another storm is on the way than could make monday commute a bit of a mess. several inches are expected overnight tomorrow making for rough trip back to school and work on monday. saturday night i'm walter perez and the big story on "action news" is round two. temperatures are dropping tonight and all that slush on the roads now could make for dangerous commute tomorrow and all eyes are on a clipper system now moving our way. and it could bring several inches of snow with it tomorrow night. we have team coverage. "action news" reporter sken live on the schuylkill expressway to see how crews are using the roadways. we begin with meteorologist melissa magee tracking the system. >> hi, walter, we're tracking a slipper system that arrives tomorrow night. the bulk of that precipitation that will fall will be on monday. we'll go over the details with that. stormtracker 6 double scan radar showing a messy start to the weekend thanks to the nor'easter quickly moving off across coastal sections of maine heading to the maritime and temperatures are starting to

fall and will continue to do so for the rest of tonight. 36 in the city. 29 poconos. below freezing there. 34 lancaster and 2 above the freezing mark in reading and at the freezing mark in millville. 36. and trenton. these numbers will crash down under partly cloudy and mostly clear sky. talk about what we can expect during the overnight hours. drying continues and problem however will drop down to middle and upper 20s which means wet roads and slush quickly freezes over and that will lead to black ice. you definitely need to watch for that during the overnight hours and into the day on sunday. state light 6 and action radar showing the storm departing and on the heels is the clipper system. we'll widen out the picture and tracking the clipper system diving out of canada and pressing to northern plains and works its way east ward sunday night to monday. and with that comes another round of snowfall just in time for stalt of our workweek. coming up we'll take a closer look at future tracker 6 and

"action news" reporter sken live along the schuylkill with that part of the story. hey, kenneth. walter, road crews like the ones for penndot were busy overnight and expect to be busy tomorrow nights so they're resting up where before they hit the roads. meanwhile people say they're watching and waiting for the next blast of winter. >> concerns about plaque ice open the secondary and main roads moved into the night saturday with drivers taking precautions. >> i took 76. got off river road. river road looked sketchy but no problems. >> they're well salted and i was going down 202 with no issue and no slick spots or anything like that. >> transportation agencies say crews were on the road looking for slick spots. just a week ago a flash freeze sparked deadly pileup from 76 and blue route.

workers were checking bridges and overpasses after several inchess of snow covered the area friday night and saturday morning. >> you have to be careful when you drive especially if you drive suv. >> that changeover to rain washed away a good bit of snow in many areas and drivers were on alert. >> in town it's not so bad. they did a good job salting. i had somebody stop on me pretty quick and i slid a little bit. >> now on to the next one. penndot will decide sunday about number of trucks it will deploy for the inbound clipper that will affect monday tax. >> i work monday morning that will be tough getting work. hopefully it won't be too bad on the roads. >> with delaware and new jersey forecast todd get a few more inches than pennsylvania trucks

it happened before 4:00 this afternoon on 300 block roosevelt boulevard. neighbors explained of headaches. officials say the situation was under control in half an hour and still no word tonight on the source of those fumes. >> down in delaware police are searching for two thieves that robbed a bank yesterday afternoon wells fargo branch 8 0 0 block of philadelphia pike bellefonte investigators say two armed men heldp a bank and fled. one suspects was wearing a mask and there's no word if witnesses or surveillance got a good look at the others. >> some parents in bucks county didn't let snow and freezing conditions stop them from trying to give their kid a good education. some waited as long as 20 hours for spot at chatter school in bensalem. nora muchanic has the story. >> freezing, snowy hungry, wet. >> he was part of a group of parents that camped outside

outside during last week's oral snowstorm hoping to cure a part for their child in bensalem charter score. >> he made chicken soup the neighbor. >> parents are registering for 2015-16 school year for all grades including new high school. >> 42. >> the kindergarten has 125 spots open and school officials don't know yet exactly how many spots will be available in other grades. >> hardest would be to see to seem like better than public school. so i just want to give her an opportunity -- >> we get the chance for them to learn outside of the box. we don't do things normal memorization way. >> they're well behaved. so i wanted them to experience some of that. >> some parents waited 20 hours to get a good ticket number hoping it would get their kid a chance forgetting in. they say it's worth it. >> as a father i would do anything for my kid.

>> bomb threats were made against planes while in the air forcing officials to escortfieder jets. one was directed at delta flight saying bomb was on board and similar flight directed at southwest flight. norad dispatched two f 16s and we're happy to report the plane landed and passengers got off safely. >> they took us off the mraep and then gave us our on board luggage back in front of the terminal and we waitd with that said no bombs were found during the ensuing investigation. federal investigators are now trying to find the person behind the threats. >> members of terror group isis claimed a japanese hostage has been be headed. they threat end two unless receiving a 200 million ran some. a video shows one of the hostages holding a photo of

report. christopher tully is be loved teacher in warwick. his brother edward says he's made a difference in many students' lives. >> over the last twelve years he's made a huge impact open many kids who maybe had not believed in themselves. >> open tuesday january 6 he was in his vehicle with his parents. when he got out where city avenue meet lincoln drive in philadelphiach the father of three fled on foot and has not been seen since. tully is bipolar and on medication. >> personality changed so much we were figuring he needed to see a doctor and figure out if the treatment he was receiving was proper. my parents who were in the process of taking him to the clinic he panished and and got out of the car. >> the 40-year-old is described 5 toss 10", 18 0 pound immediate yam build. last seen wearing a black coat, jeepz and sneakers.

"channel 6 action news" >> okay time for a check of the accuweather forecast with meteorologist melissa magee and more snow coming our way. >> yeah, walter, two time frames to watch. first is sunday night to monday and monday night to tuesday. things get tricky as we go throughout the start of workweek. we'll talk about the details. stormtracker 6 double scan radar showing you it's dry and quiet across the delaware and lehigh valleys. after earlier today we had a nor'easter already pushing off to the north and east. we'll show you the picture outsidech the action cam was outside earlier tonight looking at street fair in center city and schuylkill river and we'll have the schuylkill brankz river as well and new boardwalk there. conditions are partly cloudy to mostly clear throughout the area. 39 with high temperature today in the city 1 degree shy of average. normal this time of year is 40. check out the record. the record set in 188 and record

high 69. >> 29 in the poconos and 32 millville. some spots are either at the freezing mark or couple degrees above freezing mark. it feels colder when you have fresh snow pack open the ground in the wake of this morning's nor'easter. wind chills upper 20s and black ice during the overnight hours. here's satellite 6 and action radar quickly rushing off north and east. areas south of philadelphia picked up about a trace of snow. city picked up an inch and higher terrain through the mountains picked up 9" of snowfall. well tracking a -- it clipper system driving out of canada it's in the northern plains and it will work east ward as early as tomorrow night and monday. future tracker 6 will time out the precipitation for you. throughout the day tomorrow, i think it will be mostly dry. 8:00 in the morning mostly sunny.

we stay dry across the area. sun, however will give way to increasing clouds and monday night the clouds will lower build and thick and cross much of the delaware and lehigh valley. and a lot of that precipitation looks to arrive after midnight. now the difference with this clipper system that's moving on through in comparison to our recent nor'easter is that the clipper system is going to be dealing well light and powdery snowfall across area. and the air will be cold. it will be quite dry. so the snow will stick quickly any comparison top wet heavy snow we were shoveling earl leally this morning. the problem snow falls throughout the day monday. what we're calling for early call from accuweather with expected snowfall 3 to 6 across south jersey and delaware. looks like band of heavy snow sets up south of the city. philadelphia probably close to 3" of snow. and 1 to 3" of snow north an west of philadelphia. as we go thoughts the day however, monday and more spvkly

monday night to tuesday that's the other time period. that we have to watch here because we're being froming a storm system that twoons intensify just off shore. looks to be heavy snowfall cross coastal sections of new england and the question is some of that moisture pushes back west ward across the area monday nights and into tuesday. we're watching coast and key factors where that area of low pressure develops offshore an strength of storm and heaviest setup across coastal new jersey and north and east of philadelphia. that's something we have to fine tune. i will say month elz are coming into bet area graements with the storm system and heaviest booking to be offshore. >> sun and clouds tomorrow high temperature 4. most of the day is dry. after midnight into monday we're tracking periods of snow. high of 29 degrees. tuesday watching the coast high of 28 and on wednesday sunny and cold high of 30. upper 30s as we get to thursday and friday walter but we'll be busy this week tracking that snow especially for sglon okay
