>> snow has fall and cross the region from city hall in center city philadelphia to montgomery county and beyond. the entire tri-state is waking up to winter weather and for some it's a picturesque scene. the action cam was at the terminal in upper darby overnight tonight and you can see the snow open the ground as buses pulled into the station for ride others to catch a ride. remember if you're out and about today, take it slow. the roads may be slick. >> this is the scene at springfield square shopping center springfield delaware county overnightch the plows were out working to clear out the parking lot. for anyive those early morning customers and hatboro montgomery county, few ventured

out in early morning hours and light, fluffy snow covered sidewalks, streets trees power lines near york road and moreland street. mobile six is out on broad street tlibl in north philadelphia getting a look at roadways across the area this morning trying to see exactly what people face as they head out. for the most part good conditions. the roads themselves seem clear at least major road do. as you head out of the neighborhood though take extra caution. this is live look on certificate center city sky6hd fog hanging over the city now. sky6hd looking live for us now at the airport. those conditions at the airport we saw a tweet from the airport a little while ago a 37 minute delay on flights coming in and out of airport. if you are flying out today check with the airport 1800 phl gate that's a number you can

call and check in with whatever your carrier is for today. let's take a look at conditions down the shore in atlantic city. you see camera jumping that's wind blowing camera around a little this morning. we saw mostly rain at the shore in this weather system. in our first day live look sky wilmington, delaware a. i mix of stuff coming down in wilmington from rain to sleet to snow and back and forth just like much of the area saw. we have live team coverage of the snow and rain from the nor east are meteorologist chris sowers is tracking remnants of the storm. john rawlins is in the suburbs taking a look at conditions. there let's begin first with chris and latest from accuweather. house it look out there. >> well it looks slushy out here this morning and i don't know it you can pick that up. we're seeing light freezing rain light drizzle falling. if we can pan the camera ra down we had a couple inches of snowfall during the overnight wheel most of us were sound asleep and we have that to you

grip. if you removed the snow we're picking up freezing rain. getting similar to what we saw last sunday with slick spots with icing starting to develop. with that said as we flip is over to stormtracker 6 double scan this will not be remotely close to what we saw last sunday. it's well advertised event. we saw snowfall first and icing over top of that. when the clouds get out and remove snow they'll be removing icing as well. here's stormtracker 6 double scan snow showers north and west and lehigh valley and poconos and south jersey and delaware looks like you're left with scattered showers and patchy areas of drizzle. we get into central portions of bucks and montgomery count question asen that's where we're picking up moderate freezing rain and sleet rights now. quakertown reporting moderate sleet and freezing rain and lansdowne same things and doylestown reporting light freezing rain and this is the concern over the next couple hours here. we'll see a thin glaze of ice is

develop over top of the snow. which will lay heavy open tree branches and anything that sun treated. sidewalks, parking lots, will become slick again expecting anywhere from 1 to .2" ice on top of snow falling from plan cast to allentown. road conditions, lehigh valley, snow covered, take it slow out there this morning. lots of slick spots. in city and surrounding northwestern suburbs back roads are snow covered. some main roads are wet with little slush mixed in and for south jersey and delaware looks like most roads are just wet at this point. stormtracker 6 double skap as we set in motion for you bulk is working its way out to sea. we're leftover now with a few scattered rain and snow showers. 1:00 35. couple rain showers, few wet snowflakes mixing in and 4:00 everything comes to end. 36, anticipating high of 37. things should -- this is not

>> and we saw shot of center city a short time ago government looks ominous sitting over the buildings. >> it's lower level cloud deck. that's improving. visibility down to a mile. we're slowly getting back up to 2, 3 and 4 miles. it's foggy. it's not as bad as it was a couple hours ago. there's view in old city continuing with the snow on the ground. we had officially an inch to inch and a half in philadelphia and north an west we picked up anywhere from 3 to 5" of snow and we're starting to see travel trouble spots if you will. winter weather add sciencery continues for areas highlightsed in lavender philadelphia county, lower bucks and montgomery county and delaware chester and lancaster county until:00 in the morning for mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain north and west from there and into the lehigh valley and poconos we still have winter storm warning in effect until 11:00 this morning. heaviest is gone. accumulating snow has fallen

from this point on. we're expecting leftover snow showers. still a lot of snow covered roads out there and even power out annuals being reported. here's stormtracker 6 double scan and one of the good signs that we're starting to see. temperatures quickly climbing above freezing. i put the numbers on here rights now. 35 in philadelphia northeast. 34 number for the airport in philadelphia. and 34 norristown. you have to go well north an west of city to pick up freezing rain and sleet which is indicated by blue colors here and you get doyle town 31 quairker town 30. we're seeing freezing precipitation because numbers are below 32. and what i'll do is highlight roads still being impacted from this frozen precipitation and again this is well advertised event and they treated roadways nicely so this shouldn't catch anybody off guard here if you're traveling along the roadways there are slick spots especially back roads.

over the next hour or so most of this should pull away and things will greatly begin to improve. we'll set into motion the bulk is long gone now and pushing to new england hartford, boston, reporting moderate to heavy snow. everybody south of that area getting intoel del-vally and lehigh valley and we have a few leftover rain and snow showers and a lot of dry patches even further south. so again bulk of this is gone. sleet wood 6" of snow. perkasie 5.5 brick township 2.7 and wynnewood an inch and a half. do 1.5 miles in allentown and we have icy patches out there. snow covered roads. especially back roadways. millville 33. trenton 33. here's future tracker 6. ideas for leftover rain and snow

showers and snow covered areas north and west and then from time to time you'll pick up rain shower or period of freezing rain north and west. maybe even drizzle. really that's about it. we get into late afternoon andle storm system works its way out and storm skims go partly cloudy tonight increasing clouds and then surprised or monday clipper system this is pattern changing clipper system and january temperatures again this will probably produce good 1 to 2" of snow in parts of area just in time unfortunately for monday morning commute. until 9:00 we're experting period of ice to develop in northwestern suburbs and brblings and freeze and oaf passes and sidewalks and trees and anything untreated is where we expect light glaze to develop and will give you an idea why we're talking if through quaeker town and toylz town northeast

painting since teenager when she wept blind in 40s didn't give up her love of visual arts she simply adapted. like many women of her generation carroll got married after ice and started having children. it was not until in her 30s she decided to go to art school and make a career of her life long passion. >> i graduated i was 39 years old and i got a junior high teaching job and that's when i found out that i was losing my eyesight. >> carroll had already known she was going deaf. after the diagnosis she struggled with painers block and couldn't pickp a paint brush. it took years of meditation and self hypnosis to overcome it. >> when you get something back you thought you lost it's twice as good. but by then i had only tunnel vision. still she painted. he work became part of exhibition of visually impaired artists and featured at the

museum of art in philadelphia which was a thrill. >> really big thrill. >> if her site con stipulated to fail she transitioned to speaking letter her hands be her guide. >> i knew i wanted to continue somehow and needed to be happy. >> she's working on her memoir and hopes to inspire others to keep going when life's challenges seem insurmountable. >> i get discouraged too working with my hands pulls me out of it. >> for more information

>> here's the lehigh valley. hanover, bethlehem, reporting light to moderate know. this is the area that picked ape good amount anywhere from 4 to 6". 2 looks like snow showers crossing over there. bethlehem reporting sleet pellets mixed in and little bit further south and east we go actually i skipped right over that. it would have showed you sleet and freezing raining reported in lower bucks county right now. there too they picked up good 3 to 5" of snow before the

changeover. lehigh valley, martins creek 7", forks township 7" bushkill 5.5" and schnecksville 4.7". everybody picked up 3 to 5" of snow and across the city we didn't see too much of anything at all. maybe coating and rain. icy concerns the next several hours. 4:00 in the morning to 9:00 in the morning a light thin glaze and anywhere from 1 to two tenths of an inch from lancaster to reading and pottstown into the lehigh valley and across northern portions of new jersey. now we're starting to see transition from snow to sleet and freezing rain. and everybody will go over to plain rain over the next several hours and from that point on we eliminate the icing threat. for tonight, periods of rain. could be wet snowflakes mixing in later this afternoon as cold air wraps back in as the storm

sxwrv icery roads are a concern. snow female cross most of the tri-state overnight and for some it's changed over into rain. mobile six is out on the roads giving a look at what the conditions look like for you if you have to travel right now. schuylkill westbound, here are getting on to the schuylkill westbound here you can see the interstates look clear. there's snow up on the sides and a little bit of slush on the actual interest states themselves. and be careful if you head out no matter how clear things look things can get dicey quickly if there's a patch of ice to be found. conditions at philadelphia international airport the airport saying there's average

of 37 minute delay because of fog that is in the area right now. we have heard reports that southwest specifically is seeing major delays. so if you fly out or come into -- pibing up somebody coming into philadelphia international check open the flights call that number 1-800-phl-gate, or check with the carrier themselves. and let's go down the shore and tie take a look at conditions in atlantic city. the fog there in atlantic city as well mostly a rain event for the jersey shore. and action cam now in horsham montgomery county overnight. two tractor-trailers got stuck along route 611 dmreer broadway while trying to drive up the snow covered highway there. roads in war mipster bucks county were covered in snow early this morning. here york road cars were having too much trouble getting by as snow continued come down. ment action cam was in center city 3:45 this morning as a light snow fell here 16 and jfk

a light dusting of snow covered roads city hall and ground was covered at the rizzo statue. we have live team coverage of the snow and rain from our nor'easter. meteorologist chris sowers is tracking remnants of that storm. "action news" reporter john rawlins is in the suburbs taking a look at conditions there. let's begin with chris with the latest from accuweather chris. >> eva good morning you to double scan technology taking a breather this morning as heaviest is now pushed north and east and pulling away from the delaware valley. we see a couple leftover rain showers across south jersey and delaware and couple sprits and sprinkles as well and mixed precipitation north and west. we'll sdom in there first. there's allentown bethlehem hanover. we're seeing light snow and sleet pellets mixed n you have to go to poconos where you start to see all of the snow. even here we're starting to pick up changeover and accumulating stuff is already pushed through. so we're not expecting any more accumulations from this point on. little further south and east getting closer to the city

there's quakertown right. there doylestown reporting light freezing drizzle which switches over to plain drizzle as we get to new jersey. there's trenton. i-95 route 130 new jersey energy turnpike again that's all that is left at this point as this nor easter continues to pull away. heavy rains are are gonna cross south jerz write and delaware and accumulating snow pulled away. we still have snow covered roads across the lehigh valley. mainly back roadways and main roads are wet and they've been treated and for city, northern western suburbs still back roads snow covered otherwise a lot of slushy spots out. there again the idea for the most part main roads wet and south jersey and delaware it will wet roadways we saw a coating across south jersey and delaware and quickly flipped over to rain. the next couple hours we have to deal with freezing rain from lancaster through the lehigh valley including reading allentown, easton, quakertown, pottstown, downingtown where we could see anywhere from one to two tenths of an inch that

it. not a lot of traffic at this point in time. overnight, well we can show you video from overnight. we had a solid snowfall in quakertown as well as points south here. we have views of 309 as we drove out here overnight. we have a solt id 4 to 6" of snow and series of changes sleet, rain, and then sleet and more slow and road conditions varied from poor to not so bad depending where you are going and here's folks we talked to a short time ago about road conditions now. >> not too good. roads are still trying to get cleared off. i would suggest staying in and letting road crews do their squob. we have to go up because we work at the mountain. >> but you're going skiing. >> not a bad thing to do in the snow. >> but you say if people were smart they should stay off the roads. >> yes let the road crews clear off the roads. >> it looked like it would stop and.

here in the intersection. for the most part conditions are well north and west. lehigh valley area we talked to penndot a short time ago. they told us they dropped the speeds on those major roads there a lot to 45 miles an hour now. >> which say smart plan. lehigh valley saw anywhere from 4 to 7" of snow and we're picking up thin ice on top of that. it's wise to lower the speed limit. live on ski for the most part now help from mother nature temperatures shot above freezing and we're starting to see melting with snow and ice that fell while most of us were sound asleep. in the meantime view of philadelphia international airport quiet. roadways wet with low ceilings and seeing delays. as far as falling precipitation that has come to end at least as of now. winter weather advisory continues for areas you see highlightsed in lavender until 8:00 this morning and another 15 20 minutes or so and that's snow, sleet and phrasing reen and i winter storm warning

issued in pink the heaviest is over. snow covered road and power outages and snow covered roads mainly secondary roads snow covered. few power outages and weight of snow is weighing heavily on some of the smaller free branch and power lines and things like that here's stromtracker double scan you can see how clear we are dover sitting at 36 and above freezing and philadelphia 34 and northeast 35. freezing line is right here where i'm drawing this line. all areas north of this line. lehigh valley, far northwestern suburbs, poconos temperatures below freezing so we're dealing with patchy ice and slick spots on some back roads. everybody south of that line temperatures shot up into the mid 30s and at this point now we're seeing mainly drizzle.

we'll set it in motion for you. nor'easter is a major issue for new england to albany and boston and left with dry patches patchy drizzle and freezing drizzle across the delaware and lehigh valleys and rain and showers pulling this afternoon. they'll be just that showers not a steady, soaking, driving rain. philadelphia 1.5 in allentown and 1.3 in poconos and trenton showing miles and millville 5 and 10 for dover and wildwood. temperatures wildwood 37, millville 33, philadelphia 34. trenton 33. gwynn they're below freezing well norm and west. that's why we're still dealing with headaches and icy travel trouble spots through here. future tracker shows you how things quiet down over the next several hours with leftover rain and snow showers in the average. it's 2:30. temperatures are well into mid 30s some areas upper 30 nothing

should be freezing, one all the roads are treated and we're getting help with the warmer temperatures. cold air rushes bag on in on backside and numbers drop off again. that at point the skies are starting to become clear but numbers are tanking. so watch for black ice in this area and overnight tonight and then first thing tomorrow morning. sunday, sunday is nice quiet day. we'll start with sunshine and increasing clouds in the afternoon and those clouds give way to clipper system that arrives unfortunately just in time for morning commute monday. this snow will over spread the area from west to east by 6:30 in the morning and yes, it will stick to everything that will be the light fluffy snow not heavy wet snow dealing with now. this will be easy to remove from the walks and streets. problem temperature staying below freezing than is pattern changer. once we get this through the numbers drop off. with temperatures below freezing there will be icy slick spots monday morning. as far as the ice we're dealing
