that could leave with us a dose of dangerous conditions, come monday morning. saturday night i'm walter perez and the big story on "action news" is the approach of the winter storm that could make the the monday morning commute a real mess. get ready for snow rain even ice, depending on where you are but first it is the bitter coal. we have team coverage tonight, "action news" reporter kenneth moton is live on the steps of the art museum with a look at how folks are coping with the arctic blast. but we will begin with meteorologist melissa magee with the latest on what we can expect starting tomorrow melissa. >> yeah walter, we have a the lot of cold air in place but there will be warmer air aloft working its way in the region sunday night into monday and that means we have a mixed bag of precipitation depending where you are with our latest winter storm. wind chills outside tonight you could feel the chill. it feels like 12 degrees in philadelphia feels like 16 in allentown. 12 degrees current wind chills in the poconos and 15 in dover. here are changes for the second half of the weekend. winter weather alerts posted.

you will notice that activity and a alerts are north and west of philadelphia and north and west of the 95 corridor. an advisory for lancaster county, watch for western chester, northern bucks and montgomery and we have a warning for poconos down to northampton, lehigh and berks counties as we are tracking snow and milk precipitation. here's why on, storm tracker six live double scan radar 3-d. the area of low pressure coming from the southern plains and you can see rain to the south and we've got some snow to the north where we have colder air at the surface. this storm system will be working its way eastward as we get into sunday night and into monday. so there will be a large part of the snow over areas of the midwest, great lakes and up through new england but the hardest hit locations as far as the the snow is concern, north of i78. so back here at home the kind of precipitation you see depend on your location. for philadelphia, i think you'll find some snow on the outset but this storm system will be had mainly rain and points to the south and east. snow, ice and rain for

"action news" will be on the air bright and early well, not sobriety, but early monday morning to get you started in the morning. join david, tam, matt, karen starting at 4:00 a.m., on monday. so, we have developing news from delaware where a pedestrian was struck and killed, on i-95 in delaware tonight. the accident happened in the southbound lanes, near delaware avenue in wilmington at around 9:10 tonight. state investigators are asking drivers to avoid the area. southbound traffic is currently being diverted on to exit 7b as police investigate the the scene. police in burlington county are investigating a double homicide inn identify a home in mount holly. just after 9:00 o'clock this morning a woman discovered the victim's inside a house on the 200 block of washington street. investigators say, a man and a woman there were pronounced dead at the scene. neighbors in the quiet community say that they are shaken. >> i never would have thought that anyone would have been killed around here especially

homicide. this is a quiet neighborhood. i don't under stan. >> police are not saying how the victims were killed, no arrests have been made just yet. a man from camden county is charged with killing his roommate inside of their apartment in audubon. up investigators say 50 year-old william clark called 911 just before 3:00a m to tell police he had just shot his roommate in the head. investigators rush to the scene and found 51 year-old steven johnson dead inside the home on the 400 block of south white horse pike. clark has been since arrested. he told police that the shooting was a end result of the argument they had been getting into it. daughter of the late whitney houston is hospitalized tonight after being discover face down in a bat continue inside of her home in georgia. twenty-one year-old bobby cristina brown was found this morning by her husband and a friend. she was given cpr until rescuers a arrived. reports say that she has been placed in a medically induced comb because her brain was

health official as cross the country are increasingly concerned about the spread of measles. there are 48 cases diagnosis, and 14 states, over the past month alone. the latest case is a college kid, who boarded an amtrak train at new york's penn station. officials say tens of thousands of people may have been exposed to this highly

storm watches up, northwest of that 95 corridor, winter storm warnings up for berks, lehigh northampton counties and advisory for lancaster county. currently no winter storm warnings or watches for philadelphia and points to the south. do not get out of the teens today. you felt that arctic chill. high temperature in philadelphia 29 degrees. 12 degrees shy of average. normal for us this time of the year is 41. outside tonight it is 22 in philadelphia. twenty in trenton. numbers a along the i-95 corridor feeling like wind chills in the teens. 10 degrees in the poconos. sixteen in allentown. currently in wildwood coming in at 28. here's the satellite six with action radar. we have a partly cloudy sky from new england across mid-atlantic region but cloud are building and thickening across the the ohio valley. we will widen out the picture here and this is that storm system we are tracking to the north of the panhandle of texas. you can see rain line from wichita and points to the south and snow to the north. there will be a large area of snow building up across the

northern plains and right through great lakes. initially the storm system will dip just to the south of philadelphia which would mean more of the snow threat for more locations a across the region. now this storm system looks to ride up the north and which means storm system is a stronger storm as you have colder air at the the surface and warmer air aloft which means we have more mixed bag of precipitation in a tight gradient as far as that snowfall is concern. it is snowfall tomorrow night into monday. for philadelphia i think at the on set you will fine some snowfall but then the storm system really changes over to rain for philadelphia. the it is mostly rain for areas south and east. for the immediate northwestern, suburbs you can find three to 6 inches of snow for doylestown, west ward into kutztown and reading. allentown is right the on the 6-inch line of snowfall and points to the north could find a six plus inches. it is really along that pennsylvania turnpike and areas to the north where you will find that best bet of snowfall. there will be a transition from snow, to ice monday
