>> good morning, it is 7:00 a.m. this saturday, april 4. eva is off i'm alicia vitarelli. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." developing this hour, a pedestrian is killed in a hit-and-run in northern liberties and police now say they are questioning the driver. plus, we're learning more built philadelphia woman who allegedly tried to join isis, what experts are saying about the terror group's impact in the u.s. the investigation continues today into what sparked this massive 6-alarm fire at a ge plant in kentucky. but first we'll go outside to meteorologist chris sowers with a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. it's a holiday weekend and chris, the rain is still coming down or we're drying down a bit out there. >> reporter: not that bad, you have to batten down the

and 6abc.com for updates. and we are following this developing story this morning in philadelphia. we have an exclusive update for you, "action news" has just learned that a suspected hit-and-run driver has turned herself in. the action cam was along the 6,000 block of hawthorne street in wissinoming after the suspect surrendered. police recovered a damaged white ford suv believed to be involved in the wreck. it was outside the club roxie in northern liberties last night where a 24-year-old man was struck and killed in the street. a couple safely escaped a kensington fire overnight. they love above isaac's mini mart. the preliminary cause of the fire appears to be electrical, but a fire marshal continues to investigate. we're learning new details built philadelphia woman accused

of trying to join isis. federal prosecutors say keonna thomas had every intention of providing money and resources and and herself to the terror group. >> reporter: american flags, the first thing you see at the home of the keonna thomas. the feds say the 30-year-old was proclaiming her loyalty to isis. she wore full muslim garb concealing her face. "action news" was there as fbi agents raided her home. she researched travel routes to syria via turkey using the same routes so many foreigners have used. the complaint alleged when she was asked if she wanted to be a martyr, she replied that would be amazing a girl can only

allegation of the st. joe's university softball team. sources say freshmen members of the softball team have been forced undergo hazing for sometime. >> although i don't know any of the details, i have to say that hazing is unacceptable. >> surprising because i have not heard of any other hazing incidents here. it's a big deal to hear about it. >> reporter: that was the recreation from students and fellow athletes on the st. joe's university campus. the's -- the women's softball team played while they investigated a hazing. freshmen were forced to consume alcohol and lap dances and other acts that were too graphic to outline here. >> they don't want anything

like that. >> reporter: players were given written instructions in a note from upper classmen essentially telling them this is deliverance week that the time has come to show respect and time to realize their place if they don't follow the instructions there will be dire consequences. the school released a limited statement that read in part while the investigation is on going, remedal actions have been taken to insure the welfare and educational environment for all involved. >> i'm not tolerant with it. i don't think it's acceptable means of initiation. i have not experienced it. >> reporter: the spokesperson for the university said if the allegations approve to be true, those responsible will be held accountable. in wynnfield, chad perdelli channel 6 "action news." fire officials in kentucky are still on the scene of a smoldering warehouse fire. it could be days before all the flames are completely out. the sprawling manufacturing

the area. we're told a crowd as many as 60 people left a private party at the second street shooters clubhouse. while walking the crowd encountered people at three different locations and began assaulting those people. as many as 6 people were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. at this point no arrests have been made, but police are checking security cameras. family, friends and colleagues will be gathering to say goodbye to a darby borough police officer who was gunned down in his own home. services for officer mark hudson will be held at saint joseph's church in collingdale. a viewing gets underway with a funeral to follow. the 26-year-old was shot inside his glenolden home. authorities say he was trying to break up with his girlfriend when she shot and killed him. finch faces charges including first and third degree murder. a woman from spring garden accused of trying to join isis is in prison awaiting her next

court hearing on wednesday. keonna thomas purchased a plane ticket planning to travel to syria for a possible suicide mission. only "action news" was there when fbi agents raided her home preventing her from leaving the u.s., thomas is the third american this week accused of having ties to terror. >> we're seeing on a regular basis arrests last week and up to 30 or so arrests of individuals in the united states and what it means is that isis is having an impact. >> investigators also found isis propaganda on thomas' twitter account. if convicted she faces up to 15 years in prison. philadelphia police are sending out a pretty bold and clear message to drug dealers and their buyers. stay out or get ratted out. before that warning 60 drug suspects were arrested 24 of their vehicles hauled away, all rounded up in a ten block
