investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire. two people were injured in this head-on collision in north philadelphia. one victim is fighting for his life. the accident happened just after midnight in the 400 block of west lehigh avenue. both drivers were taken to temple university hospital, no word on who or what caused the wreck. overnight the new secretary of defense arrived in afghanistan. dr. ashton carter touched down in kabul. he said the afghanistan governments needs to be more unified. the afghanistan tan president comes to washington next month. at that meeting carter may plan to slow down the closing of basis in afghanistan. we're learning details in the apparent road rage killing in las vegas. the suspect bragged to his friends about the shooting. a new report sheds light on the encounters between the suspect

new jersey. the blaze broke out in orange he essex county. neighbors who rushed to the scene saw two kids trapped in the home. >> we seen smoke coming from the front. we ran down we looked up, it was two kids up there. we like, yo, jump! >> that neighbor said the two children jumped from the top floor window and he caught them, at least two adults and three children lived in the home. officials say one person has died and others may be unaccounted for. but they are not releasing any other details at this point. one person died after a car slammed into a utility pole in new jersey. the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. last night. chopper 6 over the scene on 130 in cinnaminson. one man was taken to cooper university hospital where he died. two others were hurt. no word on what caused that

accident. a woman is recovering this morning after being rescued when a stairway collapsed around here in philadelphia's hunting park section. it happened on the 3200 block of north phillips street. officials say the woman was walking on the stairs when they simply gave way. the department of licenses and inspections is investigating. the search is on for the shooter who killed a man sitting in his car last night in the tioga nicetown section. the police say the victim was a man in his 20s. investigators say he was sitting in the car in the 1500 morocco morocco -- 1500 block of west butler street when he shot with an assault rifle. one man is in custody in connection with the death of niki minaj's tour manager. picket from new york was killed
