under investigation because he is not formerly charged but multiple sources tell us he is expected of stealing drugs and cash from the evidence room here at upper darby police. multiple sources tell "action news" that the detective at the center of the investigation is one of two in charge of the evidence room in upper darby police. >> another investigator became suspicious last week launching the probe that is being led by the delaware county district attorney's office. >> it was brought to our attention by one of offer criminal investigators that there were some discrepancies in evidence, as a result of that we did an audit and now we are working with the district attorneys office to find out what that audit shows. >> sources say that the officer in question is suspected of stealing thousands of dollars and prescription drugs and other narcotics he was involved in a car accident on the job years

morning, and the northbound inner lanes are closed from red lion road as crews continue to make repairs. matt pellman will have detour information coming up in traffic. the ntsb is investigating the money landing of a u.s. airlines jet on route from philadelphia to texas. it flew without its nose gear. officials say it could be months before we know what caused the wheels to malfunction john rawlins is live now at philadelphia international airport with what happened. >> hi rick, by all accounts, last night's flight 1825 a normal flight from here to houston troubles cropped up on the approach to houston and the crews in the cockpit could not get confirmation that the gear was down and in place. >> it was now towed off runway

health check tonight measles reported in 17 states including pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. congress is turning its attention to measles mumps and whooping cough diseases that were once wiped out in america. ali gorman has the details. >> reporter: they say this is a wake-up call and bigger outbreaks lie ahead. why vaccination rights are dropping and what can be done to bring them back up. the committee heard from witnesses that some wealthy places in california the rates are those in third world countries. they say that other parents fear that vaccines can be harmful, a top cdc officer tried to put that to rest.

"action news" continues with adam joseph, jaime apody rick williams and monica malpass. hello again a crime of opportunity leave a trenton business in the cold for a second time. also an armed thief does not let a store counter stop him from getting his cash and that is all on surveillance. and pennsylvania's new governor says that hourly age workers deserve a pay raise. and details, thieves looking to make easy cash targeted a trenton business they were after copper inside of the air conditioning units on the roof. above the west side pharmacy, authorities say in fact it has happened before. new jersey correspondent, nora muchanic is live with the details. >> the copper thieves we are talking about are very organized and very persist an apparently coming back over a three day

period late last month to finish the job, by stealing the copper on all the compressors of this strip mall, the businesses are left without heat. the pharmacy owner is fed up. >> steve mckay is manager of west side pharmacy in trenton. thiefs have topped to the top of the building and stripped the copper from seven different air compressors on the roof. they have opened up the compressors and taken out the insides and took off. >> this is what they are disconnecting from the units they snip it and take it off. and sell it to a scrap dealer it sits across from a substation mckay says replacing the damaged compressors cost his landlord $100,000. and when other stores closed or left this area over the years his family stayed to help the community we try to bring new

bags of tools on the roof and they are processing them and reviewing surveillance cameras in the area. the heat will not be restored until the strip mall has all the security measures back in place. >> they said it makes no sense to put the compressors back up there because they will come steal it again. investigators are investigating a fire that ripped through a row of homes in wilmington at the 3900 block of north market street. firefighters pulled a 59-year-old man from the fire and he died later at the hospital. no one else was hurt. damage is estimated at $400,000. new jersey transportation commission under has or ordered a review -- this after accidents

jersey and philadelphia. >> meantime from the delaware newsroom state police arrested two men and charged them with stealing a car from montgomery county and resisting arrest. police car called when they were seen in the stolen honda, officers had to tase corey foster when he tried to run off with a gun in his hand and payton tried to run and was arrested on marsh road. >> and a white car smashed into a telephone pole on route 14 just north of market trail and it managed to snap that pole in half nearly from the top, the car was badly damaged and 200 people lost power for two hours because of it. no word on injuries because of the crash. the camden county health department is warning residents to stay alert after two raccoons
