student. >> the philadelphia archdiocese is kicking off catholic schools week. >> but first the largest snowstorm of the winter season is on the way. the folks in the delaware and lehigh valleys are getting ready. >> we have team coverage of the storm, plus chris sowers is tracking the latest forecast models and john rawlins is live at a hardware store in montgomery county. let's go to chris with the latest from accuweather. >> reporter: good afternoon nydia, some of the newest information is coming in, the models are all over the place. one thing they show the snow coming in after midnight tonight with the clipper. it's what's going on with the second round of the storm. it's a gorgeous afternoon cloud cover moving in, temperatures wise we can handle this. 47 in wilmington, dover 48. millville, 52. trenton, cooler, 40. allentown, 39. we have colder air up to the north across the pa, new york

state line. the clipper as it charges east will draw the colder air back into the delaware and lehigh valleys. don't think because it's milder out there right now we won't get snow. here's the leading edge of the clipper pushing into pittsburgh and western pennsylvania. most of the moisture with the system should arrive after midnight tonight in the form of snow. in the meantime for today, for the remainder. afternoon, it will be milder, sunshine fading behind clouds, temperatures 43 degrees. the winter storm watch goes in effect monday night into tuesday for all areas shaded in blue, we'll have a blizzard watch in effect for ocean and monmouth county for heavy wet snow and strong gusty winds low visibility. i'll talk about and show you the accumulation and the timing when i come with the full seven-day forecast in just a bit. >> let's go to john rawlins

today for a young mother from smyrna delaware, dozens joined the search for teesh i can't hamill -- teesh i -- -- kiesha hamilton went missing on january 11. her children, 4 months and 4 years old were found unharmed with cortes hamilton in indiana the next day. kiesha's sister talked about a growing fear of her husband. >> she told me if anything happened to her to check into cortes. she was afraid and acting very strange the night before. >> so far police have charged cortes hamilton with child endangerment and assault. new at noon, new castle county police have charged an 18-year-old man with burglary and related offenses a resident of overview apartments reported

a man going through the neighbor's house. when officers arrived they found chase on the front yard. chase had a laptop and jewelry and other items from the house. he has been arraigned and is in jail. >> a police officer is recovering in the hospital after being hit by an alleged drunk driver. this happened at 2:00 a.m. at 52nd and market. the officer was marked when a 39-year-old woman plowed into the back of the cruiser. the officer is in stable condition, the woman was arrested facing dui. islamic extremists are threatening the largest city in northern nigeria. the residents of city of 1 million people are at grave risk. meanwhile, president obama has voiced outrage of the apparent beheading of the japanese hostage

that's what's out there monday night into tuesday. the philadelphia center city skyline, we have two systems we are watching. the first one arrives tonight in time for the morning commute. the second one is monday night into tuesday. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing we have a little bit of patchy drizzle showing up for the far western suburbs coatsville, lancaster county, seeing low-level clouds and patchy drizzle. we're expecting that to fizzle away and we'll see mostly cloudy skies. 44 degrees, dewpoint # -- 41. winds out of the west/southwest 14 miles per hour. millville, 53 degrees, dover 48. philadelphia, 44. wildwood 45. colder north and west, 38 degrees in reading.

allentown, 39 with a healthy snow pack out there. this is the leading edges right in through here, of the clipper system pushing into the area. the better view is on the water vapor imagery, it will dive east across the ohio and tennessee valleys and hit the atlantic. that's when we're expecting the bom ogenesis to develop. does it develop off the coast or farther to the north. if it is off the coast of new england that's a miss for us. that's why the confidence leaves are so low with the approaching storm. there's the light snow overspreading the area west to east. it will be around during the morning commute. there will be snow-covered back roads, icy patches. make sure you exercise caution. monday afternoon into monday evening we expect the heavier bands to develop or the potential is there for heavier

bands to develop. that's when we could see snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour. coastal ocean and monmouth counties, the potential is there there for 40-plus miles per hour. this area shaded in pink, lancaster, reading allentown western portions of south jersey. probably route 40 in south jersey, from that point south it's more like one to two. the morning commute will be slow light to moderate snow will fall. midday it's a light snow. by the evening commute, the big question will be will the second round get going, if the answer is yes then there will be heavier snow bands developing east of the i-95 corridor and yes if this storm starts to intensify and intensifies close to the coast. these are the snowfall totals we'll be looking at with round number two possible snow.

round number one there's not too many disagreements in the models with that one. allow yourself to get everything done today in case the models are on to something with this. 6 to 10 in philadelphia. and 10-plus across portions of new jersey. one of the models only has 4-point #. some over a foot. rpm is back to 2. until all these models come into agreement there's going to be a lot of uncertainty with the developing storm. 43 degrees millville, 46. cape make up, 450. allentown, 38. it's a milder day increasing clouds. we have the potential of a major winter storm monday into tuesday, 26 degrees is the
