in the news police make an arrest after a train collision. the charges one man is faces. and an accident with a bus carrying special needs children causes delays on the roosevelt boulevard. yesterday's blast injured yesterday's people and one remains in critical condition. just a short time ago we got a close-up look at the home that blew up. it happened within the crews were looking for a gas leak causing an evacuation for dozens of homes. annie mccormick spend the day in the neighborhood. new jersey natural gas repaired the gas leak, and now they go door-to-door to turn the gas back on at homes.

this neighborhood is working to get back to normal after an explosion yesterday. new jersey natural gas crews working overnight into the morning went door-to-door in the cedar run section of the township to restore gas. >> we didn't have gas in the afternoon and we got it between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. >> they used fire wood to stay warm last night and this morning they are waiting for their gas to come back on and barricades near the scene changed their morning routine. >> the school had to change the bus stop, it's a hard time for the buses to come down, we moved up the block and that is not bad at all. >> nearly 24 hours after the explosion we were able to see the aftermath up close 15 of them were injured. emt's firefighters and gas crews. some people were without gas and some were without electricity

some were allowed back in last night and gas crews were back in the area looking for a gas leak after neighbors reported a foul smell, in fact this dash-cam video, from a squad car shows how close they were. >> they had the area secured before the blast that made the difference it could have been worse. >> oak avenue was closed most of the night and this morning as crews repaired the break and the roadway above it and now it's reopen and traffic will be able to go through. annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> we are updating this story since it happened at 6abc.com. right now we have video from the action cam and from chopper 6 hd, and more than a dozen photos of that devastating blast from yesterday. you can find it there now at 6abc.com. philadelphia police have shut down a number of streets surrounding yesterday's three-alarm fire in kensington.

sunshine this afternoon. yesterday was raw we wound up at 25 but already today we are up to 36 degrees, already improve 10 degrees. 35 in wilmington and 36 in millville. breezy out there and not too bad compared to the last couple of days. we'll go for a high of 39 and we could hit 40 that is below average but better than yesterday. 23 overnight, and at this point we are used to it aren't we we had only 32 hours total we spent above the freezing mark and temperatures are below freezing 90% of the today. the next issue for us is coming to us from the southwest you can see a rain-snow event as it encounters cooler air in place in our neck of the woods tomorrow morning we'll get the leading edge of that. the bulk is at the southern tier

near the carolinas and we'll pick up some more around the afternoon. road crews are taking advantage of the above freezing weather they are making emergency repairs today to a large pothole in newark delaware the westbound side of the cleveland lane is closed and work crews tried to fix the crater between wilbur street and they are expecting significant travel delays in that area. hundreds of students went home earlier because of a water main break at neshaminy high school, everybody was dismissed at 10:00 and the water service was shut off as crews made repairs, there was no flooding or repairs made to the actual school. now a school bus crash on the roosevelt boulevard, this morning 10 special needs students were on the bus nobody was hurt but as a precaution,

the students were taken to the nurse to be checked out when they arrived at the school this moning. 3-year-old elinor trotta is back at home with her mother of an amber alert track ed her to massachusetts. her father, michael trotta waived extradition. trotta fled to see relatives in spencer, massachusetts, that is where he was captured by a fbi s.w.a.t. team. >> it was not fair to her he was talking about doing something to harm the baby and himself. >> trotta had a razor knife and was tiring to kill himself at the time of his arrest. but he said he never meant to

harm his daughter. an appeal is expected from the exmarine, convicted of killing two men eddie ray was convicted yesterday. >> we the jury find the defend eddie ray routh guilty of capital murder. >> it took the jury less than three hours to come to that decision. not buying the decision that he was to meantly ill to know right from wrong. >> don't think he is insane at all, i think he played the system. the jury basing the decision on the apology played in court. >> i am sorry for what i have done. >> as well as the emotional testimony. >> who were you married to prior to february 2nd 2013?

a police officer. eric torres is accused in the shooting of officer davies it happened during a traffic stop in 2013, davies spend more than a month in the hospital recovering. the speed limit is going up on i-95 in delaware drivers will be able to go 65 miles per hour rather than 55 miles per hour at the split from wilmington the the delaware state line. the new limit is in line with how fast drivers are traveling on the driveway they believe it will make the road safer it is set to take effect in may or june. southwest is allowing planes to fly that skipped inspections. and meteorologist david murphy, is back with a closer look at the accuweather forecast. when "action news" at noon

36 in wildwood new jersey satellite shows you how a few more clouds fill in over the last hour or so they are high and thin and sparse enough where we get some in between, we'll be partly sunny this afternoon. a cool high of 33 in allentown, and down the shore a high around 40 degrees this afternoon and on the breezy side but not as cold and all together more comfortable than the last couple of days and in philadelphia we go for a high of 39 and partly cloudy and winds southwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour, 20 is the overnight low and the winds will die down a bit and it will be cold and that sets us up for a colder day tomorrow. for the evening commute, temperatures fall like they usually do breezy from 38 to 4:00 to the freezing mark, and 7:00 to the 20 degree low from there. by tomorrow morning, by 4:00 or
