jersey man dies in police custody, now there is new video of the controversial arrest that is next. this is the the way it looked tonight as police converged on the scene of the shooting, right on the schuylkill expressway in west conshohocken. the gun fire came from the back seat of a car, the target the driver.

the victim, a father, the suspect, his son. thousands of drivers had to wait hours for the scene to clear. it the is tuesday night and the big story on "action news" tonight is shooting on route 76. "action news" reporter dann cuellar is live at the belmount barracks of the state police dann. >> reporter: jim, state police investigators still trying to learn why a 22-year old man shot his father, who was driving the car at the time risking a catastrophe on the schuylkill expressway westbound. tonight, he is facing a slew of charges. pennsylvania state police say the incident happened at 5:45 on the schuylkill expressway, westbound at mile marker 332 near spring garden street in west conshohocken. police say a car, 2010 buick le cross was occupied by three family members. a father a 42 man from philadelphia, was driving when his 22-year old son was who was sitting in the back seat shot him in the back of the

head. miraculously the car came to a stop without hitting any other vehicles during the rush hour. paramedics were passing by, tended to the victim and transported him to penn presbyterian where he is reportedly in critical but stable condition. traffic on the expressway on both side was a nightmare and was jammed for miles, and police conducted their investigation. the 22-year old was taken to custody, weapon was recovered. vehicle was taken to state police barracks in belmont for further investigation. now, police have been interviewing family members to learn what sparked the shooting in the first place. again, the the four two-year old victim a philadelphia a man who mass not been identified remains in critical but stable condition. his 22-year old sonnies facing a slew of charges as we speak. we're live at belmont barracks of the state the police, i'm dann cuellar for channel six a "action news". >> thanks, dann. new video of the white police officer shooting a black man in the back has shocked the nation and after

seeing the recording today authorities in south carolina have charged the officer with murder. the the raw video is difficult to watch. we have paused it partway through the shooting. fifty year-old walter scott was running away when north charleston patrolman michael slater fired eight times. authorities say that the officer had already hit scott with a stun gun after scotties down, officer slater places him in handcuffs. this all started with a traffic stop saturday officer slater then reportedly that scott tried to take his taser but officials say the video is evidence of unjustified deadly force. >> when you are wrong you are wrong. if you make a bad decision don't care if you are behind the shield or just a citizens on the street, you have to live by that decision. >> his attorney dropped him as
