delaware county community. it has seen one leader refuse to leave the office and the mayor considering a state of emergency. that's >> it was a brazen and savage attack. police want you to look at this surveillance video of 7 people storming out of a van and attacking a homeless man at a gas station.

it happened in the olney section of philadelphia and police are still trying to track down five suspects. >> friday night and the big story on "action news" tonight is the latest on a brutal gas station attack. while two women are in custody three women and two men are still at large. and "action news" reporter dann cuellar is live at northwest detectives and dann, you have the full story. >> that's right, jim, police say this all began earlier when a 10-year-old went home and told his mom a homeless man at the gas station hit him as they argued over who would pump customer's gas over spare change. surveillance shows no evidence the 51-year-old ever hit the kid the mother and her group went back in the station and pummeled the guy. >> police say it was tuesday night around 7:00 a homeless man standing outside a sunoco station in the 5300 block of north fifth and honda odyssey pulls up 7 people jump out of the man and andly attack the man. they punch and kick him

pummeling him to the ground. the boy's mother repeatedly struck the man open the head it rocking chair leg until it broke. as he lay on the ground others struck him with hammers and others and laid unconscious bleeding from the head. from they left the boy they took the boy over to the victim to show them what they did to him. >> they're not sure he'll make it or not it's traumatic. >> one of the assailants shar ina akeem maceed one of her cohorts and drove to einstein to have her eyes flushed. they were not banking on police who had seen the video being there working on the case. >> further investigation revealed these individuals were involved in the assault on this man. >> arrested were gilliland and joakiem of lawrence avenue we took the video back to the gas station to see if people could identify the others. >> oh, man, that's messed up. >> oh, man that's -- >> oh, man. >> 7 people.

boy. they expect even more arrests and tips identified several more additional people of interest. >> philadelphia police investigating an incidents involving one of their own tonight. a police cruiser struck a 4-year-old boy in mayfair. this happened 8:00 in the 6300 block of leonard treated. the young boy is being treated at st. christopher's hospital. >> tonight, a long time employee of the delaware county d.a. is under arrest for allegedly stealing $100,000 from the office. administration mayor lunch stole over 100,000 and spent money on tickets and sporting aevents. those are photos from the face back page that aided in investigation. the da says lynch didn't go for the cheap seats. >> she sat in the front row of the flyers game. and those flyers tickets were purchased on stubhub. and on stubhub i believe the purchase price of those flyers tickets each was approximately $600. >> ranch was 29 year employee of the das office and money allegedly stolen was not taxpayer dollars but rather forfeited funds basically money seesed from drug dealers and used to help pay for law enforcement. the da says she forged and altered documents to conceal her crimes. >> she has admitted stealing the proceeds from the forfeited account. >> investigators say a search of her home uncovered bob dillon and taylor swift concert tickets

tonight and cecily was tracking developments and collecting storm chaser video, cecily. >> preliminary investigation shows that this tornado that struck the community of fairfax dale 80 miles west of chicago is ef 4 tornado. second most powerful category. they stayed on ground 50 miles and didn't hop around and winds 180 to 200 miles an hour and path estimated half mile wide. video of it very dramatic. this is what is known as a wedge tornado. the width of it is just as wide as it is tall and with winds like this you really cannot escape the path of the tornado. you can actually tople it over semis as you see there and it can also tople over airplanes and this community only 150 people and damage today shows that about 25% of this town was flattened and when you have winds like that you can not actually escape in a building. winds like that will really

demolish even well made buildings so you have to get underground to escape a tornado like that and unfortunately two people were not able to do that and were killed. i want to show you this was all part of the cold front that swept through here tonight. most areas clouds. we got clipped with thunderstorms in parts of cape may yount i and this now moved off the coast and get ready for a great weekend here. we'll talk about that in the full accuweather forecast. >> thank you cecily. authorities are trying to find out what sparked a deadly plays today in newark, delaware. the fire erupted 10:00 this morning at' up park apartments. one woman was found dead. two other people injured. including a woman that broke both ankles as she jumped from the building. >> power struggle tonight in atlantic city. just days after the revel casino sale was finalized. city administration is now finding the resort because it has no electricity. and the problem, the building's
