>> good morning, it is 5:30, saturday march 21, here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." police in montgomery have details after a man is found dead in the street overnight. a machete wielding man terrorizes a busy new orleans and i want. new jersey police officer is under investigation after a deadly wrong-way crash. first though, chris sowers joins us with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast.

34. everybody else ask 32 degrees or below the freezing mark. there's the remnants of yesterday's snow pushing through long island and working out to sea. here's a cold front out to the west. wind will shift out of the southwest, look at this high. we're up to 55 degrees, tomorrow we slam the door shot and the cold returns. eva. >> new this morning a man was shot and killed on a street in pottstown, police in montgomery county are searching for the gunman. he died near the intersection of washington and beat streets. police are looking for the shooter as they try to figure out a motive for the shooting. there was frightening moments at new orleans' international airport when a machete-wielding man ran through security.

we have detail on how it all unfolded inside the busy terminal. >> reporter: police cars swarmed the terminal at louie armstrong international airport in new orleans. a man identified as 63-year-old richard white confronted an officer. >> he pulled out a can of wasp spray and sprayed it in the officer's face. coming in close contact with the individual with a machete that officer fired three times hitting the perpetrator. >> reporter: white was taken to the hospital where he was described as unresponsive. witnesses say it was pandemonium. >> i hear, pow i heard him shoot, i heard people screaming there was like so many cops coming by. >> reporter: several people

including a tsa officer suffered minor injuries. >> police say the off-duty police officer involved in a wrong-way crash posted a photo on instagram hours earlier of three shot glasses filled with alcohol. 17-year-old linden balanced police officer drove the -- lindenwald police officer drove wrong way on to the highway. a third officer and another person were killed. new jersey state police have identified two people killed in a fiery crash on the atlantic city, sean mcbride and gabrielle lynnes were driving in the westbound lanes when their car lost control and caught fire. the driver of a bmw who was outside ever his car checking a flat tire, he was hurt.

it was snowing at the time, but the cause of the crash has in anther been determined. the children of a comedian killed in a crash seriously injured tracy morgan received a settlement from wal-mart. james mcnair's children will get $10 million from the accident that killed the comedian. morgan suffered a traumatic brain injury. a south philadelphia business is turning to the internet in hopes of finding those responsible for causing $2,000 to jim's steaks. look at this video taken around 3:00 a.m. outside jim's steaks at 4th and south. you can see two men one with a short sleeved shirt and one with a cream colored sweater talking to each other. one bangs on the window. restaurant. then his front backs up charging

the tally means pennsylvania has recovered all the jobs lost in the recession. a young girl was reunited we are family last night thanks to the help of a good samaritan. the 8-year-old's mom who is a philadelphia police officer thought jade was supposed to be dropped off at her grandma's house yesterday but she was dropped off several blocks away. she went into a park where she was for an hour until a stranger got involved. >> it could be anybody who did not return her. >> the bus company said the bus was driven by a new driver who didn't know her usual drop off spot. pennsylvania governor tom

yesterday. many of us not impressed. many had to break out the winter coats and shovels an doggy sweaters once again after the several inches of snow fell. >> i woke up, i was like it's snowing? >> i'm not happy about this weather. it's no the a good first day of spring. ironically our cameras caught up with a girl named spring. she said she was stunned. one resident told us she went to four stores in search of rock salt, snow fell through the last hours of winter, this sign echoed the requests of many residents, make it stop. we talked to several people where i was yesterday, they were like, we didn't put away the snow shovels.

>> reporter: here's the good news with march snowstorms, usually the snow that falls in march doesn't last long. temperatures today we'll get you outside the temperature today will shoot up into the mid 50s, whatever snow you have on the front lawn will be long gone about 5 or 6:00 p.m. as that starts to melt. we have freezing drizzle across south jersey and black ice in parts of the area. it looks clear for the most partly again, you have to watch out for a few slick spots as temperatures are hovering close to freezing. double scan live not showing much of anything right now. we're seeing reports of patchy freezing drizzle. because of that, the winter weather advisory continues for all of new jersey for the freezing drizzle. 32 degrees the freezing mark for philadelphia. dewpoint, 27. winds are light out of the north at 8 miles. they will pick up later this afternoon. right now the barometer is

falling. remember the december? december was so unusually mild, christmas day 65. we saw .1 of an inch of snow during the months of december. january was not that bad 4.3. february, 10 march 12 inches. those months were extremely cold by average. it took a while but when winter got here, it came in. 32 for philadelphia. 32 in millville. trenton, 29. allentown, 30. reading, 30, most locations are sitting at the freezing mark or slightly below. be on the look out for the slick spots. as the sun comes up the numbers will climb. windchills mid 20s to low 30s. it feels like winter out there. here's the good news, the satellite and radar we're seeing holes in the clouds here, as we progress along over the
