robert wilson and why he was inside the game stop store. meanwhile, charges have been filed against the brothers accused of killing wilson. sharrie williams has the details. >> reporter: balloons blowing in the wind, candles lit. willie wilson came by the memorial to pay his respects. he has the same last name as the officer he plans to go to the plaza at the time of the shooting, but changed his plans at the last minute. >> that could have been us in the store. >> reporter: officer wilson went inside the game stop shopping for a gift for his 8-year-old son whose birthday is monday. two armed suspects walked in and announced a holdup, officer wilson pulled his weapon confronting the two now caught in a raging gun battle.

>> he is moving back and forth firing at both suspects, he was taking rounds, he was being hit during the exchange of gunfire but he continued to fight and shoot until the fatal wound was fireed. a steady stream of people brought food and flowers paying respects to the 30-year-old father of two boys. >> i wanted to reach out and give our condolences, and say we appreciate the service. >> the department said officer wilson saved lives that day as customers and employees were inside the store. the shootout captured on surveillance video. >> i've seen a lot of heroic action on the part of the of police officers over the year, itch not seen any above what i saw on the video.

hopefully this is the last morning this winter season i have to talk about single digit lows. it's been a brutal stretch for us. maybe a few clouds this afternoon, but that's about it. the day planner like this, 11:00 a.m. 31, 2:00 p.m. 38. shooting for a high of 39 degrees. we have warmer temperatures coming up in just a bit. >> police ended firing a shot at a car officers spotted a car racing from the scene. police say the driver was ordered to stop, when that did not happen, an officer fired a shot the car crashed into a suspect, three suspects all okay were taken in for questioning. the original shooting victim is

in the hospital, the officers are all right. new this morning a young man was shot in the back and killed in north philadelphia. police are looking for a gunman. the shooting happened after 2:00 a.m. on the 2100 block of west i i avenue. a fault was discovered near a home on columbus road in burlington. the compromised section of the sewer line is only 5 inches long, the family did not have to evacuate. firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the nursing home of the 700 block of sumneytown pike. there were no reports of injuries and so far no word on what caused the fire. chopper 6hd above as flames

poured out of a gloucester county home. firefighters were called to the 600 block of hesston road at 8:30. it took a half-hour to bring the blaze under control. nobody was injured. a defiant new jersey senator bob menendez said he is not going anywhere. he could be indicted for federal charges in the next two weeks. he has been under scrutiny for his relationship with dr. solomon melgen. menendez agreed to reimburse him $48,000. >> let me be very clear, i have always conducted myself appropriately and in accordance

with the law. >> the fbi raided melgen's office two years ago. he got more reimbursements from medicare in 2012 than any doctor in the country. today marks 50th anniversary of the bloody march from selma to montgomery. it was ordinary organized by dr. martin luther king. president obama and george bush will join survivors where dozens of civil rights activists were beaten and tear gassed by police. >> selma is now selma is about the courage of ordinary people doing exroarld extraordinary things because they believe they

evidence of drug contamination in milk. the agency took samples of raw milk and tested them for 31 drugs. less than 1% showed illegal drug residue. boston medical center study found 15% of two-year-olds in the boston area drink coffee evidence. this is likely associated with cultural practices. the study found that parents who gave their child coffee were born outside the u.s. and most were hispanic. pediatricians recommend against caffeine for children because it can lead to depression and obesity. we're finding out which kind of exercise works best for

overall health. they followed overweight people they followed intensity workout. both groups lost the same amount of inches, but the group that had more vigorous exercise had improvement in blood sugar levels than the low intensity group. there are different ways to increase the intensity of your workouts. it could mean increasing your speed or incline on the treadmill or short bursts of energy to take you out of your comfort zone, recover and repeat the cycle.
