the heavier snow. boston has been ground zero all yearlong they will pick up two inches of snow as it stretches southwest and into long island, connecticut and rhode island. we're missing out on another snowstorm. not feeling like the end of march. 43 degrees we'll go mainly cloudy and breezy, flurries and sprinkles possible this afternoon. when i come back in ten minutes we'll talk about how long the cold shot lasts and the milder conditions that move in next week. thanks chris. we have the latest on our developing story the philadelphia fire marshal is on the scene of a four-alarm warehouse blaze trying to figure out what caused the building to go up in flames. a passer by in the city's hunting park section called in the fire.

crews arrived ascertain called for more help. fire officials say keeping firefighters safe was the priority. >> you have that amount of fire it's going to cause collapse at some point. we tried to get as much water on the fire. >> the fire was placed under control. firefighters remain at the warehouse battling any hot spots. the block long warehouse is vacant. there are no injuries. septa said service on the manayunk norristown rail is suspended. bus routes 33, 48 and 60 are detouring around the area. we'll have more details on the developing story coming up in the next half-hour. two men rushed to the hospital after a shooting in southwest philadelphia. the gunfire rang out after 11:00 p.m. on the 5500 block of elmwood avenue. two men were hit both taken to

penn presbyterian hospital where they were listed in stable condition. no arrests have been mailed. a show of support for one of boston's finest who is fighting for his life after being shot in the line of duty. john monahan was shot below the right eye. it happened after officers pulled over the car and the suspects opened fire. the 34-year-old is a former army ranger and served in iraq and honored at the white house as a top cop award winner. he is in critical condition. more than two dozen fellow officers came to the hospital to pray for him. police say the suspect was killed by other officers. an apparent bystander was shot, but not seriously hurt. a pennsylvania state police trooper remains hospitalized after being hit by his own car. it happened on interstate 8 # butler township, schuylkill county. officials say the trooper was helping a driver put out a car

fire when a woman lost control of the suv. the suv hit the troopers car and then hit the trooper and the driver he was helping. the trooper is in critical condition. the other driver was treated for minor injuries. no charges have been filed. there's another scandal involving students posting nude and semi nude pictures of female classmates on the internet. police are investigating. dann cuellar has the details. >> i mean this thing has spread all over. it's pretty crazy. >> reporter: students commenting on the scandal that rocked the north penn high school. the school district made the revelation that the matter was being investigated. several high school boys were involved. it originated as a group chat. they were posting pictures of their high school girl classmates and doing this on

multiple drop box accounts. drop box is an app that allows you to take all the items on your computer with you on mobile devices. >> it's all everybody ask talking about people are upset about it. >> reporter: other girls are upset for the sake of the victims. some started a web page calling for a walk out did you work 5th period on monday to show that they are outraged that the boys would do this and to insure that the school does not sweep it under the rug. how do you feel about that? >> i think it's a good idea. >> reporter: for its part, school district officials did not speak on camera, but issued a statement, it says in part -- now, a friend of the victim also tells -- victims tells us off

camera the girls are being exploited and dehumanized and she wanted us to say it like that. dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." two people are missing in an explosion blast in new york city. they are looking for a 23-year-old and 26-year-old. 22 people were hurt in the blast, four critically, investigators think it may have been caused when someone improperly tapped the gas line which had been locked after it failed an inspection. new information this morning about the co-pilot who deliberately crashed a germanwings plane into the french alps. a german hospital is denying reports it treated andreas lubitz for depression. but it confirms he was a patient

over the last two months. he was seen there two weeks before the crash that killed 150 people. prosecutor also say he appears -- prosecutors say he's to have hidden the evidence of the i illness from the airline. they say he may have been set off by a falling out with his girlfriend. the legal drama is over for amanda knox. italy supreme court overturned the murder conviction and knox said she is grateful to have her life back. >> reporter: once convicted to nearly 30 years in prison, amanda knox said she is relieved and grateful. >> i am incredibly grateful for what has happened, for the justice i received for the support i've had from everyone from my family, my friends to strangers to people like you you saved my life.

>> reporter: italy supreme court said knox and her former boyfriend are free to go. the case is now closed. >> we thought this was the only decision possible the acquittal from day one. we knew it was coming. >> reporter: in 20075 british student studying in italy was found half naked and dead inside an apartment she shared with knox an american woman studying abroad. an italian court found knox and her boyfriend guilty of murdering meredith the legal battles continued overturning their acquittals and finding them guilty once again. the judge sentenced her to 0 years in prison, now that has been returned.

meteorologist chris sowers is in the hot seat right now. >> reporter: not this weekend. some of us are seeing winter like snow showers, as well. we have snow showers in new castle county delaware, and salem county in south jersey. we're at 27 degrees in fleetwood and slatington. 33 in pottstown. 32 in saint davids and 35 in chester and center city. cinnaminson 36. glassboro, 36. a blustery 37 in gandys beach. winds whipping around in smyrna 35. woodbine, 39. we have a coastal storm that's rapidly intensifying about 150 miles east of atlantic city. as that continues to deepen, excuse me, the winds will pick up on the backside. that wind is out of the northwest unfortunately that will drive a cold air mass right into the heart of the delaware valley today. today's highs will top out in the upper 30s low 40s.
