sky line. many are maneuvering around slush, ice left over snow in the delaware and lehigh valleys, a lot of which if not all will in melt over the coming week. meteorologist melissa a magee joins us with the first check of the accu weather forecast hi there, melissa. >> hi walter, we had a much needed respite from the cold and snowy conditions across the delaware and lehigh valleys. lots of melting earlier today but this morning we were waking up with, record low temperatures. reading 2 degrees for the low. new record in wilmington dropped down to five. atlantic city dropping down to eight. zero in allentown. lancaster 3 degrees below zero. in trenton you tied the the record low this morning of 7 degrees. nice recovery this afternoon and still early this evening. temperatures along i-95 corridor are in the upper 30's. thirty-nine in the city. thirty-eight in reading. thirty up in the poconos. forty there to the west of lancaster. 35 degrees along the the coast in atlantic city. when we look at the the 24 hour temperature change this really tells the the story. yesterday we were only in the 20's for high temperatures.

community just continues to grief. fellow police officers were on hand for a prayer vigil in honor of robert wilson the third. he is hailed by officials a as a great cop a and a great role model. now those hit hardest by wilson's death are relying on each other to get through this. a "action news" reporter annie mccormack was there for the the vigil and she joins us live annie. >> reporter: and, walter, the community wants philadelphia police to know that officer robert wilson was a hero. in fact they wanted to show their appreciation so they brought appraiser vigil to the the steps of the 22nd district. >> we want to pray for love. we want to pray for peace. we want to pray for comradery. we want to pray for fellowship. >> reporter: under black bunting hanging from the between the second district in honor of slain philadelphia police officer robert wilson pastor green began to pray. the hand behind him williams brother and sisters of blue. prayer turn to song.

year-old boy from delaware county. kay mondays na id left his home in newtown square wednesday morning upset the about his homework. he has not been seen or heard from ever since. this morning hundreds of volunteers gathered at episcopal academy to canvas neighborhoods and help pass out flyers. k-9 teams and law enforcement agencies including the fbi, they are now involve in the case. >> it has been an incredible outpouring of support from tons of people, all over the region sending help with drones sending just people who we don't even know searching homes, searching out building. >> kay monies 5 feet seven, 110-pound and wearing a gray ski jacket, black ski pants and hiking boots when he left. anyone who knows anything about this case is asked to please call the police. police in philadelphia are looking for two men whom they say robbed a stake shop. it happened at jim's steaks on sixth second street in west philadelphia at 1:00 this

morning. the witnesses told police men entered the the store brandishing handguns with long barrels. officials say that those men then took a hundred dollars from the cash register and then robbed two customers before running off. and police arrested three people after a shooting in the parking lot in the olde city section of philadelphia. officers on patrol said they heard gunshots at 2:30 this morning on second and chestnut when they arrived on the scene they found a man shot in the leg. a a heart time later they found a car driving the wrong way down the sidewalk, as it was approaching the officers they opened fire. the car's driver later crashed in the construction fence allowing police to arrest three people inside. shooting victim was taken to the hospital where he remains in stable condition. former delaware news room officials tell "action news" that a fire inside an fire inside an apartment building in wilmington is being investigated as a case of arson. flames broke out at 1:00 a.m. at tara hill drive atwood edge apartment complex. the building was vacant.

check this out a road rage confrontation was caught on camera in florida. it started with two bikers crossing a busy intersection. a pick up driver rears in front of one. cyclist recovers and then confronts pick up driver who respond with the punch. it took a month but local investigators finally tracked down the person whom they believe was the driver of that pick up. he had has been since arrested and facing charges including aggravated battery. four candidates running for mayor of philadelphia discussed a few hot button topics today. group called pennsylvania working families hosted a candidate's forum there today in center city. anthony williams, jim kenny nelson diaz and doug oliver were in attendance. they discussed jobs, education, housing and community police revelations. lynn abraham were not there. members of the philadelphia youth orchestra were given a chance to rehearse with the pro this is morning at the kimmel center. >> ♪♪ >> how cool is that in these
