the intersection of sanders lane and andrew drive. both the pilot and passenger were killed. >> vernon odom is live near the scene and joins us with the latest. the vernon. >> good evening, many questions linger here at the this hour in west goshen. was this a recreational weekend flight or up instructional session. no official words from authorities yet this tragedy occurred on a brisk, clear day for flying. >> authorities say this piper cherokee pa 2 crashed through intersection of sanders lane and andrew drive in west show shen less than 2 miles from the brandywine airport where the flight originated. two were killed, one the pilot. >> it was observed from the area that the plane took off from brandy win airport. shortly after taking off the plane sputtered and took a nosedive and came into the wodz behind us. >> the local fire department squink wished the fire. this man lives in apartment near

the crash scene. >> i heard a bang like a big bang. >> like a crash. >> all relevant agencies launched their official investigations keeping the media away from the scene so far. >> it's sad what these gentleman told me. i know pilots. i work from the airline. i know pilots that fly out of here. it's sad to hear that the people didn't make it. >> and the names of victims have not been released yet by the local police or the faa or ntsb. live in west goshen township, chester county, vernon odom, "channel 6 action news." >> thank you are vernon. 7 people are helped by the red cross after germantown caught fire earlier this morning and it happened 5 a.m. on the 200 block of east ashimmediate street. it took crews ten minutes to place the fire under control. but not before one man was injured. he was rushed to einstein for smoke inhalation and was in stable condition. no word what caused the fire.

>> just a week before easter a popular bakery in north philadelphia was heavily damaged by fire this morning. denise's delicacies opened 25 years ago and neighborhood favorite that draws big crowds every holiday. tonight the owner is trying to figure out how to pick up the pieces. "action news" reporter annie mccormick has more. >> firefighters responded to this early morning blaze in north philadelphia quickly and got the fire under control within an hour. but the damage left behind is too severe for the employees of denise's dell cassies to get back to work. >> it has not hit me yet but i'm getting a lot of phone calls and we have a great customer base, people love us. we love them. >> her business began in 1990 and established itself at north 2nd sweet spot. she has 26 employees. >> what happened over there? >> today cust werz were

philadelphia, annie mccormick, "channel 6 action news." >> devastating. also, in north philadelphia, an afternoon shooting left a map seriously injured. around 2:00 near the intersection of 9th and huntingdon streets the 32-year-old man was shot multiple times. he was rushed to temple hospital in stable condition. no arrests have been made. >> the investigation continues this evening into the fatal shooting of an off duty darby borough police officer inside hi home. loved ones are speaking out about a young man that date indicated his life to helping others. infectious smile who knew what he wanted to do with his life. >> he wanted to be a fireman he was a fireman and he wanted to be a police officer and became one and just that's something that is is really to me personally that's something that really inspired me. >> alvin reese is still coping with the loss. it was 4:30 p.m. yesterday when darby township police say the 6-year-old off duty officer was shot in the chest and in his fwlen olden hole. hudson's girlfriend was in the house. sources say she was immediately taken into custody. >> when i first heard aboutty thought something happened in the line of duty or something but to hear it was domestic dispute, that's really shocking to everyone. >> police say there were ongoing domestic problems and things were so bad, sources say it was hudson who recently got a protection from abuse order against his girlfriend. wanda reeves had known hudson since 2 years old. >> he was a nice, spirited young man, polite, respectful. i couldn't believe his life was ended so senselessly.
