>> surprised night here's what's happening on action any 11:30 a local church forced to shut down a program for the needy after thieves break in and steal thousand of feet of copper plumbing. >> storm predicted for us and new york said it could be worst blizzard in the big apple. preparations underway. >> and tonight preparing for coming blizzard made long day for customers and employees at whole bunch of supermarket. how long these folks had to waits to get into a trader joes. but first our area. preparations are well underway for a major symptom of our own. road cues getting ready and shopper spent the day rating supermarket shelves. >> and questions here how much are we getting and when does it

arrive. meteorologist melissa magee is at the big board with the latest and new numbers coming in melissa. >> sarah walter, we'll take a closer look at numbers in a moment. you notice the beginning of precipitation starting to move on in. stormtracker 6 live doubling scan radar showing you light showers for philadelphia and areas north and west. this is because of the clipper system moving on in. keep in mind temperatures tonight are below freezing and you want to watch out for slick spots especially if out and about. we're widen out the picture. this is the area of low pressure tracking east as we go throughout the day tomorrow. so lights snowfall on the way on monday. then monday night we'll watch the storm system transfer its energy off the coast and it will blossom and intensify and work its way north and east as we go to monday night and into tuesday. with that moisture said we have winter weather alerts to tell you about. it's really the winter storm warning for philadelphia, most of new jersey, blizzard warning in effect just for ocean county for our region. as you move north and east that's where you will find brunt of storm moving on in.

poconos to lancaster. keingt chester county, wilmington. dover. we're underneath a winter weather watch as we go into again monday night and into tuesday. so here's what to expect throughout the day tomorrow. light snow showers around. minor accumulations and winds pick up in the evening hours and at that point heavier snowfall develops with the storm system moving offshore and working its way east ward. so probability in what we're calling for there's a very good likelihood we could find moderate 4 to 8" and it it pushes east if it wraps west ward and pushes closer to our area we could see a heavy not moderate of 8 to 12" we have updated numbers to show you in the forecast, walter. >> thank you melissa. road crews are busy today preparing for thousands of mile of highway with the storm. for bep dot and other agencies

today before turning the gun on himself he entered west 23, 2:45 this afternoon argued with supervisor and opened fire. shoppers dropped everything as they scrambled for safety. some ran out the front door and some store employees helped others. >> some employees said follow us, follow us. they gathered us and took us out a back exit. >> employees say the supervisor was young african immigrant that recently married ands with well liked. no word on possible motive on this case. >> police there trenton, new jersey are investigating a shooting that unfoldeded this evening. 6:30, investigators say a 23-year-old woman was shot inside a home near the intersection of wrestling and liberty excrete and she was rushed to capitol medical health center and no word on conditions or arrests made. a church in bridesburg was targeted overnight by copper thieves. they did a lot of damage that forced church officials to shut

clipper system moving on throw. expect light snow showers to continue as we get into the rest of tonight and even early tomorrow morning. outside 35 in the city and 40 millville and 41 in wildwood and 20 poconos and 30 allentown and 31 lancaster and 31 in trenton. here's satellite 6 and action radar precipitation moving out thanks to the clipper system moving on through. we have a clipper system moving east ward throughout the day tomorrow and transfersen injury to off the coast and works east ward and intensifies at that moment. as i was saying this clipper system moves to the west and works its way east ward and intensifies. there's a short window for this storm system to blossom whereas ft. storm system were south of us and had a big chance grow there would be a little more certainty with the forecast that we're talking about here. so here's what's going on. we have a clipper that turns costsal as we go throughout the day. 7:00 in the morning yes light snow showers around. this area of low pressure will

transfer moisture to this off the coast and works its way east ward. late monday night to tuesday you see snow blossom as cross the areas and in new york city and areas in southern new england with clipper system that will turn into nor'easter. at that point with storm system getting its heaviest into monday night wind pick up as well. winds gulingting in philadelphia, 8:00 tomorrow night, 31 miles an hour and 36 miles an hour wind gusts to millville and as we go throughout the day at that time you'll have a coastal flood watch as well. with winds picking up on backside of storm there's a moderate tidal flooding concern at the time of high tide from sea side heights to areas in delaware. possible snowfall and what we're calling for with storm system working its way up the coast there's a sharp cutoff areas west 4 to 8" of know reading lancaster to areas in western chester all the way down to kept and newcastle county as well. poconos, allentown philadelphia millville

wildwood, 8 to 12" and initially on the air earlier today we had 12 to 18" for atlantic city really across the areas in new jersey. the latest model trends we seen two models come in and these models are trending and the storm system is further east so. with that said you still will have precipitation with that wrap around moisture. but heaviest looks to develop and deepen far to the east. and we don't get in on that significant snowfall. still snow. not significant. 12 to 18 for new york city up north and east. 8 to 12 trenton and lakehurst and 14" most of the viewing area for philadelphia on west. confidence level with the storm system is below average. we're lease than 24 hours out with this thing and a lot of model uncertainty. it may deepen too late for the region to pick up on big heavy snow as it tracks further east. we'll keep you forecasted. periods of snow tomorrow high of
