chris sowers has all the details from accuweather. >> the search is on for theives who bust into a northeast philadelphia town home overnight and police say the bandits may have picked the home after reading the post on social media from one of the victims. >> a teenager is behind bars for shooting three people at a pittsburgh area mall. 50 degrees right. >> reporter: some areas today in the mid 50s by tuesday morning areas to the north may have snow on the ground. the farther south you are the warmer it will be today. the farther north you live, the possibility of freezing sleet and rain tomorrow. in the meantime there's the view in cape may. we have the high, thin clouds up above. which kept the temperatures fairly mild during the overnight hours, that will help us out overnight tonight and tomorrow morning. everybody is above freezing except for areas north and west, reading and allentown sitting at the freezing mark of 32.

investigators say one of the victims had recently bragged on facebook that he had inherited some expensive jewelry. in the tacony section police are search e searching for the gunman in a robbery of a man. it happened on the 6600 block of edmund street. the man was robbed as he got out of his car. the gunman took off on foot with cash. >> in delaware county, police are looking for two armed robber he is who held up the china king restaurant. police were called after two men armed with guns entered the restaurant. they robbed the place and took a tip jar. nobody was hurt during the robbery. police in trenton are searching for suspects in a deadly shooting at an apartment overnight. it happened on the 900 block of

riverside drive at the brookville commons. a man was shot several times. he was rushed to the hospital where he later died from his wounds. >> a teenager is in police custody following a shooting inside a large shopping mall near pittsburgh. police arrested the teen at 3:15. charged with shooting inside amacy's store in monroeville. three people were shot. >> one of the three people shot was a targeted individual. it's not a random. we have evidence that leads to that. the intended target and another man are in critical condition. a woman is in stable condition. the teenage suspect is being held at allegheny county jail he'll be charged as an adult. >> there's no confirmation from a pennsylvania health department that a teenage boy in montgomery county has contracted measles. police have not said where he

lives. montgomery county health officials say the teen is being isolated at his home. specimens have been delivered to the health department. >> a new standardize test students will take next month. supporters say it's better than previous tests because it tries to gauge critical thinking bill. lawmakers are considering a bill that will let's students opt out of testing. dewey beach has reached an agreement with park mobile it allows to pay for parking with park mobile.

rehoboth beach and louis use the parking service. park mobile charges an additional 50 cent fee for each transaction. now to an "action news" exclusive, firefighters came to the rescue when a dock fell into a reservoir in wilmington. the water temperature was well below freezing. annie mccormick was there for the dramatic rescue. >> reporter: the frantic 98 # call came from this dog answer other than saturday morning after she fell through the ice at the wilmington reservoir. >> she was yelping and crying. she was trying to get herself out, every time she would climb on the ice it would break away and slip back in. >> enter engine five only "action news" was there as the crews arrived. >> myself and ralph got our suits and hopped in there as quickly as we could.

the rescue boat spooked her. i jumped into the water and scooped her up. >> reporter: into the arms of the department. crews estimate the water temperature was 20 degrees, they were shocked the little girl may have been been she was staying afloat. the 1-year-old is lexie. she loves birds and that's what lured her to the ice. she shivered for a half-hour after a dramatic rescue and is warm and grateful. >> that's what we're here for we make rescues put out fires and save dogs, and cats, whatever it takes. >> when he came back in the vehicle he had warm blankets to wrap her up, and he had his two

millville, 40. we're expecting highs close to 50 degrees millville 54, 55, dover, same thing. north and west with the snow cover it will be hard to get temperatures that high. let's say 40 degrees for allentown and reading. there will be a large temperature gradiant this afternoon. lots of clouds in place that's kind of riding the arctic front or the cold front that's running this u.s./canadian border. that's going to be dropping to the south over the next 24, 36 hours. this low pressure area here will ride the front pull into the delaware valley first thing tomorrow morning. with a little cold air in place and this thrown in we have the ingredients for a wintry mix. this could create problems especially after the morning commute after precipitation picks up in intensity. 9:30, most of the area steers clear of any icing. it's starting to develop in the lehigh valley. all that again starts dropping

south and east as the day wears on. this is accuweather's thinking at this point right now. the monday morning commute looks like mainly rain, light rain for the i-95 corridor. mixing. sleet and freezing rain for the pennsylvania turnpike and the poconos. by the evening commute let's say sleeting or freezing rain and sleet in the city. light snow for the lehigh valley and raining south and east always temperatures will be on the mild side across the south jersey and delaware. the time line looks like from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., wintery mix expected for areas north and west, light rain in the i-95 corridor. south jersey and delaware not doing much of anything at all. 11:00 a.m., to 7:00 a.m. wintry mix north and west, raining south and east. tomorrow evening going into tuesday morning light snow north and west, in the city we'll see flakes mixing in at this point.

>> reporter: welcome back everyone, 9:24 sunday morning, the day planner looks nice, not as nice as yesterday. temperatures wise we'll be shooting for a high of 50 degrees. it will be a nice day lots of clouds around, temperatures mild for this time of the year. we have a front that's sitting like this. this is a cold front. to the north temperatures are cold. but to the south winds out of the southwest we're picking up the milder weather. don't mindment blue, none of this is reaching the ground. what will happen, that front will drop like this and allow

it. nobody was hurt. the east coast bracing for another round of snow and freezing rain that could break records in parts of new england. the weather system threatening to bring a foot of snow. we've had snow week after week after week, i meant hadn't been like this in ages. >> is there a danger of snow fatigue? >> reporter: i think so, yes. >> reporter: a power snowstorm brought 2 feet of snow in spots. on monday, some areas received a foot of snow and now we are expected to get over another foot of snow on top of it all. in northern california the rain is expected to start in a few hours and last through the day abc news, sacramento, california. >> a woman was hurt when she tried to save her pets from a burning home in delaware county this weekend. it happened on the 300 block of frances street in drexel hill.

flames were shooting from the frirls floor of the two -- first floor of the two story home. the woman suffered burns on her arms as she tried to rescue two cats from inside, the woman is being treated at the hospital. the cause is under investigation. in delaware, the search is on for who sparked a fire at two homes. firefighters were called to the 700 block of palm tree lane in claymont at 3:45 p.m. they found flames shooting from the second floor. the fire jumped to a second house. one woman was treated for smoke. >> a police dispatcher from new jersey was arrested in a deadly pedestrian crash. police say he was driving under the influence. 29-year-old was walking on the shoulder of tilton road in galloway township friday morning. police say he was struck by a car. the man died at the scene the driver was arrested and charged

with dui. drunk driving was suspected in a multi-vehicle crash that hurt four people in the olney section of philadelphia. it happened on adams avenue and crescentville road. police say one of the drivers lost control and set off the crash. all were taken to area hospitals, no one had life threatening injuries including the suspected drunk driver. charges are pending. the parents of kala mural released a statement from arizona saying they remain hopeful she is alive. isis said she was killed by an airstrike carried out by the

>> firefighters have gained the upper hand on a wind-driven wildfire that's burning at the base of the sierra nevada mountains. dieing winds and rains have helped efforts to contain the wildfire. it is now 50% contained. one firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation. >> meteorologist chris sowers is here, we're talking about a mild day today but changes are coming. it's not a big storm but it's annoying, we'll have to focus our attention on tomorrow afternoon when the temperatures drop and we pick up the freezing rain and sleet. in the meantime you'll love today, there's the view in penns landing, we're starting to pick up sunshine as a couple folks jogging and enjoying the mild change we're seeing right now. temperatures have been bitter cold over the last couple of days. as a matter of fact we had single digit temperatures a few mornings ago. this is nice, refreshing.

storm tracker 6 live double scan showing nothing but patchy drizzle toward the state college area. most locations above freezing with the exception. reading and allentown. dover, 42 degrees, most areas south of philadelphia, should climb into the low 50s today. watching this area of low pressure right here, now this line, this is the storm track you can kind of follow the clouds that gives you an idea where the storm will be traveling. if that line was factory to the south, this low -- was farther to the south this low would have dropped farther to the south. it is run over the delaware valley the northern portions it's going to act like a train car on the tracks, it will follow as it hits the east coast. colder temperatures come in and eventually we get into ice be. by 7:00 a.m. the morning commute will be nice and quiet. maybe freezing drizzle in the lehigh valley, maybe sleet pellets mixed in.

as the morning gets going into the afternoon it will increase in coverage and intensity, what i am trying to say here. eventually it will slip over to light snow. you can see in the afternoon the freezing rain and sleet will go over to snow. by the evening commute it's snowing north and west of philadelphia. sleet and freezing rain across the i-95 corridor and light rain across south jersey and delaware. again, doesn't look like a tremendous event not a huge amount of ice or snow with the system, but enough to create the slick spots out there. tracking the ice by 10:00 a.m., mainly confined to areas well west of philadelphia and the lehigh valley. you can see how the ice line nudges closer and closer to the city. by 4:00 p.m. it's probably in the city and areas to the north. trenton and allentown reporting freezing rain and sleet. as far as the snow, we're not looking at a tremendous amount of snow. this model right here, says 1.7. the concensus is saying not much

in the city, but more for the lehigh valley. 3.8 for the european model an 89rpm has under an inch. if you take all those numbers and put them on a map. this is what it looks like basically nothing from the pennsylvania south, you go north of there a coating to an inch, reading, pottstown and doylestown quakertown and allentown, the lehigh valley one to two inches. during the day it's mainly sleet and freezing rain. poconos 2 to 4 inches when all is said and done by tuesday morning. lots of clouds, milder high of 50 degrees winds out of the north/northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. cloudy skies overnight tonight 30 degrees outlying suburbs, 35 for center city. light rain towards dawn. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, falling temperatures for tomorrow 38 degrees to start things out. by afternoon we're hovering close to the freezing mark. we is get into tuesday, 43 it's a quiet afternoon.

instagram and facebook pages he was posting pictures of money and jewelry. three men armed with guns and wearing masks forced their way into a townhome in the somerton section of the city. police tell "action news" that the males fled in a hurry and left two handguns inside the apartment, the victims cell phones were discovered outside. the victim's neighbor said he heard glass breaking and went into his safe and got his handgun. it not known if the neighbor scared the males away. >> they jumped out of a second floor window after they held up the kids in the house. after i chased them down, they ran so fast, two officers showed up and flashed on me, i told them i had a side arm. they asked me to put my hands on

gunman took off on foot with cash. police are looking for two armed robbers who held up a restaurant. "action news" was on the scene at 500 block of east baltimore boulevard in east land down. they robbed the place and took a tip jar nobody was hurt during the robbery. >> from our new jersey newsroom police in trenton are searching for suspects at a deadly shooting at an apartment overnight. it happened on the 1900 block of riverside drive at the brookville commons. police say a man was shot several times and rushed to the hospital where he later died from his wounds. >> a teenager is in custody following a shooting inside a large shopping mall. police arrested the teen at # 15:00 a.m. he is charged with shooting inside a macy's store. three were shot, but only one of
