transportation agencies are thinking ahead, brining road getting ready. it is friday night and the big story on "action news" tonight is the latest information from accu weather. we have tracking snow and rain, for super bowl sunday night, and we've got a little will taste late today with squalls around the tri-state area double scan radar is on the the case as is meteorologist cecily tynan. cecily, what can you determine two days out. >> at 6:00 i would say the storm system is 2,000 miles away. a lot can happen. the it depend on track and track is trending to the north. that will change the precipitation type, for a good portion of our viewing area. storm tracker six live double scan showing that low pressure is moving into new mexico. it is beginning to the georgia's lieutenant of moisture. this will be a big storm system. as it moves through plane states it will get energized by up are level energy and it will track toward our viewing area however, i want to point out that this track is beginning to move up to north.

in wilmington came to a violent end tonight. mercedes suv that was suspect to have been stolen crash in the parked car. after a brief pursuit, rolling on to its side at 34th near monroe. the the driver was trapped for a time. about 8:00 o'clock before being rushed to christiana a hospital. it had been a stunning political crash and burn. former pennsylvania treasurer rob mccord acknowledge today that he broke the the law while trying to raise, campaign money for his gubernatorial campaign and issued a video apology. "action news" reporter dann cuellar is live in the the satellite center. dann, you talked to mccord last night. did he give you any indication that he would say this today. >> reporter: no, jim he was very cordal, apologetic and could not say anything bit. but less than 24 hours later in the videotaped statement he admits that he made veil threats to potential donors who did not contribute to his democratic campaign for governor. >> the the mistake in fault here is mine and mine alone.

i owe an apology to the people of pennsylvania. >> reporter: it all began to unravel for state treasurer rob mccord when federal got wind of him making threats while soliciting campaign donations. when we caught up with mccord outside his home last night he said he could not talk about it but would be doing so soon. the less than 24 hours later the the montgomery county democrat admitted to breaking the the law that he crossed the line when he tried to strong arm two contributors hoping to do business with the commonwealth by making a veiled threat. >> to remain them i could make things difficult for them. i essentially said potential contributors should not risk making a enemy of the state treasurer. clearly, that was wrong of me. >> reporter: mccord who served as treasurer since 2008 add made an unsuccessful bid to win the democratic nomination for governor last year. his lawyers say during that failed campaign, he over stepped the line of legitimate political fund raising. >> i know my improper efforts to raise campaign contributions will forever be a stain on my record.

wilmington parking garage today. the alleged victim turnout to be an armed federal agent with home land security. he pulled his service weapon and fired a single shot at the the suspect who was not hit but was quickly arrested by wilmington police. however, tonight that three two-year old suspect has been releasedded, without charges. investigators say that his actions did not rise to an attempted carjacking and now they want to figure out why the agent fired his gun. for the second day in a row a local doctor and his receptionist has been charged with illegally selling prescriptions for painkillers. this time the suspects are 74 year-old steven friedman and 78 year old receptionist margaret mcgowan. she work out of an office in havertown, on the 800 block of west chester pike. surprising investigators, however, the delaware county district attorney says that the pair were not profiting just knowingly writing illegal scripts to satisfy peoples

addictions. police in bucks and montgomery counties are trying to track down a serial home burglar who likes to do his work in the daytime. "action news" reporter kenneth moton has that story. >> reporter: in this bucks county community of large properties and houses set far off the roadway, hilltown township police say they have had a busy burglar taking advantage of this rural area. >> not a very good person, they need to change their ways. >> reporter: investigators say from late last year until now they believe the same thief or thieves has hit at least ten homes on road like welcome house, broad and fair hill. the crook broke in through back doors and used a bed spread pillowcase or dresser drawer to steel valuables mostly jewelry. just thursday police say a possible suspect a 40 to 50 year-old man in the beige honda passenger van back in the driveway, when the owner answered the door he claimed he was lost. two hours later and a mile away another burglary was reported. >> he does go up under a fake,
