what will be a beautiful weekend. meteorologist chris sowers joins us with a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. i wasn't sure this nice weather was going to roll in yesterday. >> reporter: i wasn't sure we would see the sun again. let's get you outside, what a miserable week. we had four straight days of complete cloud cover and drizzle and scattered showers throughout the day and now we're looking at skies starting to clear a little bit, the cool breeze will rush in during the late morning hours, it will provide us with a nice looking day. 50 degrees in philadelphia. trenton showing 50. beach haven on the boardwalk in atlantic city, 50 degrees, reading, 49. lancaster, 50. dover the warm spot at 53. in the poconos 43 degrees, winds speeds generally light out of the southwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour. that will be the only issue out there today. once we get past this cloud cover we should get out of here over the next couple of hours wall-to-wall sunshine from that point on, it will be a chilly

breeze out of the northwest temperatures climb into the 60s, it feels cooler than that thanks to the wind. lots of sunshine, 59 degrees, 3:00 p.m., 60 degrees, the sun will set at 7:30. again we're expecting a high of 62. there's more rain unfortunately in the seven-day forecast, when i see you in ten minutes i'll go over the timing with future tracker 6. eva. >> developing right now a pedestrian was seriously hurt by a car that careened out of control following an accident in east oak lane. the two cars collided on north broad at 4:45 a.m. the force of the collision sent a car into a man in his 60s he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. the man who was driving the striking car was taken to the hospital with chest pains following the accident. the woman driving the other car is okay.

broad street is closed right now while police investigate. philadelphia need your help tracking down the people involved in a brutal attack at a gas station. police have surveillance video that shows seven people viciously attacking a homeless man, two women are in custody. the search continues for the others involved. dann cuellar has the details. >> reporter: police say this began earlier when a 10-year-old boy went home and told his mom that a homeless man hit him over who was going to pump customer's gas for spare change. although surveillance video shows no evidence that the man ever hit the kid. the group went back to the station and pummeled the guy. the homeless man is at 5300 block of north 5th. the group puzzle up and brutally attack the man.

the boy's mother struck the man on the head with a rocking chair leg until it broke. as he lay on the ground others struck him with hammer it is and other objects. one of the woman took the boy over to see the victim to see what they did to him. >> we're not sure he is going to make it or not. it's tragic. >> reporter: always it turns out, one of the assailants maced one of her cohorts and decided to drive to the medical center to have their eyes flushed. the individuals were involved in the assault on the male. arrested were two women. we took the video back to the gas station to see if people could identify the others. >> that's messed up. seven people. look at that he has a hammer.

>> that's unimaginable. it's crazy. >> they don't have no respect for nobody. >> unfortunately that's how we doing now in the gety, though respect for people. >> police have recovered the car in question they are questioning the others hoping to learn the identity of five others involved. if you have information on their identities you're asked to call police. at northwest detectives, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> three people all minors have been arrested in the brutal beating of two new jersey sisters that was caught on tape. we showed this video of the attack at greg grant park. police say three people, two teenage girls and 12-year-old boy have been arrested and charged in the attack. officials have identified others in the video and expect to make more arrests. philadelphia police are

investigating an incident involving one of their own. a police cruiser hit a boy in the mayfair connection on the 6300 block of leonard street. the boy is being treated at saint christopher's hospital for children. residents in fairdale, ill ill -- i illinois will return home. the tornado was a half mile wide and stayed on the ground for 20 miles per hour. >> our neighbor across the way his house was hardly damaged and we're looking at more and you look over there there's nothing. it's leveled. >> as i opened the door to the back of the house, it was as if somebody had a giant vacuum cleaner and trying to as you can the air out took my breath away i slammed the door and took off into the basement. >> the massive tornado that hit

the town spun off into two tornados they traveled across at least 50 miles. delaware fire officials are looking at what sparked a deadly blaze in newark. it happened on the 600 block of old capital trail. one woman was dead after becoming trapped inside. one woman broke both anchorles anchorles -- ankles jumping from the building. revel is being find because it has no electricity. the fire sprigs systems are not working. this stems from a contract fight between glen straub and the power plant that cut off juice. straub's company is working to get portable generators to the site and power back online. until then they will be fined

$5,000 a day. colwyn manager took a dramatic stand by locking herself inside the office hours after the council took a vote to fire her. kenneth moten has more on the political firestorm. >> reporter: there's a tough workweek and there's the one that manager brown had. brown locked herself up in the office after a political gamesmanship that led to a council to fire her which led one employee left in the building. the mayor said he is considering declaring a state of emergency. >> people elected us to do a job. not to see this borough get sinked again. >> reporter: the embattled borough manager used tactics

used before. this time brown won't exit because she is protecting financial records. she has alleged past and present council members have misused taxpayer dollars. she accused the leader of the council for extortion. >> things in colwyn got to change. the state said two things cut spending and stop the nonsense at the meeting. that's what we're trying to told. >> reporter: delaware county detectives seized boxes of records. the district attorney said he is aware of many issues with colwyn. they are still under investigation. brown has a message for the da. >> please hurry up and do what needs to be done. >> reporter: monday they expect to have a closed session to discuss the manager position, brown shid said she'll be there
