where hannigan hit their minivan killing brother and sister miles and charlotte. the mother and father and sisters were also injured. he faced two counts of driving under the influence and several more charges stemming from the crash. the hannigan family including miles and charlotte were members of the pipe band. >> the pipe land was part of their lives and we wanted to represent that. >> in place of their injured parents bandmates like luke and mitch came to show their support. >> we need to be there for them now and hope that the justice system will take its course. >> the family is struggling, it's difficult, they lost everything in one brief moment. they are still recovering and trying to cope with what happened. >> formal arraignment was scheduled today and we reached

out to muir's attorney and he has no comment, he remains in jail he has not posted bond. >> annie thank you. a philadelphia woman is charged with concealing her daughter's death so she could continue collecting federal benefits on the child's behave. she was indicted yesterday and prosecutors say that her 3-year-old daughter died back in 2010 but allegedly lied to authorities several times and claimed the girl was still alive to receive social security payments for another four years and is said to have defrauded the government out of $27,000. two members of temple university football team charged with assault have been released on bail. hawkins and reddick surrendered yesterday, the charges stem from another fight with another student at an off campus party the alleged victim celebrated a

broken bone in the struggle. both posted $10,000 bail. passengers on a united airlines man had to tackle a man from washington to denver cell phone video shows the man being restrained as he ran through the cockpit and his behavior forced the plane to turn around after takeoff last evening. karen traver stz following the story live from washington. >> good afternoon rick, can you hear on the audio to air traffic control that the pilot said the cockpit was secure but asked to return so law enforcement officials could deal with this unruly passenger. >> a frightening incident on united airlines flight 1074. >> the pilot declared an emergency due to an unruly man

day goes on and it's breaking through a bit but man have the numbers soared. a southwesterly flow in advance of cold air and ahead of it 67 degrees in philadelphia and 68 in dover and 68 in millville. not quite so mild up north and some of these spots including reading and lancaster and wilmington have dropped from their highs already because the cold air is beginning to work its way into the west. you look at the wind profile you see that happening these reports have bumped the numbers up, and we bring the air from the west and bring it in and see the western areas begin to drop a bit. why is it getting cooler? if you look at the profile, earlier this morning we were pulling in air from down here and you can see where we are at 72 in richmond and 69 in washington and that is why it managed to get so mild and now with winds from the northwest,

the owner of a california wine vineyard are dead after a business dispute turned deadly it happened along a napa valley highway, police chased dahl until he turned the gun on himself. he accused the victim of defrauding him out of a million dollars and they discuss tropical disturbance in a conference call hours before the shooting. five female lacrosse members are suspended for threatening other members of team. the athletic director says they wrote threats including kill the freshman in a private text message chat room, another player saw the messages and turned them over to the coaches. they released a joint statement apologizing for their actions. a woman is apologizing after

david murphy is back now way closer look at the forecast. nice to see temperatures in the 60s. >> yes but not for much longer, we are nice and mild out there now. stormtracker 6 live double scan can you see we are dry as we look outside the action cam is along the schuylkill river i don't know why there isn't someone on the bench it's a gorgeous mid-day to get out there and take a stroll your temperature in philadelphia has zoomed all the way to 68 degrees winds from the west at 17 miles per hour, we'll talk about why that is not exactly good news. 66 in wilmington and 68 in dover, as i mentioned at the top of the half hour we have come down from our eyes in lancaster and reading and wilmington will drop soon the winds coming from the northwest are beginning to build and tapping into cooler air to the west and bring that

in and it takes the nice mid-day numbers and brings them down into the afternoon and evening, future tracker 6 shows despite the drop in temperatures the dry air has a chance of clearing us out nicely and fewer clouds than what we have right now. the winds are solid for the rest of the afternoon in fact pull more from the northwest as we go through 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00. they will be gusty too some could go up close to 40 miles per hour. a bluffery afternoon but while it is mild out there now numbers will drop through the rest of the afternoon. future tracker showing you by 6:00 we tl is a chance we are down from the mid-60s to the neighborhood of 50 degrees by 6:00 so a big drop coming and continues overnight. allentown your high is 58 degrees are you stuck on that beginning to fall from that with the gusty wind from the north-northwest.

down the shore we'll get up to 63 in atlantic city, right down by the water, over the next hour or so before the numbers start to drop, inland at the airport 67 degrees, and in philadelphia that current number of 67 is probably where we stop today with the wind starting to get blustery from the northwest. gusts as high as 40 miles per hour and cool as we move through the afternoon and then overnight the cold air continues to wing down from the great lakes we go down to 30 and you go out now and then tomorrow morning, you'll get a big shock to the system clear and windy and cold and blustery as well. for the evening commute, it looks like sun perhaps more than we got now. down to 51 by 5:30 and all the way down to the 40s, and continuing to drop, tomorrow as the frontal boundary is passing us we have a high of 43 but
