because of a hot plate that was left on. blaze broke out at 12:30. a mother and her 8 children lived in the home. 7 of the children were trapped upstairs in their rooms. the victims ranged in age from 5 to 15 years old. >> it's difficult to find one child in a room during a search torched a house full of children that can't be revived i'm this will take its toll on our members for quite sometime. officials say the mother and oldest daughter were able to make it out of the home, but they are both in critical condition. there was no evidence of smoke detecters on the first or second floors. right now a tractor-trailer accident is jamming the new jersey turnpike in mantua township, gloucester county. the big rig partially overturned as you can see. it split open spilling its load over the median into the northbound lane. drivers heading toward mantua

expect lane closures in both directions. crews are working to clear all the wreckage. new this morning, a man was shot and killed on a street in pottstown. police in mccounty are searching -- in montgomery county are searching for the gunman. police are trying to figure out a motive in the shooting. frightening moments inside new orleans international airport, when a machete wielding man attacked tsa agents an passengers. >> reporter: police cars swarmed this terminal at louie armstrong international airport in new orleans. a man identified always 63-year-old richard white confronterred a tsa -- confronted a tsa officer. >> he pulled out a can of wasp spray and sprayed the officer in the face. >> reporter: white allegedly attacked two more agents, one with a machete.

tractor-trailer. two other off duty officers and 4th person were at a strip club. the driver and another officer were injured a third officer and another person were killed. he was shown as honor guard for robert wilson iii. a taxi jumped the curb in the bronx killing a man and injured two people. the victims were waiting for a bus. the taxi driver was taken foot hospital, as well. police have not said what caused the driver to lose control. new jersey state police have identified two people killed in a fiery crash on the atlantic city expressway. sean mcbride and gabrielle lynnes were driving in the westbound lanes yesterday afternoon in hamilton township when the car lost control and hit another vehicle, and then as you can see caught fire. the driver of the bmw outside of

this was not the first time the dog snapped. the animal control team of philadelphia was warned about the dog, dann cuellar reports. >> reporter: we were startled to hear from another family only days earlier the same dog whom they were fostering viciously attacked and injured the family dog and warned the agency not to put the dog up for adoption. >> the lady said he was great with kids and other dogs. >> reporter: this woman picked you mean the 2 1/2-year-old pitbull that was named dom. she was to provide him with foster care until he could get a permanent home. she took her dog chole to meet dom to see if they got along. they did. but the next day a terrible thing happened. >> he tried to get on top of my dog, my dog growled he didn't like it, he gripped on to her
