and light rainfall along the tip of south jersey and cape may, but i want to go in tighter for street level for southern sections of camden county and areas in southern burlington and also into northern sections of atlantic county you can see the lavender in speedwell, this is an indication of a heavy burst of snow in that region now through 5:00 this evening, this is when we expect the heaviest of that snow and precipitation to fall. snowfall so far sickleerville 2.5 inches and greaterford 2.1 and westchester 1.7 inches. and the winter weather advisory stays in affect until 6:00 this evening and we are tracking a wet snow down the i-95 corridor to interior sections of new jersey where the winter weather advisory will stay put. if you are out and about the

visibility is down to 2 miles in millville. as far as the temperatures, we are at the freezing mark or above for the philadelphia region for areas south and east. below the freezing mark for areas north and west. as far as the precipitation we are seeing for your friday travel and it looks to be slick and slushy the roads look to be mainly wet and the secondary roads have you slush to contend with and down in south jersey and delaware the roads are mainly wet, and then in the evening hours say hello to spring. we'll have the latest on the expected snowfall this afternoon in the full and exclusive accuweather forecast. >> thank you melissa. now lets switch to a live picture from delaware the action cam is at fifth and king streets in wilmington and del/dot treated the roads before the sun came up to make the

roads as safe as possible. and our team coverage continues in the western suburbs now where they see the heaviest snow now, "action news" reporter john rawlins joins us live from allentown. >> reporter: we are at the allentown rest stop, its the pavilion at the farmers market and out in the midst is the northeast extension and snow continues to fall here and we drove up from plymouth meeting and we drove up here about an hour ago. it's predicted to be a nuisance storm and that is a good description, this is the northeast extension north of quakertown there is accumulated snow on is the landscape but driving lanes are only wet and visibility is poor and road spray a complicating factor. at the rest stop south of allentown drivers from the poconos say the conditions were fair. >> it's starting to stick on the roads. >> it's turning to snow now but

north of here you had rain earlier? >> it was a mix. sleet. >> those coming from the west along i-78 report icing and trouble. >> it's horrible out that way, 78 was slushy and then ice people are driving too fast. >> so trouble? >> yes. >> you saw trucks off the road? >> right through the concrete barrier and sprayed concrete everywhere and they closed 78 in both directions. >> reporter: icy conditions both to the north and west. this is i-78 at the kutztown xits exit. and a contrast plowed into the center barrier closing the road for more than an hour, the road we understand is now reopened and it's one of many reports we have heard of icy conditions, for the most part on icy roads, not primary roads west of allentown.

a 75-year-old woman. it happened on murray street in the bustleton section of philadelphia just after 3:30 two masked men climbed through the window in the kitchen a husband and wife were inside and the woman was pepper sprayed. the bandits took several items from the home and fled. a gruesome discovery in west philadelphia a woman's burned body was found under a mattress at a boarding home on spruce street. police are still working to determine her exact cause of death, they are calling the victim a jane doe as they work to identify her. well, another teenage suspect is arrested in connection to a murder in overbrook, 15-year-old hamilton surrendered to police this morning, police say he was the trigger man in the shooting death of james stuhlman while

walking his dog last week. another teenager brandon smith was arrested yesterday for his involvemented and a third teenager, a 14-year-old is in custody on lesser charges. his name is not released. ten people are facing disorderly conduct charges for staging a protest and disrupting a community meeting last night. this was the scene at a town hall meeting in lawn crest, they were discussing ways to improve their neighborhood when they were interrupted by people throwing chairs and police officers they were angry that charges would not be filed in the case of tate brown when he was killed in a traffic stop. seth williams and commissioner charles ramsey released the names of the officers involved and ramsey declined citing the

a car seat company is facing a record fine, greco will pay $3 million for failing to report a safety defect in car seats they recalled the seats last year because the buckle could get stuck, greco accepts the fine and regrets falling short of government requirements and they will spend money on child car seat safety awareness. amazon is closer to delivering packages by drone. but there are conditions they must keep the drones below 400 feet and testing has to be done during day line hours. they will also provide updates to the federal government. and there could be hidden danger in popular wines it claims the wines contain arsenic in levels higher than acceptable

stormtracker 6 live double scan showing you we have got the snowfall across much of the delaware and lehigh valley and some snow around areas in south jersey, but light rainfall in cape may we'll go in tighter with street level and stormtracker 6 live double scan, and we have the heavier pocket of snow in burlington county and northern atlantic county and snow along the northern corridor and mount holly. there is a pocket of snow in the northwest suburbs, kutztown and quakertown we still have the snow and areas north and west of that 95 corridor it looks like the snow will stay put right through the evening hours no transition from snow to rain for those locations north and west of the city, right now in philadelphia, coming in at 33 degrees and the winds from the northeast coming in at 8 miles per hour and the dew point is falling. temperatures outside this

the city areas north and west, and a transition from snow to rain continues down across south jersey and by 5:00 you notice the heaviest of that precipitation exits from a west-east direction and conditions start to improve and clouds will clear and then spring will officially arrive, expected snowfall 1 to 3 inches for the city and rain for extreme south jersey and delaware 3 to 6 in lancaster and the poconos and most of that is on the grassy surfaces we are in march with a higher sun angle, it's heavy wet snow and temperatures are above freezing with the exceptions of northern and west and the side roads look to be slushy temperatures today in the 30s and dropping throughout the day, and on saturday, and by the way spring arrives at 6:45 this evening and we still have the snow that is
