millville, 15. get a load of these numbers. feels likes 8 below in reading. 6 below in the poconos. 3 below in allentown. veer owe in philadelphia. -- zero in philadelphia. and 4 below in wilmington. we're quickly approaching dangerous levels. a windchill advisory is in effect for the poconos where windchills could be 15 below over the next couple of hours. we have sunshine out here today but it will do little to warm us up. the normal high for this time of year is 43 degrees. if we're lucking we're topping out at 26. 17 degrees at the a.m., 11:00 a.m. 20 degrees, 1:00 p.m., 23 and the high is 26 degrees. windchills feeling like the teens. we have winter storm watch in

block of white horse pike in audubon, camden county. the victim was pronounced at the scene. there was no word on a motive or what sparked the shooting. police in montgomery county are rack looking for a serial burglar that likes to break into houses in the daytime. >> reporter: hill town township police say they have a busy burglar taking advantage of the rural area. >> not a good person. they need to change their ways. >> reporter: investigators say from late last year until now they believe the same thief or thieves have hit at least ten homes on roads like welcome house and broad and fairhill. the crook broke into the back doors and used a bed spread, pillow case or dresser drawer to steal valuables. a possible suspect a 40 to

50-year-old man in a beige passenger van backed into a driveway. when the other than answered the door he claimed he was lost. two hours later and two miles away, another burglar was reported. >> if nobody responds he goes to the back door using a pry bar. >> reporter: police said this burglar struck homes in buckingham plumstead and solbury and communities in montgomery county. he is possibly responsible for 20 burglaries in the past 6 months. hill town township police say they linked the burglaries together weeks ago and decided not to alert the public until now. we asked why. >> it seems they are not going away. for some reason hill town seems to be the epi center right now. >> reporter: that means the serial burglars could live here. >> lock your doors like you

should do, watch out for yourself and keep an eye on the neighborhood. >> reporter: reporting in hill town township, kenneth moten channel 6 "action news." >> prosecutors are seeking the death pent against one of the men accused of killing a lancaster county elementary school teacher. thomas moore is accused of killing nicole mathison. his lawyer said his client isn't responsible for her death. britain marp college is -- bryn mawr college is parking controversy over program over wait lost program. people were chosen for having a higher than average body mass index. some called it unethical or an invasion of privacy. the school said this is the third time the program was

12 in trenton. 15 in millville. 14 in wilmington. and then you factor in the winds it feels 4 below in reading an lancaster. 2 in trenton. we'll see a lot of sunshine out there today as a small little area of high pressure runs across the mid atlantic states to provide us with sun from start to finish. the clouds increase after 4:00, 5:00 a.m. as this system gets better organized and marchs east. you get into the west, you will see anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of rain. temperatures are in the 50s and 60s and in the low 70s across texas. in the mid atlantic and the northeast it's cold. the cold will hold its ground. the milder air works its way in as the storm gets cranking. future tracker 6 later today

there's a thicker area of cold air, that means you'll stay snow longer. looks like a pretty good snow event for the lehigh valley as we take the forecast models and plot the idea out on the map. heavy snows for the lehigh valley and the poconos to the tune of 6 to 12 inches. 3 to 6 for the northwestern suburbs. the 3-inch line is north of philadelphia. philadelphia, 1 to 3 and western portions of south jersey and delaware. you get into cumberland and atlantic and cape may county it's a rain event. from 4:00 p.m. sunday afternoon light snow winter mix develops, sunday night through 9:00 a.m. that's when the heaviest falls it will end around lunchtime or shortly after and end in the form. snow showers. forecast for today blustery and

nearly a dozen train cars jumped the tracks in south philadelphia. crews are working to get the cars upright. battling the flames and bitter cold, firefighters in philadelphia, brave the let's as they douse a higher -- brave the elements, as they douse a house fire overnights. let's go outside meteorologist chris sowers it's so cold out there today. >> reporter: they told me i have a minute to do this outside hit a minute is not that long, but when it's this cold, it's a long time. it's blustery and cold this morning. let's get a load of the numbers right now. temperatures wise most areas in the teens. lancaster, # -- 11. millville, 15. the poconos 2 degrees above zero. now, when you factor in the winds it feels like 6 below in the poconos. 8 below in reading, 2 below in trenton and 4 below in lancaster and wilmington.

no cause on what caused the derailment. firefighters battle freezing temperatures while working to put out a fire. the action cam was on the scene in germantown after midnight. the fire crews were met with fire shooting from the upper floors of the vacant home on seymour street. firefighters were forced to spread salt to keep anyone from falling. nobody was hurt, but an adjoining home was damaged in the fire. no word on what sparked the blaze. pennsylvania treasure rob mccord has admitted to breaking the law while trying to raise campaign money for his gubernatorial campaign. less than 24 hours after it was revealed he was under federal investigation. dann cuellar has details on the video taped admission. >> i owe an apology to to the people of pennsylvania.

>> reporter: it began to unravel when the feds got wind of him making veiled threats for campaign donations. we caught up with him outside his home, he said he could not talk about it, but he would. he crossed line when he strong armed two potential contributors. >> to remind them i could make things difficult for them. i said the potential contributors should not risk making an enemy of the state treasurer. clearly that was wrong. >> reporter: mccord made an unsuccessful bid to win the democratic nomination for governor. during that failed campaign he overstepped the line of legitimate fundraising. >> i know my improper efforts to raise campaign contributions will be forever a stain on my record. i deeply regret my actions and

apologize for any embarrassment i caused anyone. >> reporter: he originally was going to resign on february 12 but now that word got out. >> i'm deeply concerned that my continuation in office even for a day might interfere with the operation of the office of the treasurer. i'm now resigning effective immediately. i'm dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> governor tom wolf responded to mccord's admission saying this is a sad day for the commonwealth and rob mccord's family. it leads to erosion of the public trust and simply unacceptable unquote. he said he will move quickly to nominate a replacement. there will be no charges filed after an attempted carjacking. it happened yesterday morning. police say originally the suspect tried to steal a car from a homeland security agency. that agent fired a single shot

from his governments-issued gun but didn't hit the man. the suspect was arrested, but authorities say his actions didn't warrant charges. immigration and customs enforce him is handling the investigation into the agent's action. a five month long investigation ends with a doctor's arrest and his receptionist in montgomery county. authorities say the duo wasn't doing it for profit, when mcgowen was hospitalized, friedman would have closed his office and wrote prescriptions. >> he never sees our undercover detective he takes place the scripts to the door. >> investigators don't know how long they were writing illegal prescriptions but they have two dozen cases showing patients getting pain killers with no examination. as the measels spread so

sunday night. the snow gets heavier monday morning. this is coming off the front range of the rockies, this is the huge storm the center is way back here towards las vegas. this will shift east over the next 48 hours. the super bowl starting around 6:30. light snow is breaking out about an hour past that. it will pick up in intensity north and west, by the midnight hour we get into monday morning. look at the snow in the city points north and west. it's coming down heavy at times. south of there it's rain, heavy at times. for south jersey and delaware. as we advance this thing through the rain/snow line shifts to the north. this is not the only model that's suggesting that. there are several forecast models that lift the rain/snow line into the lehigh valley or knocking on the door of the lehigh valley. for now we'll see the lehigh valley is all snow, same thing

for the poconos. this area in blue includes lancaster, most of the immediate surrounding suburbs philadelphia, trenton and portions of central new jersey a mixture, maybe starting out at snow and changing to a wintry mix and rain. this green shade south jersey and delaware looks like a rain event. 3 to 6 for the northwestern suburbs, the 3-inch line is north of philadelphia. that's where we'll place it right now. 1 to 3 across western portions of gloucester and salem counties. it should start anywhere from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. sunday west to east, light snow a wintry mix developing. heaviest occurs while we're sound asleep. monday lunchtime that's when everything ends. colder air wraps back in and ends as snow showers. sunday night is not technically a rush hour, but there will be
