ng on the ben franklin bridge tonight, the timing of the storm the big problem it's hitting during the evening rush and recently speeds along the delaware bridges all of them are reduced to 35 miles per hour, the big story on "action news" another winter storm delivering a mix of snow, ice and rain. >> not everybody will see snow, what you get of course depends on where you live. we have team coverage of this. walter perez and chad pradelli and lets begin with our team of meteorologist. cecily tynan and adam joseph. >> and this storm system is coming in three ways, ice then rain and then snow. we have a lot of blue on the map and it's freezing rain and sleet pellets mixed in to the north. zooming in where you see the darker shades of blue, that is the heavier shades of rain, we

have pretty good rain in chester and delaware county and chadds ford and media lighter and an area of heavier freedsing rain in trenton and right now the plain rain is to the south and we have to get the winds to pull in the warmer air before we get the change over to the plain range, winter weather advisory has it posted for our area until 1:00 in the morning for the freezing rain and we'll see a change over in philadelphia before 1:00 a.m. it will happen in two to three hours. right now the temperatures tell the story 21 degrees in philadelphia and allentown 26 wildwood has now moved up to 34 degrees, so they'll be seeing the change over to plain rain quickly. philadelphia and the i-95 metro area we are looking at up to .10 inch of ice, and it will be changing over to plain rain, liquid rain between 7:00 and 9:00. that change over will happen a

lot later in the lehigh valley we are looking for the potential for an inch of that sleet and the potential of ice and changing to rain between 10:00 and 1:00 tonight. it will take longer in the areas up to the north and in the men time it's a battle between warm and cold air lets go to adam joseph for details. >> typical cecily for march, the battle of two seasons beginning and winter is still lingering bismark 13 degrees and cincinnati 50 and memphis 50s and it's how it feels where the battle zone is going on. the warmth wins out overnight tonight and through your wednesday the morning rush tomorrow is damp and mild and rainy, the same thing for tomorrow evening's rush hour we are still dealing with plain old on and off rain showers, but as

we zoom to the south you can see the zone where we have the snow to the north and the rain to the south tomorrow evening, as you will of this moisture moves along that boundary we'll see that cold air win out from the north and west by thursday morning when everyone flips back over to snowfall and in fact we look at the accumulated snow from the tennessee and ohio valley and the mid-atlantic and the darker blue here is the heavier snow bands and we are in the zone of the i-95 corridor we see a significant amount of snow here and the winter storm watch for the entire viewing area for wednesday night into the day on thursday. for the possibility of that accumulating snow. when meteorologist, cecily tynan returns we'll talk about how much we could see here in the full accuweather forecast. >> thank you adam, the commute home is always difficult when the roads are messy and it takes longer to get to your destination tonight and david henry is live in willow grove.

looking at a stand still on the 30 bypass westbound side for miles and miles and we have several accidents in the westbound direction and if you look at the eastbound lanes where there is not quite as much traffic, you can see the tire tracks that means there is an accumulation of ice and slush creating slippery conditions even with all the salt on the roadway, we see slickness and therefore a lot of accidents. in doylestown a crash on 611 and ben salem a car plowed into a tree and on the schuylkill expressway a stand still in both directions traffic like this at the conshohocken curve this 34 minute travel time should be just five minutes. extra heavy on the westbound side because of the earlier overturned truck on the ramp to the pennsylvania turnpike westbound. a broken down vehicle on 38 westbound a gas main break on 70, something for everybody.

shortly after secretary of state, john kerry met with iran's foreign minister in switzerland the deal on the table requires iran to limit their nuclear program for 10 years in return for lifting international sanctions. they hope to reach a deal by the end of the month. >> a new report says that the federal aviation association is vulnerable to hacker attacks, they unveiled the report showing that the agency does not have the sufficient controls on computer access and user authentication and has failed to meet the requirements of a 2002 security law these short comings could put national air space at risk according to the gao and includes better training and record keeping and the faa has agreed to make the changes.

into custody after posting bail on attempted murder charge last week. he allegedly stabbed the two outside of aeast mt. airy bar four people with ties to philadelphia were killed during a family vacation in the dominican republic they were caught in strong currents and drown in punta cana, they ranged in ages from 27 to 30. a federal customs enforcement agent based in philadelphia is charged with stealing from people he was deporting, 30-year-old justin ford is charged with theft and receiving stolen property and official oppression. seth williams announced the

degree in the last half hour, 31 degrees now in millville and upper 20s to the north and west and the only spot above freezing is wildwood. 10 miles inland it will be sometime before the southerly wind can nix that warm air from above to the surface. double scan live radar the brief period of snow is now in new england and the big period of sleet and freezing rain is puncturing pittsburgh and continues to move from the southwest to the northeast from 8:00 tonight along i-95 we are at or above freezing as we change to plain old rain and the northwestern suburbs dealing with freezing rain at 8:00, by 11:00 temperatures get to 40 degrees in the lehigh valley and near 40 in areas and a big improvement for the second half of the evening, 8:00 tomorrow morning, 40s with on and off

rain showers, and a mild wednesday with on and off rain for both commutes not ice but puddles on the roadways that could slow your commutes tomorrow and then colder air comes in as the storm lingers wednesday night into thursday this is midnight you see the change over to snow from philadelphia to the north and west and mixing to the south and then everyone gets into the snow activity by thursday moning at 8:00 as temperatures fall into the 20s as we transition from a wet snow to a fluffy snow. we'll break this down, it's confusing with the long period of precipitation, wednesday rain a quarter to .75 inch, wednesday night, that rain changes to snow from north to south and thursday we deal with nevy snowfall in fact on thursday we look at a general 4 to 8 inches of snow through much of our viewing area, the exception at the lehigh valley

to the poconos may be too far to the north to bank on the jackpot, we are thinking 2 to 4 inches. but we have to see where the front sets up do the numbers stay the same or go up or go down we'll iron this out over the next 24 to 36 hours damp dreary and mild tomorrow at 45 and the snow storm is around tomorrow especially the front end of the day and temperatures falling into the 20s in the afternoon and then very cold on friday despite the sunshine at 29, and then there is that weekend as we rebound back into the 40s with sunshine and a few clouds, we spring forward on sunday as we move the clocks ahead an hour and beautiful monday and tuesday upper 40s, a long period of potpourri of precipitation. a mixture get it. >> can we spring forward now? >> we can only wish, the 6 abc
