>> good morning, it is 6:00 a.m. saturday, march 14, here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." saying goodbye city officials, police, family and friends gather to say their final respects to fallen officer robert wilson iii. police make a quick arrest after a man is stabbed during an argument outside a philadelphia nightclub overnight. a dreary start to the weekend. it won't be a total washout. meteorologist chris sowers joins us with a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. that's good news to hear. >> reporter: not a total washout. [laughter]. let's get you outside eva it's going to be one of those days, we've seen better, that's for sure. that's the view of the philadelphia international airport. the whole area picking up a light to moderate rain.

occasionally we'll see heavier cells push through. double scan live, there you go, from west to east across the entire mid atlantic and northeast, periods of rain. some of it heavier indicated by darker shades of green and occasionally we pick up yellows and blues that cross upstate new york. everybody is seeing the moderate rainfall this morning maybe heavier towards laghts and -- atlantic city and the shorepoints, everybody is picking up a good soaking. if you're traveling use caution there's ponding on the area roads. we're seeing low visibility to a couple of miles in philadelphia and south jersey. periods of rain some of it will be heavy at times. we are expecting it to taper off with a few leftover showers later this afternoon. it will be damp and dreary, patchy drizzle from time to time. temperatures on the milder side. 44 degrees by 9:00 a.m. lunchtime, 52.

later this afternoon temperatures ranging anywhere from 54 to 56 degrees. weather gets better tomorrow, but not all that much. there's still a chance of a couple of showers. i'll have the complete forecast in ten minutes. >> this morning the final respects for the police officer who was killed in the line of duty. action cam is live at jfk a caisson procession is moving. when this first began moving, we did see commissioner ramsey and mayor nutter at the front as it was beginning to move. there was a huge show of support for officer wilson last night. hundreds of officers paid their respects in southwest philadelphia. they marched to 52nd and

whitley, and in a moving transcript saluted wilson's family. >> it takes time to heal. there's nothing that will take away the pain that they feel right now. well do what we can to pay the proper honor. >> eagles coach chip kelly was there to deliver two footballs to his sons. and a local artist made a large mural for people to sign. the viewing for officer wilson will begin at 7:00 a.m. at the palestra of university of pennsylvania, funeral services follow immediately. an argument ended in murder outside a west philadelphia nightclub. two men got into a fight at 53rd andy market. one man pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man in the head and chest. the victim dialed at presbyterian hospital. the outside security camera captured the killer. police tracked him down and a knife was found in a trash can.

police in delaware county say they have a suspect in a hit-and-run accident involving a little girl. paramedics loaded the 10-year-old girl into the ambulance. she was hit in the 600 block of hanover avenue as he had walked to school. no word if any charges have been filed. a homeless man was crushed to death inside a garbage truck in allentown. a crew was collecting trash when they heard noise and yelling from the back of the truck. the 53-year-old was taken to the hospital where he died. his death has been ruled an accident. a school bus got stuck when its front wheel hit a pothole in kensington section. chopper 6 was back and forth the scene on ontario treat. ontario street will remain closed between b and c streets

as crews repair the sewer lane that caused the sinkhole. los angeles police say they have arrested ten teenagers in a sex assault scandal all of them and the two victims attend venice high school. four others are under investigation, but not in custody. >> some of these were forced sexual acts, sexual assaults, others were consensual with individuals who are too young to give consent. lapd would confirm reports instagram photos opened the case. officers opened fire after the suspect got out of the car and waved a gun at deputies. a s.w.a.t team was called in, with a visible wound he

surrendered. during a chase the suspect nearly hit a skate boarder and drove on the wrong side of the street before stopping. >> police are pouring over this video and other images after the chaos during the shooting of two officers in ferguson, missouri. the shootings happened celebrating the chief of police stepping down. the family of a south jersey man killed in a police involved shooting has filed a lawsuit. dash cam captured the fatal shooting in bridgeton. one of the officers ordered jerome reid not to move after he stuffed a glove in the glove compartment. his family said he was unfarmed and said his hands were in plain

view. they are calling for federal and state investigation and $1 million in damages also. salvage operations are underway off the coast of florida where a blackhawk helicopter crashed. a new jersey marine was killed in the crash. stanford henry shaw iii went down with ten others during a routine training mission. on board 26-year-old staff sergeant andrew seif who received the silver star for combat valour a week ago. a woman whotified saying she passed out after cosby gave her two drinks. she remembers him stroking her hair and waking up at home. it was only after others came

the ohio valley it's running that frontal system stretches west to east. looks like the steady rains will linger at least through lunchtime, 1-- 12, 1:00 p.m. this is midday, temperatures in the 40s and 50s, this there is the back end of the steady rainfall. you'll see periods of drizzle and pick up a shower at the same time. temperatures are warming from south to north. dover, 6 # degrees by 4:00 p.m. allentown, 45. if you live north of the pennsylvania turnpike, more than likely temperatures are in the upper 40s low 50s today. south jersey and e -- and delaware shooting into the upper 50s, low 60s. tomorrow, sunshine the clouds roll back in, there could leftover showers developing, as well. for the lehigh valley it's going to be interesting, up there

police officer. mayor nutter and police commissioner, charles ramsey led the procession from 30th to jfk boulevard in university city. the caisson followed them carrying the body of fallen police officer robert wilson iii. his fell members of the 22nd police district were in the processionll be held later this morning to pay respects for officer wilson. this follows a viewing last night where many paid their respects, dann cuellar was there. >> reporter: hundreds of philadelphia police officers walked the solemn manner that pays honor and respect for the fallen officer. they marched where the family members sat and looked at the impressive demonstration of

he is at einstein medical center. firefighters are on the scene working to put out that scene. a vigil was held last night for a man who was gunned down while walking his dog. a group walked down wood crest where james stillman was killed wednesday night. the police say the father had taken the family dog out for a nightly walk when he was shot. >> my understanding his daughter goes for a walk every night. for every reason he said i don't want you walking with me, he possibly saved his daughter's life, as well. still man's dog molly remained by his side as he died on the sidewalk. they do not have a description of the suspect or possible motive. chopper 6 was above the scene of an accident involving a pedestrian in broomall, delaware county. the victim was trapped beneath

the vehicle after being hit. the took a half-hour to free the victim who was flown to presbyterian hospital. christine o'donnell has time to respond to a federal complaint that accuses her of uses campaign donations for personal use. authorities say o'donnell used over $20,000 in campaign donations to pay for rent and utilities at the delaware townhouse where she lived and work during her 2010 senate campaign, she denies the allegations. president obama said more steps are being taken to improve veteran access to healthcare. he announced yesterday the creation of an advisory committee to recommend more improvements. he went to the phoenix veterans hospital that sparked the national scandal. yesterday's visit was the president's first to the hospital. he said the va secretary robert
