good morning, it is 6:00 a.m., saturday, april 4. eva pilgrim is off i'm alicia vitarelli. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news," developing this hour, a pedestrian is killed in a hit-and-run in northern liberties and now police say they are questioning the driver. plus, we're learning more about the philadelphia woman who is allegedly tied to isis. what experts are saying about the terror group's impact in the u.s. the investigation continues today into what sparked the massive 6-alarm fire at a ge plant in kentucky. but first meteorologist chris sowers has a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. it's a holiday weekend people have a lot of the to get done today and the rain better be on

"action news" has learned that a suspected hit-and-run driver has turned herself in. the action cam was along the 600 block of hawthorne street? wissinoming after the suspect surrendered. police recovered a damaged white ford suv believed to be involved

in the wreck. it was outside club rockies in northern liberties last night. that's where a driver struck and killed a 24-year-old man crossing the street. a couple safely escaped the kensington fire overnight. they live above isaac's mini mart on cambria street. it caught fire before 4:00 a.m. the preliminary cause of the fire appears to be electrical, but a fire marshal investigates. we're learning about the details of a philadelphia woman accused of trying to join isis. keonna thomas had every intention of providing money resources and herself to the terror group. dann cuellar has more on the investigation. >> reporter: american flags, the first thing you see of keonna thomas in the 800 block of north 10th street. the feds say the 30-year-old who called herself the young lie

oh -- lionness claimed allegiance to isis. the fbi raided the home after she allegedly bought a ticket to spain researched travel routes to syria and turkey. the complaint allegation when she was asked if she wanted to be a martyr, she replied that would be amazing a girl can only wish. she wrote if we knew the realities we would all be joining to your brothers in the front lines. yesterday two women from queens new york were in court on charges they intended to set off bombs in the u.s. >> we're seeing now really, on a regular basis arrests last week and upwards of 30 or so arrests of individuals in the united states and what it means is that isis is having an

impact. >> reporter: thomas' mother had no comment to reporters. the feds say the suspect posted these isis propaganda videos on her twitter account. she is being held without bail until her next court appearance next wednesday. >> on wednesday we'll be back in court for a detention hearing and preliminary hearing. thomas is charged with providing support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization. if she is convicted on these charges she could face up to 15 years in the federal prison. dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> new jersey state police say human remains found earlier this week have been identified as a pemberton township woman whose been missing for almost a decade. 36-year-old stacy grairt was last -- grader was last -- grate err was last seen in 2006.

involving the saint joseph's university softball team. sources tells freshmen members of the softball team have been forced to undergo haying for sometime. chad perdelli has the latest from the campus in wynnfield. >> reporter: although i don't know any of the details, i have to say hazing is unacceptable. >> surprising because i have not heard of any other hazing incidents here. it's a big deal to hear about it. >> reporter: that was the recreation from students and fellow athletes on saint st. joe's campus. this is as the university launched an internal investigation into the hazing. sources say freshmen players were forced to consume alcohol and perform sexual acts and do other act that are too graphic to all here. jake will is a freshman lacrosse

we're shooting for a high of 56 degrees. as we look ahead easter sunday looks pretty nice. easter mostly sunny clouds in the afternoon hours big story next week the unsettled weather returning several days of rain and wind, does not look pretty, i'll have the details when i come back in ten minutes. we're following breaking news this morning several people were taken to the hospital after they were assaulted by a large crowd in south philadelphia. the action cam in the 14 hurn block of south front street after midnight, they began receiving calls about fights in the area. so we're told that a crowd of as as many as 60 people left a private party at the second street shooters clubhouse. while walking the crowd encountered people at three different locations and began assaulting the people. is as many as 6 people were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. at this point no arrests have

been made but police are he can whiching security cameras. friends and family will gather this morning tolls goodbye to a police officer who was gunned down in his own home. mark hudson was shot last saturday inside his glenolden home. authorities say he was trying to break up with his girl friend when she shot and killed him. finch faces charge including first and third degree murder. a woman from spring garden cooed -- accused of trying to join isis is in jail awaiting a court hearing. she purchased a plane ticket and planning to travel to syria for a possible suicide mission. stranded in the streets. the devastating floods are to blame for at least two deaths. this is what it looks like near the campus of the university of louisville. some college buildings had their ground floors evacuated. louisville reported 175 water rescues. in another partly of kentucky the flood -- another part of kentucky floodwaters stranded students on a school bus but nobody was hurt. the search continues for a mother and child after they were swept into a flooded creek. happening today gay rights activists and their supporters will rally at the final four in i understand annapolis calling for -- indianapolis calling for a state law that bans discrimination based on on gern or sexual -- gender or sexual

to save his snowman. he created a facebook page asking for people for snow donations or snow nations as we is calling them. and guess what, people are responding. >> at first people didn't take it seriously. but in the last few days we had a couple of from the hamptons stop by with a cooler full of snow. mike's ten-year-old daughter plans to save a snowball put it in the freezer to build a snowman again next year. they might want to call elsa. she might be be able to help out with that. spring might arrive apt some point. i'm surprised there's snow up there. there's the view of the philadelphia center city skyline.

it's mild here, we started out in the 60s in some areas the cold front is pulling through. the numbers will cool down a little bit, it will be a mild day, but not as warm as yesterday. we'll have thick overcast that will thin out in the next time couple of hours. storm tracker 6 live double scan there's all that's left. most of the moisture is east. garden state parkway. surf city stretching southward into atlantic city. light rain, the roads are damp, but we'll see drying taking place over the next couple of hours. 50 degrees in philadelphia. dewpoint, 41. winds 18 miles per hour, but the gusts are 30 miles per hour. some locations in south jersey are closer to 40 miles per hour right now. 48 degrees in allentown. 37 in the poconos. 52 for philadelphia. wilmington, 51. dover, 55 and sea isle city, 56. you can see the cooler air starting to move in from the northwest riding a gusty breeze

anywhere from 30 to 35 miles per hour. these are current wind speeds. 38 in the poconos. 35 for philadelphia and dover. atlantic city at the airport 32 miles per hour and again that will be the trend all day long, we'll see a lot of sunshine, but a strong, gusty breeze. you can see the clouds thinning out west of philadelphia. getting into the shan shannondoah valley south of the mason dixon line. we'll see this as the storm system pulls way. there were showers arena -- and thunderstorms that developed while most of us were asleep. there's high pressure behind that and that means today looks good and tomorrow and monday. after that it goes downhill. i'll talk about that in a second. gusty wheezes -- breezes out of the west northwest. easter morning 47 degrees by
