12th despite there was two years left in his term. the democrat lost the gubernatorial primary to tom wolf and he will appoint a new treasurer to finish out the two years of his term. a doctor and his receptionist are accused of running a pill mill out of their offices in philadelphia and levittown, sara bloomquist has the details. >> reporter: that is right dr. william o'brien iii was arrested this morning and the fbi also picked up his receptionist. both appeared in federal court and they are accused of operating a pill mill, selling prescriptions of large quantities of highly addictive drugs. brian williams iii a doctor and his receptionist are accused of

selling prescriptions out of two medical offices, the first of 98 hundred block in northeast philadelphia the second on the unit block of rolling lane in levittown. according to the federal indictment on multiple occasions last year, dr. o'brien sold undercover fbi agents prescriptions for dangerous, addictive drugs $200 bought a prescription pour a large amount of oxycodone or xanex. >> we see physicians writing prescriptions for these dangerous and addicting drugs. they right them in exchange for cash. >> they allege that dr. o'brien falsified medical records to make it seem like they received examinations and medical treatment when in fact they did not. >> they screened customers and took what the pair referred to

as co-pays for the prescriptions. and dr. brian is accused of offering sexual favors tore prescriptions. and made the offer to a female fbi agent. >> she posed as a prescription drug seeker and o'brien told her he would give her an increased quantity of prescription if she would perform oral sex on him. >> the federal government estimates dr. o'brien took in close to $2 million in one year alone, operating this cash only operation and he told the judge today that he couldn't afford an attorney the judge had a hard time believing that and he has to get an attorney pending a hearing next week. i'm sara bloomquist, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you sara. eric frein pleaded not guilty today appearing by video from the pike county jail, the accused cop killer was arraigned

by a judge in milford. frein is charged with first degree murder and terrorism and related charges for the ambush that killed corporal brian dixon outside of police barracks. prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. two people are dead after a fire swept through a south philadelphia home, view erer video shows the flames broke out they started on the first floor and spread to the second before the firefighters were able to get the fire under control. the victims were both in their 60s, one police officer that tried to rescue the couple suffered burns. president obama is the featured speaker at society hill. let go live to philadelphia international airport where air force one is expected to land any minute. obama is addressing democratic

and delaware is virga evaporating before it reaches the ground and we have a band of snow reaching the ground in parts of lancaster and reading is reporting some light flurries and it's a little more intense near coatesville crossing route 10 and route 30 this is the only band moving through tonight, once it moves in it moves out quickly, it leaves some minor accumulations. the accuweather highlights shows you it's a nuisance snow, south jersey and central and southern delaware probably nothing at all. i-95 corridor a dusting and north of there 1 to 2 inches of snow. behind that tomorrow an arctic blast is arriving. woe reach our high 37 at noon and then temperatures plunging

by the evening, 8:00, 22 degrees and midnight 17 degrees, a 20 degree drop in the matter of 12 hours and the windchills are dropping down below zero. we have some cold air on the way right now philadelphia is 34 degrees and our high for the day 7 degrees below average and allentown 30 and millville 33 and trenton 31 and wilmington 33 degrees, satellite 6 along with action radar showing the clouds roll in early and here is the band of snow moving through and it's out of here around midnight and tomorrow things get cold. at 8:00 things move into philadelphia and it evaporates pretty much and a lot of clouds and perhaps scattered snow showers in the northern suburbs, that is where the arctic front is and that drops the temperatures on friday and saturday. then we get to sunday and monday, here are the ingredients, the northern piece of energy and a southern piece, these will combine, but the big question is where does it head.

if the low pressure tracks close to us we look at the potential for a major storm with significant accumulation, however cold air is very dense and heavy and some of the models are trending the track farther to the south showing the cold air suppressing the storm and if that happens we'll just be brushed with light snow, i'll have an update on "action news" tonight at 11:00. tonight light snow and cloudy and cold, 26 to 32 and the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, the high of 38 degrees we reach that around lunch time and the temperatures crash. and saturday 28 degrees is the high and windchills in the low teens and sunday the snow moves in between 5:00 and 7:00 in the evening and during the super bowl parties 33 degrees the high on sunday and the snow is wrapping up at lunch time on monday, 28 degrees, it gets cold on tuesday, 26 and temperatures stuck in the 30s on wednesday and thursday and i will have an
