morning. >> our mix of snow and freezing rain has left a slushy slippery mess across the delaware and lehigh valleys this morning. >> we're looking at center city right now. good morning, it is 9:00 a.m. on this sunday. wondering if we're going to look at a video of a crash in delaware. maybe not. there's the crash. this happened after 7:00 a.m. on lancaster pike. police say a minivan and pick up childed. three people were hurt and taken to the hospital for treatment. lancaster pike was close while delaware state police investigate. >> and we're taking live look at atlantic city. you can see the fog setting in there, making it difficult to see too far out in front of you. it's mainly rain for hours in ac. >> meteorologist chris sowers is outside tracking the remnants from yesterday's storm things are getting better, right?

>> reporter: things are starting to improve, the rain, sleet and snow has shut off. now the task is to remove the snow. it's heavy wet snow. it's so heavy and wet, a lot of snow blowers will not get through it, so you'll need a shovel. this will not be an easy task. this is by far the heaviest snow we've seen so far this winter season. it's so cold, the snows for the most part has been light and fluffy. wilmington, you take the grand prize you picked up 6.7 inches. pike creek 6.4. mantua, 6 inches and ridley park 6 inches of snow. now that everything has calmed down get out there and remove the snow from the driveways and the walkways, because we have a deep freezing coming overnight tonight. this is a heavy, wet snow. make sure you stretch your muscles, a lot of this is common sense. stretch your muscles shovel

forming. in manayunk those out and about walked gingerly this morning on the snowy icy sidewalks. >> penndot crews tried to keep up with the quick accumulation of snow, but the record-low temperatures made it difficult to prepare for this winter storm. >> we have plenty of residual salt from last week's storm. the problem was if we go out and brine with the temperatures of the roads. >> on a lighter note, students from drexel university sledding down the art museum steps. it didn't take long for the roads to be completely covered. major roads like 202 were a mess. drivers had no choice, but to tyke it slow. >> they are not too good, in this jeep it's fine. if you're in a front wheel drive car it's not too good. >> it took me about a half-hour

>> let's go live to annie mccormick live in roxborough. hey annie. >> reporter: hey, guys if you look at ridge avenue, cars are not having any problems, they are driving through a lot of slush. i want to show you the untreated areas, like this sidewalk, it's a sheet of ice it's two inches. i don't want to slide too much, i don't want to end up on a youtube club. you need to walk in the snow to get the traction. a lot of people are dealing with this especially in roxborough with the hills. they hope the warmer temperatures today will help them out. this was main street manayunk people slipping and sliding on the sidewalk and drivers in thick ice. the winter mix changed to rain and many hoping for puddles and not patches of ice.

>> clearing the snow and ice septa crews were busy overnight making sure bus terminals were clear before people got out and about this morning. >> our mix of snow and freezing rain has left a slushy slippery mess across the delaware and lehigh valleys this morning. >> new video is into "action news" of a nasty crash on the slick roads in delaware. this happened on lancaster pike in greeneville. a minivan and pick up collided. three people were hurt and taken to christiana hospital for treatment. lancaster pike was close the while delaware state police investigate. let's take a live picture of center city skyline. conditions are improving this morning, but be careful as you head out.

you don't need to be a he man this is a heavy wet snow. you don't want to clear your walk quirk than the guy next-door. proper technique with the heavy wet snow. you meant to squat your legs, bend your knees keep your back straight and push the snow off the walk, as opposed to lifting it. again, it's a very, heavy wet snow. i just shoveled the balcony a little bit, it wasn't easy. i'm glad i'm not doing the entire thing. over the next couple of hours here be on the look out for slushy back roads bridges overpasses the normal that see ice. most of the rain roads are wet but still take your time, the visibility is an issue. we're down to less than two miles in philadelphia. bottom line, slow it down on the roads this morning. later this afternoon things will be better. 2 miles in philadelphia. reading, 2 miles. wilmington, you're down to

time for the old and unusual pictures of the week. a loveable snow man from the hit film frozen has come to life in wisconsin. he was created the character who likes to give warm hugs. he stands 22 feet tall and 12 feet wide at the base. he began working on it in december. he added more to it with each snowfall. it took a total of 50 hours of work. he said he got the idea from his daughter who loves the disney character. take a look at the massive snow man who has come to live in minnesota. the snowman is so tall it appears to be as tall as the home. there are snow minyans from the hit movie despicable me. they are complete with the cute blue overalls. when it comes to snow in
