forecast, it is already raining. >> reporter: at least you don't have to shovel it. we have a shield of moisture stretching across the entire keystone state from pittsburgh to philadelphia. doesn't matter where you are this morning it's coming down pretty good. north and west you're seeing snow melting with the rain. ponding on area roads, low-lying areas and areas of poor drainage. past the poconos, there's sleet and freezing rain. this stretches toward the ohio valley. today is looking like a nasty day, at least by the morning hours, this afternoon it will switch over to a few showers. pennsylvania turnpike, west or eastbound, you can see the heavier rains indicated by the yellows, we'll see periods of rain some of it will be heavy at times. there will be areas of fog

around, lunch time we're up to 52 degrees. the big story today is the wet weather, mild temperatures as we head into the up coming week, temperatures get cooler as another arctic shot comes in from mother nature. >> this morning saturday morning, a final farewell to a fallen police officer. caisson is being pulled for the fallen officer. last night a viewing was held for officer wilson where hundreds paid their respects. dann cuellar was there. >> reporter: hundred of police officers marched the solemn march that pace honor and

respect for the fallen officer robert wilson public relations. they marched where his family salt looking at the impressive demonstration of honor unity and brotherhood. the legion of officers salute his family. some of whom were in pain. >> it takes time to heal. there are no words that can take away the pain they feel right now, but we can do right now we can do to pay the proper honor to him and his memory and letted family know what he meant to all of us. >> reporter: officers from across region far and near made their way past officer's cruiser. later chip kelly dropped by to deliver two football to his sons. people gathered to sign a large mural in loving memory of officer wilson put together by

local mural artist mark gains. the 30-year-old officer was gunned down when he tried to stop a robbery in progress at the game stop at 2101 lehigh avenue. his bravery and courage saved the lives of others on in the store. >> i i couldn't stop thinking of him, i came from work just to touch his hand and say thank you. also signing the mural was one of his cousins. >> he was a hero. i wouldn't be man enough to go like that. >> >> reporter: remembrances continue this morning at the university of pennsylvania campus it will be followed by a funeral mass at 10:30. in southwest philadelphia, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> new overnight a man jumped from a burning row home in the nicetown section of

philadelphia. flames began ripping through the home about 3:00 a.m. a male in his 40s escaped the fire by jumping out of the window before firefighters arrived. he is being treated for chest pain and smoke inhalation. a vigil was held for a man who was gunned down while walking his dog. alarmed residents and their dogs, honored a slain neighbor. a group walked down wood crest where james stillman was killed. police i say the father had taken the family dog out for a nightly walk when he was shot. >> my understanding is that his daughter goes for a walk every night. it was a little late, he said i don't want you walking with me. he probably saved his daughter, as well. the dog laid by the dieing man

on the sidewalk. christine o'donnell has time to respond to a federal complain accusing her of using campaign funds. authorities say she used $20,000 in campaign donations to pay for rent and utilities at the townhouse where she lived and work. she denies the allegations. president obama said more steps are being taken to improve veteran's access to healthcare. he announced the creation of an advisory committee to recommend more improvements. mccain visited the phoenix hospital that sparkedment national scandal. he said va secretary is chipping away at the problem, but it is clear there is still much more to do. septa has 30 days to appeal

a federal judge's ruling that ordered philadelphia transit system controversial ad on the buses. john rawlins has the story. >> reporter: septa buses can be rolling billboards, the transit agency did not want this agency out there islamic jew hatred it's in the q'uran. the adds have run in other cities. behind the campaign, the afdi calls itself a human rights group. septa argues the message violates an internal standard that prohibits the ad. septa has no right to reject their message. a philadelphia federal judge agrees. >> it was the proper ruling.

>> reporter: we reached afdi attorney via skype. >> to be thinking about these issues not in the frame of political correctness. the islam i alsos in the middle east are using the q'uran to justify their violence against jews and christians. >> we believe that the ads are part of the campaign to smear muslims. jacob who is jewish runs the counsel of islamic relations. he describes it as a smear. as a civil rights organization, we have no problem with the ruling. >> reporter: if the ads appear here it will not spark fear, but outreach. >> for the community to learn about their neighbors.

>> reporter: john rawlins channel 6 "action news." >> a bankruptcy judge has denied the sale of the former revel casino. the judge said she lacksment authority to approve the deal to florida developer glen straub for $82. revel's utility supplier is a business appealing and threatening to cut off power heat and hot water. there's an increased chance it will have it foreclosed or sold off peace meal. union workers protested back in october, a court aloud trump to cancel itsy union contract. billionaire who is set to take over the casino said the cuts are necessary to keep it afloat. we have the ranking of the top ten for under ten grand.

rain in south jersey. the whole area is seeing a good soaking. 36 in allentown. philadelphia, 39. 46 in millville. wildwood 46 degrees. there's going to be a pretty large temperature contrast throughout the delaware valley the lehigh valley probably staying in the upper 40s today where is you get into far southern portions of south jersey and delaware, upper 50s close to 60. a large temperature swing. as we set it in motion, everything moving west to east. it's going to be raining all day long. surface maps looks like. here's an area of low pressure. it has a warm front that will attempt to push through. it may get as far north as south jersey and delaware. it all depends on where where the frontal system sets up. everybody sees the rain. we get into the sunday, the low

exits, the coast winds shifts out of the northwest. it's a cooler day we'll see a decent amount of sunshine during the morning hours with clouds rolling in. there could be a stray shower on sunday, but not as wet as what we're seeing today. painting the picture here, 11:30 a.m. raining across the a large portion of the area. allentown, 43, low 50s south and east. it's cloudy and damp with leftover showers popping up. allentown, 46. millville, 54. later this evening more clouds an patchy drizzle or pop-up shower. eventually that clears out overnight tonight. we get into tomorrow. we start out with sunshine, chilly temperatures most areas in the 30s by afternoon the clouds roll back in, that gives way to showers possible by afternoon. how much rain are we talking? looks like a good soaking throughout the entire area.

generally speaking we're looking at a half inch to an inch with some areas picking up more. the model has millville at 1.25, and philadelphia a little bit more than an inch. lehigh valley, three-quarters to an inch of rain. what you'll see is lots of ponding on roads the rain will come down at a good clip and reduce visibility, if you're traveling, take it slow. all this will be tapering off this afternoon. 56 degrees in philadelphia. which is above average, it will feel nice out there. millville, 58. cape may 56. morning rain, afternoon showers allentown, the lehigh valley, places like bethlehem staying in the upper 40s poconos upper 40s, trenton, 55 and atlantic city 57 degrees, the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast 50 degrees for tomorrow with the wind it will feel like the 40s. sunday is a cooler day. 58 we rebound nicely for monday.
