es snarling the evening commute to say the very least. a pickup truck and two tractor-trailers collided in the southbound lanes. state police say two people were hurt. they have been taken to cooper university hospital. we can tell that you those injuries are not supposed to be life-threatening. but the commute home is slow at best. traffic just squeezing by in the left lane, although as we look at that live picture from chopper 6 it doesn't look like it is squeezing by anywhere. traffic at a standstill, backed up for what could be miles. we'll update the situation if we can. other news at this hour, police have arrested a teacher at a gloucester county school. it allegedly happened at the gloucester county institute of technology. english teacher adam mayr has been charged with allegedly creating images of private areas of student's bodies. he's behind bars on $300,000

"action news" reporter john rawlins is live outside the school tonight. john, what are the details here? >> reporter: well, jim all this happened very quickly. the school was alerted on thursday. they immediately contacted authorities. and there was an arrest made in less than 36 hours. >> we wanted to make sure that we got mr. mayr out of the school so he's no longer teaching. >> reporter: 37-year-old adam mayr an english teacher at the gloucester county institute of technology is in jail charged with invading the privacy of nine of his students. it's alleged he was apparently using a camera in what is sometimes call upskirting. >> the defendant was secretly recording these individuals with a small video recording device that was being used unbeknownst to the students at the time. >> reporter: mayr's neighbor page where this photo is from says he graduated from rowan university in 2001 and had been teaching at gcit since 2002. prosecutor sean dalton says

a and ice cream vendor making a delivery was stabbed in the smolder a dining hall restroom. the victim was taken to einstein medical center with nonlife-threatening injuries. the attacker reportedly in his 20's is still at large. he was wearing a lasalle sweatshirt. two philadelphia firefighters were injured today when their aluminum ladder came into contact with a power line. "action news" reporter david henry is live at temple university hospital where one of the two firefighters is still being treated and david any time something like this happens it is a brush with death. >> reporter: jim, luck way definitely on their side today firefighter eugene colter has been able to go home with his family. another has to stay here at the hospital. it wasn't much of a fire but for these two men it was a very close call. >> very frightening close call. i talked to both members and they said exactly the same

thing. >> reporter: firefighters from ladder 14 had helped extinguish a small bedroom fire at this house on the 2400 block of west norris street. about a half hour later they started breaking down their equipment. two of them had pulled this aluminum ladder away from the house. the top of it kept going into a power line. >> when it came in contact fortunately the ladder bounced back to the building. so just imagine if the ladder stayed in contact with the wires, we could have had a much graver situation. >> reporter: firefighters robert taylor and eugene colter goat a gelt from electricity a witness saw one of them go down. >> his arms just went from holding the ladder to drop down to the side of his body and he just passed right outism other firefighters quickly pulled both men away from the ladder. between them they have 23 years of experience. colter checked out okay at the hospital but taylor remains here in stable condition with third degree burns on his foot.

"action news" reporter kenneth moton is live on the reading viaduct and kenneth we're hearing about five projects finally moving forward. what's the story? >> reporter: well, jim these projects which include a new schuylkill river trail a large playground in the parkside area and transforming this space getting the money was a tough task until now. we can see the remnants of the old viaduct rail line here but an expensive makeover is in the works. it's been a project years in the making, transforming this historic but defunct reading railroad into a beautiful and

vibrant park filled with people. >> i think it's a great idea. it will definitely help the area. there's not a lot of places to walk dogs around here. >> reporter: the fairmount park conservancy made the announcement this afternoon, big plans and big dollars 11 million provided by the knight and william penn foundations to get five park projects across the city of philadelphia moving. that includes the refurbishing of the reading viaduct in spring garden. >> it's not about how much you invest it's how impactful your investment is and every one of these is going to make this city the great place we want it to be. >> we will test the idea that a revitalized and connected set of civic assets can foster engagement retain productive citizens and ensure the long term prosperity. >> reporter: the transformation of the 25,000 square foot quarter mile viaduct which runs from broad street across 13th and 12th streets to callowhill will cost nine-point sick million dollars. the funds coming from state, city and private resources. septa still owns the land but it will eventually be sold to

scan showing tonight we have dry conditions despite the clouds. no rain falling right now and we are live on sky 6 taking a look at the boardwalk in atlantic city. lots of sunshine there. you'll notice, though, sky 6 shaking. we have some gusty winds and with the winds off the ocean temperatures along the beaches never climbed out of the 40's today. definitely in the a very nice beach day. the accuweather highlights will show that you tomorrow we do have the luck of the irish early before colder air moves in. it certainly is going to be a very chilly wednesday. tomorrow though, we'll reach a high right around lunchtime of 62 degrees for your saint patrick's day. don't get used to it, though. the winds kick up in the afternoon behind a cold front and then temperatures will be dropping by particulars clock 52 degrees and these winds will continue to gust through the day on wednesday so wednesday afternoon we're looking at 3 o'clock, wind chills, wind chills generally will be in the 30's, maybe even the 20's in the lehigh valley for wednesday

afternoon. spring officially arrives friday night so it's still winter and it's certainly going the feel like it. right now in philadelphia 55 degrees. 53 is the normal high for this time of year. temperatures just slightly above normal. millville 48. reading 51. allentown 49 degrees and then you can see the influence of the ocean wildwood currently it's only 43 degrees and beach haven right now it's a chilly 40. satellite6 along with action radar showing you can see all the clouds spilling over a warm front slowly inching through our region. there are showers out to the west and there's a possibility we could see a few spotty showers in the morning. i think the best chance will be across the poconos the northern lehigh valley and future tracker showing around 8 o'clock we'll actually see some clouds mixing with sun 51 degrees in philadelphia. 52 in wilmington. 55 in millville. so, a very mild start to the day. around lunchtime we reach temperatures in the low 50's in philadelphia but behind that cold front we clear things out plenty of sunshine

by the afternoon but future tracker showing down into the 50's in philadelphia, 53 degrees, in the 40's in allentown and this is when we'll also get those very gusty winds. so tuesday 62 degrees early and wind gusts up to about 40 miles per hour and then those winds will continue to gust on wednesday, the high on wednesday only 41 degrees. it's more than 10 degrees below normal and with those winds gusting more than 40 miles per hour, wind chills will be in the 30's. but with the high pressure we'll see plenty of sunshine on wednesday. it will be a dry day. so the call from accuweather for tonight, lots of clouds. mild night for march. 38 degrees in the cooler suburbs, about 45 degrees for center city. the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, 62 degrees the high for your saint patrick's day. again we reach that early in the day. then temperatures drop and the winds gust. wednesday loads of sunshine, 41 degrees. but with the winds wind chills in the 30's and on thursday, temperatures stay on the cool side 46 degrees, sun with some high clouds.
