good afternoon in the news a highway police chase unfolded this and morning and the crash of two vehicles sends a suv into a montgomery creek. but the big story is not one but two winter storms coming our way in the next two days. >> one is expected this afternoon and some schools are dismissing early here is the list on the bottom of your screen. lets get the latest from melissa magee in for david murphy. >> we are tracking moisture getting closer and closer to the delaware valley, the snow is in areas of south jersey and delaware and western suburbs and virga it is snow in the atmosphere but it's not making its way down to the surface just yet, we have to wait for the atmosphere to moisten up a bit.

stormtracker 6 live double scan showing the swath of snow moving across the great lakes and precipitation is moving across the ohio valley and this is working its way to a north to southeast direction, the winter weather advisory is up for the heart of the region, the exception is cumberland county and south jersey and cape may and kent county in delaware. we are tracking snow, and sleet and ice and plain rain. this goes up through 1:00 a.m. on wednesday. future tracker 6 will time it out for you the snow will arrive first for philadelphia and we have mixed precipitation to the south as warmer air punches into the system we go from snow to mixed precip to rain lets talk about what to expect in the timeline overall the snow and precipitation breaks out across the area between 3:00 in the afternoon and lasting through 11:00

tonight tonight. some light snow around a coating to an inch in the lehigh valley, and it changes to ice, a .10 inch of ice is likely. lets switch now to "action news" reporter, chad pradelli he just talked to penndot about dealing with this tricky storm later on and is live from norristown with more. >> reporter: hey rick, penndot certainly knows what it is doing and has plenty of practice this winter, it's the 20th weather event, that is almost three per week here at the penndot yard it's fairly quiet and it's more of a spreading event and they will load the trucks up and keeping an eye on the forecast and once this storm hits therk will hit the roadway with the full fleet and more than 300 trucks will be on the roads

people are in custody following pursuit on i-95 it started when police tried to stop a vehicle in chester, the people behind the wheel tried to flag a police officer and jump on the highway, it ends near fallers avenue and ridley where a driver and female passenger was taken into custody investigators are trying to retrace the scene and looking for a gun possibly discarded during the pursuit. one car flipped over following a collision in montgomery county this morning. four cars were involved in the crash in cheltenham, one landed in the creek and another rolled on to its roof across the road, rescuers were called to the scene and one person was taken to the hop and investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the crash. chopper 6 hd gave us the first day light view to fire damage of an upper moreland

sheet metal plant. smoke from the inferno impacted traffic along the adjacent pennsylvania turnpike peco cut power to 900 customers as a precaution, nobody was hurt and the cause remains under investigation. >> another fire overnight damaged a historic church in montgomery county the 500 people that worshipped there are forced to make other plans annie mccormick joins us live from the scene in haines port with the latest. >> reporter: members of congregation continue to come up here and look at their place of worship in ruins they are obviousously upset. investigators are sifting through the debris and they do not believe this is suspicious but it's early in the investigation. cell phone video captured just after 3:00 a.m., shows eastern

annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." pennsylvania governor tom wolf, is unveiling his first budget proposal to lawmakers in harrisburg this hour. the governor there is addressing the rank and file here in harrisburg his budget calls for restoring millions if cuts to education. "action news" reporter john rawlins in harrisburg and will have more coming up today on "action news" beginning at 4:00. critical work is being done at the site of the 2013 center city building collapse engineers are digging and testing soil at 27th and market. they are trying to determine what kind of underground foundation is needed for a memorial there. june 5th is the second anniversary of the collapse that killed six people. israeli prime minister

attackers inside of a bar in new york city. this video was release said early sunday morning five men and two women pounced on two other men stabbing two of them and badly beating a third victim. the suspects took $56 in cash and two cell phones during the attack. there is new video this noon giving us a view of the critical moments before a police killed a man on skid row in los angeles. it showed the man talking with officers before jumping into a tent on the sidewalk police drew their guns and told them to come outside of the tent and he came out swinging and they wrestled him to the ground. the man was fatally shot after he allegedly tried to grab one of the officer's guns. the officers say the shooting was justified. pictures of jihadi john was

broadcast this morning. muhammad emwazi can be heard talking to a muslim advocacy group that a group warned him that he was under surveillance because he was wanted for terrorism in syria. a spokesperson for hillary clinton says that there was nothing illegal or improper about her use of a personal email account during her time as secretary of state overnight "the new york times" reported that clinton did not even have a government email address, she sent her to government accounts expecting them to be archived as required. she is preparing to launch a widely expected presidential campaign. >> fbi is investigating a $4 million robbery on i-95, two armed guards are traveling from

one tomorrow and significant snowfall possible on thursday. stormtracker 6 live double scan radar showing you that we do have the snow that is getting closer to our region i was checking the observation data in south jersey also into delaware, none of that precipitation making its way to the surface yet, same thing across our western suburbs it will continue to inch closer and closer to our region as we go through the rest of the afternoon hours. that is why we have the winter weather advisory posted for our region today. still pretty dry winds out of the south at 12 miles per hour, it is holding steady as you look at the numbers outside this afternoon 31 in the city and 27 in allentown and same thing in lancaster and reading, once the snow moves through it will sink fairly quickly to the surfaces 31 in dover and along the coast in atlantic city coming in at 32, lots of clouds across much

of the delaware and lehigh valley, we are tracking the shield of snow from pennsylvania back and forth from the great lakes, and that mixed precipitation is moving through the ohio valley this works its way eastward as we go through the rest of the today. future tracker 6 showing you between now and right through 1:00 we have the snow arriving across our western suburbs, by 3:00 the snow from the poconos all the way to reading and lancaster on eastward to areas in philadelphia and along the i-95 corridor, as we get into 5:00 this evening, the snow will start to transition for the city and areas north and west. you'll get a transition from snow to sleet and freezing rain, the on jet in south jersey is starts out at snow pelts and sleet mixing in and then transitions over to rain. the warmer air quickly moves across our coastal plain communities quickly but the mix line as you move farther inland
