >> time right now for a check of our "action news" traffic report. friday night. >> a lot of folks anxious to get home on a friday evening.

matt pelman has the low down on the slow down. >> what a way to start that weekend, shirleen and rick. crash on the blue route 476 southbound side near villanova. we were already severely backed up on the southbound blue route because of the accident down around lima springfield that cleared. now this one has been pushed off to the shoulder. we're starting to get a little bit better but coming south of the schuylkill especially through this point near villanova it's extra heavy this afternoon. normal delays on the schuylkill itself westbound by the boulevard still have that broken down vehicle off to the side. and in collingswood watch out for a crash by cabana water ice on had ton avenue at knight avenue. mansfield township police activity. you'll hit it if you're heading southbound on 206 past 68 near jeff's tire and auto and in townsend delaware a wreck along dupont pork way way -- parkway. southbound trains will not be stopping at the allegheny

>> investigators in western pennsylvania are questioning one person in connection to this massive fire this morning near pittsburgh. flames ripped through five buildings causing one of them to collapse here in homestead allegany county. police say the person being questioned lives in one of the buildings damaged. two people were hospitalized after they were rescued from the flames. everyone also hadi it out on their own. well tonight people at tokyo's largest mosque are praying for the safe return of two japanese hostages now in the hands of islamic militants. earlier this morning those militants warned that the clock is ticking on the lives of the two hostages. japan's prime minister was originally given three days to pay the militants a $200 million ransom. well that deadline passed this morning before the new warning was issued. now it's unclear if the two hostages are still alive. >> time for health check there. may be some good news when it comes to the flu this season. the number of cases in pennsylvania is actually

dropping. >> health reporter and registered nurse ali gorman is at the big board with those details. >> reporter: if you take a look at this chart from the pennsylvania department of health this spike was around the holidays now it's gone down two weeks in a row but despite this, we're still seeing widespread activity in pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. a total of 56 children nationwide have died this season from complications from the flu. we're seeing it hit children under four and adults over 65 harder than other age groups. this year the predominant strain h3n2 has mutated so the vaccine only offers 23 percent protection against this strain. but the flu shot is still recommended because it can prevent other strains. also make sure you're washing your hands often and stay weigh from others who are sick. also dat first batches of an experimental ebola vaccine have been shipped to liberia. it's the first to arrive in one of the main ebola affected

countries and it will be used to start a large scale trial. the vaccine is made by glaxo smithkline and the national institutes of health. it will be given to healthcare workers. now early studies show that it is safe but it has been fast tracked. so, the safety of the volunteers will come first but there are also some concerns that it may be difficult to see if the vaccine is working because fortunately in liberia right now there are less than 10 known cases of ebola. the numbers have also dropped in guinea and sierra leone but keep in mind the outbreak has killed more than 8,000 people. it is still a problem so finding an effective vaccine will be a huge help. rick and monica. >> thanks ali. >> more news when we come right back. stay with us.

say employees involved in the scheme have been fired. southwest airlines is saving big on fuel but it's not likely it will translate to keeper air fares. southwest and other airlines are putting the money they saved from fuel and spending it on infrastructure and improvements. the airline said it expects to save more than a billion and a half dollars this year thanks to lower fuel costs. southwest plans to expand into mexico and central america this year and the ceo is also considering flights to and from cuba. >> a record number of firearms was seized by the t.s.a. last year. the department of homeland security says agents took more than 2200 firearms from carry on luggage in 2014. that is a 22 percent increase from last year. dallas fort worth international seized the most guns 120. the t.s.a. screened more than 2 billion carry on and checked bags last year. well racers and race fans are gathering this weekend at the motorsports expo in oaks montgomery county.

the greater philadelphia expo center is hosting more than 200 race cars in all shapes and sizes along with hundreds of vendors selling speed equipment. several nascar drivers also will be there for photos and autographs along with dozens of local short track stars. plenty of horsepower on display this weekend at the expo center in oaks.

>> time for accuweather at the "action news" big board. meteorologist cecily tynan here. >> we start the weekend with nor'easter tonight and then we end the weekend with a clipper that will bring some snow sunday night through monday morning. tonight though it's quiet. we are live on sky 6 taking a look at philadelphia international airport where it's mostly cloudy. things are rolling on very well but tomorrow i do expect a lot of delays at philadelphia international airport as well as a lot of airports along the eastern seaboard so you definitely do want to call before trying to fly out tomorrow. winter weather advisory is in effect tonight through tomorrow for most of our viewing area. the exception is cape may and kent county and this is because down there we are looking at really a pure rain event, no snow and the farther north you are, the more snow you will see. temperatures right now though pretty mild. 38 degrees our high today 42 degrees that's 2 degrees above normal, so a pretty nice

end to their work week. allentown 35, millville 35, wilmington 36, when i would wood 37 and the poconos currently 28 degrees. so satellite6 along with action radar showing this moisture field is beginning to creep up from the south. low pressure currently in southern georgia will emerge off the coast of the carolinas and roll up the eastern seaboard. it's going to be intensifying very quickly and moving quickly and once it bombs out once it really intensifies it will be tapping into moisture from the atlantic and warmer air and that's when we're going to be seeing the changeover. so, future tracker showing the best chance of seeing snow in and around philadelphia will be later on tonight. you can see that purple. that's the snow that will be moving in between about 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock in philadelphia from the south and then it will continue to move up to the north. look how quickly though, things change over. it has changed over to rain along the i-95 corridor by 4 o'clock in the morning so most of our region you wake up tomorrow morning it's already

changed over to rain and then as we head around 8 o'clock some of that changeover by the lehigh valley, the poconos staying as snow most of the day and once this storm system begins to roll out tomorrow late in the afternoon and the evening we'll probably get one more burst of snow. by then temperatures will be warm enough that that really shouldn't accumulate. so, this is what to expect. cape may and southern kent county you are just going see just rain. southern delaware and southern new jersey we're looking at a coating to an inch tonight but that is all washed away by rain by tomorrow morning. the i-95 corridor including philadelphia wilmington and trenton, 1 to 3 inches of snow before that changeover to rain before dawn but then the far northwest suburbs 3 to 5-inches of snow and the southern part of this viewing area including quakertown pottstown and reading this is really the concern that i have with the icing tomorrow that will be on top of the snow. so that could cause a lot of travel problems. this is what to expect with a

nor'easter. the heaviest precipitation occurring in the wee hours of the morning between 2 o'clock and 8 o'clock in the morning. that's also when we'll see that changeover. there will be a period of icing in the far northwest suburbs and then during the day tomorrow generally light precipitation and again could have a few snowflakes late in the day but it won't accumulate. so, the five day at 5:00 showing tomorrow that light rain and a mix 39 degrees. sunday we start with sun then increasing clouds, 42 degrees. ahead of our next system, that will bring us some snow late sunday night into monday morning and then temperatures really drop down into the 20's so it's going to be a pretty active weekend. more details coming up in the full accuweather 7-day forecast. >> good weekend for couch potatoes. >> sunday morning is going to be sunny. you can go out for a run then. >> no, i'll still be sitting there with the remote. thanks cecily. much more still to come. a man suspected of pulling off a robbery spree across philadelphia is now in police custody and we've got details. >> the family of a dell bear woman who seemingly vanished

>> ♪♪ >> "action news" continues with meteorologist adam joseph, jamie apody, rick williams and monica malpass. >> ♪♪ >> hello again. here's what's happening on "action news" tonight. here we go again. another snow maker is knocking on our door bringing a mixed bag of precipitation to our area starting in the next few hours. bridgeton new jersey officials update the public about the police shooting that left a man dead. plus, we are getting a better look at the man wanted for allegedly attacking a teenager on a septa trolley. >> now the details. we're tracking a nor'easter that will bring snow, ice and rain to the region starting tonight. >> in fact, winter storm advisory takes effect at 9 o'clock tonight and it will end tomorrow morning. >> because the storm will be such a mixed bag of precipitation, penndot isn't taking any chances. chopper 6 hd was over i-95 in bucks county this afternoon and you can see the brining operation well under way and will likely be repeted several

times during the course of the storm. >> in the first state deldot crews are topping off trucks with salt. here at the north district yard in christiana. officials say they will not be pretreating the roads this storm mainly because there's still salt residue on the roads and this nor'easter will start off with rain. >> i have everyone staged out in their earns ready to go as soon as it starts to actually, you know, precipitate and fall. >> delaware residents hit the home improvement stores in the area to pick up salt and new shovels. >> let's head over to meteorologist adam joseph at the "action news" big board with the latest from double scan radar. adam. >> rick for the majority of the region by tomorrow morning into the mid morning hours mother nature will help out the salt trucks by washing much of that snow and the slush away on the roadways especially in new jersey and delaware. right now double scan live radar will show the leading edge of the precipitation trying to come together south of dover and especially near baltimore and washington. in fact double scan live radar will show we've got a decent

amount of moisture to the south and west that will pull up the eastern seaboard over a thousand miles of real estate dealing with this particular winter storm as it will develop into a low pressure center and deepen rapidly and push to the north and east as it sends in warm air off the atlantic. in fact, as we take a look at the temperatures across the eastern half of the country, even as far west as chicago not much in the way of bitter cold winter-like air. raleigh 37 cincinnati 38 and philadelphia right now coming in at 38 degrees so that's why much of the region is going to struggle and fight to keep it in the frozen form. in fact, here's the time line tonight into saturday. you can expect some of that rain and snow to arrive from the south to the north between 6 o'clock and 11 o'clock, six can clock in southern areas near dover, 11 o'clock near the lehigh valley. between 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. that's when we see the heaviest precipitation and by 8:00 a.m. in the morning and throughout the afternoon tomorrow just some lingering light precipitation as the meat of the storm will have

letting the process run its course today. >> mayor dellly asked the residents of bridgeton not to rush to judgment and i wholeheartedly commend the residents of this great city for doing just that. you have shown great restraint as we wait for the results of the investigation. >> prosecutors say a gun was recovered from the scene. both officers are on leave during the investigation. meanwhile the wife of jerome reid has declined an offer by the reverend al sharpton to get involved in the case. la lawanda reid released this statement: i want national awareness alliance to continue to be the official organization fighting for justice for my husband and family. reverend sharpton's involvement is not needed. >> meantime west chester university police are investigating a reported rape

on campus. the female student told police she was raped in a residence hall at 3:00 a.m. on wednesday. she did report it the next day. authorities say the alleged attacker a male student was removed from campus and an arrest is pending. officials say the victim and her alleged attacker did know each other. philadelphia police have now released new surveillance video of an attack on the route 15 septa trolley line that left a teenager with serious injuries. take a good look at this man authorities say he became violent when the young woman's backpack kept bumping him. he then lashed out at the 17-year-old girl carrying it. the confrontation became violent and when it was over the girl had a broken nose and bruises. if you have seen this man, please contact philadelphia police. federal and local authorities have arrested a man wanted in at least 10 robberies across philadelphia. cartel wright was taken into custody this morning. officials say they found him hiding in a closet in a home in north philadelphia. police say wright is wanted for robbing fast food restaurants and pharmacies.

they say he even robbed the same rite-aid store four advertisements he is also wanted for a carjacking. >> overseas now time is running out for two japanese men being held hostage by isis. the terrorist organization gave officials 72 hours to pay them a ransom in exchange for the men's lives. abc's karen travers has the latest tonight. >> reporter: isis demanded $200 million from the japanese government in exchange for the release of two japanese hostages. the deadline for that ransom payment has passed with no word on the hostages' fate. overnight in tokyo the mother of one of the hostages making a last minute emotional plea for isis to spare her son. [speaking foreign language] >> reporter: her son is a respected jap nieces television reporter. he traveled to syria last year. his colleagues described him as careful.

>> he's not a gung-ho war journalist. he cares about humanity. >> reporter: before he went he left behind this video saying only he was to blame if he was captured by isis. the other japanese hostage a self described adventurer. he was captured by isis last year and accused of being an american spy. if isis goes through with its threats that would be seven hostages killed by the alleged executioner called jihadi john because of his british accent. >> we now have 72 hours to pressure your government in making a wise decision. >> reporter: that same masked man is believed to have been the executioner in the murders of americans james foley steve sotloff and peter kassig and before it's david haines and allen henning. u.s. and british officials say they know the identity of gee yes hadi john but they're not making it public as they're looking for ways to capture or kill him. reporting from washington,

karen travers channel6 "action news." >> residents in yemen took to the streets in protest in response to the rebel led coup earlier this week. the u.s. backed president stepped down yesterday along with his prime minister and cabinet. shiite rebels have taken control of the capitol. the rebels now in charge are also fighting with the local al-qaeda branch which the u.s. considers to be the most dangerous terrorist group in the world. the u.s. army releases a report today thon 2014 deadly rampage at fort hood in texas. officials say the base did not have a system in place that could have predicted the massacre. they say there were no clear warnings that specialist ivan lopez would go on a shooting spree before killing himself. four soldiers were killed, 16 others wounded. the report went on to say that no single factor prompted the deadly incident. >> time for a look at traffic on a friday night as folks head home. >> matt pelman back in the "action news" traffic center with the very latest. hey, matt. >> calm before the storm rick and monica but not on the

roads. this friday night we have issues we're watching including this unfortunate situation. a crash on the schuylkill expressway eastbound side here near conshohocken involving this shop rite tractor-trailer. it's kind of partially sticking out into the left lane. so you're seeing extra slowing us a approach gulph mills through this point at conshohocken on in toward the curve. watching a pair of issues in camden county in collingswood a crash along the white horse pike and water main break in audubon park. in burlington county, pair of grabs, one here along 541 atwood lane road in west amount ton and in moorestown haines mill road at tom brown. tomorrow broad street subways will not stop southbound at allegheny. they need to make repairs there so that's going to last for an undetermined amount of time. no southbound trains stopping in allegheny. the next stop to the north is eerie so maybe use that one instead. have a good weekend rick and monica.

the nfl finally releases a statement today saying they're still investigating whether or not the patriots broke the rules and purposely deflated game balls in the afc championship game to give them an advantage. so far the nfl has conducted 40 interviews also a they try to get to the bottom of this. evidence shows so far that the footballs that were under inflated were used by the patriots in the first half. then those same footballs were properly inflated for the seconds half. we will see how this plays out. sixers leading scorer tony wroten has a partially torn acl in his right knee. he'll undergo the surgery. sixers own don have an exact timetable on when wroten will play against. minus wroten sixers place toronto tonight after 7:00. kyle lowry returns home tonight with the raptors making this trip even more special after nine years in the nba, he's going to his first all-star game. when he found out last night he says he was screaming and

>> meteorologist adam joseph with a closer look at the weekend and boy, there's a lot going on. >> kind of a book end week. we got one storm to begin another storm to end. >> welcome back by the way. >> yeah, right. >> bring it all for you. hey, i bring bearing gifts here. >> no thanks. >> take a look at storm tracker 6 live double scan. we're starting to see the colors blossom. to the south and east of wilmington and lancaster the white would be the snow, the blue would be that mixture of sleet and then the green would be rain. so everything getting thrown at us overnight tonight. look at the numbers. 35 trees in allentown, 38 philadelphia, 36 in dover, 35 in millville, 28 in the poconos. so not terribly cold when

we're talking about a nor'easter pulling in but as that precipitation overtakes the region, we'll rapidly cool the air just meaning when the precipitation falls it kind of drags and creates its own cold air. that will supply a little burst of snow for most before we get that flipover to rain when the storm really gets going. satellite and radar there you can see all the moisture down to the south encompassing everywhere from the shore communities of virginia and the carolinas all the way west into the ohio and tennessee valley. as we time it with future tracker 6 by 10 o'clock there's central lancaster chester county into philadelphia as beginning with snow. rain in far southern areas right at the get go and that rain-snow line and also a very -- very thin area where that transition in that blue is some sleet and freezing rain. that lifts to the north of philadelphia between two and 3 o'clock in the morning as rain takes over southern areas still snowing to the north and again there mixing line right

on the verge of the lehigh valley at 7 o'clock in the morning with the poconos and snow, rain across i-95 south and east. into the early afternoon hours tomorrow still some lingering rain showers but as the colder air wraps in as the storm deepens over new england it could end as a quick burst of snow in the afternoon tomorrow but with temperatures in the upper 30's the snow during the day tomorrow will not accumulate on the ground. so, all the accumulation comes in basically during the overnight hours. a coating to an inch in far southern areas before it washes away as it quickly changes to rain. wilmington, philadelphia to trenton, those northwestern suburbs of chester montgomery, bucks county at least the southern end of it 1 to 3 inches and then to the north and west three to 3 to 5-inches. this purple zone pottstown, reading not only will they see snow there but to the west there will be a small area of ice accumulation as that snow transitions or tries to transition to rain. as we look at less than a

quarter of an inch but that ice will accumulate on the snow that has already fallen so at least this go around unlike sunday morning when the ground was bare when the freezing rain developed this will accumulate on the snow with the power lines trees bridges, overpasses, sidewalks and driveways. it still will be very slick and dangerous and could add a little weight to the power lines so if you get enough of it there could be some scattered power outages but we're not expecting a massive ice storm with this overnight tonight in those far northwestern suburbs. so for tonight snow to start and then mixing and changing to rain for most later on in the night as temperatures rise above freezing. and the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast it ends tomorrow afternoon. again, it could be a brief period of snow but above freezing temperatures. clouds build on sunday after a decent amount of sun in the morning and then on monday another round of morning snow in time for the morning commute. looks like 1 to 3 inches, not a big storm but bad timing for the morning rush on monday so expect delays then and then it's brisk and cold thereafter

>> ♪♪ >> "action news." delaware valley's leading news program. with ducis rodgers meteorologist cecily tynan and jim gardner. >> ♪♪ >> friday night another well known politician steps into the race for philadelphia mayor and a firefighter charged with arson is now accused of raping more than a dozen children. but the big story on "action news" tonight is the approach of a nasty winter storm. penndot trucks were out late today on i-95 in bucks county and elsewhere putting down brine. and in newark, delaware, deldot was loading up the salt trucks. also in delaware consumers hit the stores like here at lowes in new castle loading up on salt for the driveway and sidewalks. this won't be a huge storm not at all but it will be a messy one with snow to be followed by rain in most areas.

"action news" reporter nora muchanic is live in bucks county tonight. cecily tynan and adam joseph have the latest from accuweather and cecilyetts start with you. >> jim, storm tracker 6 live double scan showing that the leading edge of the moisture is really just knocking on our door. washington, d.c. right now reporting a mixture of snow and rain. it looks like it's creeping into our region but this is virga. once that air column gets saturated the snow and the rain will begin and that's really just a matter of hours. a much wider view showing this is a pretty big storm system. the actual center of that low pressure is in southern georgia. it will reemerge off the coast of the carolinas and then move up to the north. it's fueled by some thunderstorms and the heaviest precipitation will stay off in the atlantic but we will get a pretty good thumping of generally rain in philadelphia, some snow in the northwest suburbs and you can see how this has a wide impact. we have winter weather advisories in effect for
