at are the details here? >> reporter: jim, it was a good thing when neighbors called 911 after their carbon monoxide detector went off in their home and the house next door, police and firefighters found a 7-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother home alone late at night in what police call dangerous and deplorable conditions. an orange sticker on the door of the home signals that the home is declared unfit for human habitation the woman that lives here christina wright is charged with endangering the welfare of her children. police and firefighters were called to the home next door when the monitor went off and they went to check the ajace -- the oven was on as a source of heat. they found paper and other

debris and in the bedroom they fine a 7-year-old little girl and a 4-year-old little boy, the 7-year-old tells police that her mother is at work and she is baby sitting firefighters detecting low levels of carbon monoxide in the home likely from the oven left on. >> this is absolutely ridiculous you have a potential carbon monoxide death and a potential fire death and a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old home alone in a house that is not fit for human habitation. >> when the mother arrived there she was arrested. >> she was always with her children she was a good mother, i was shocked, when you just told me that. >> especially with kids that young in the house you got to -- it's sad. >> now the children have been placed in the care of a relative while they look into their welfare christina wright was

released on $30,000 unsecured bail. >> thank you sara. firefighters ss battled a blaze at a gentlemen's club in cumber cumberland county. on delsy drive the two alarm fire sent flames through the roof and no reports of injuries and no word yet on what sparked the fire. the police say that the shooting of two police officers in front of the police station was an ambush. this protest in reaction to the region nation of the police cheer. one officer was shot in the face and one was shot in the shoulder both officers are released from the hospital but obviously this could have been a lot worse.
