times. four people were taken to the hospital. police have closed two northbound lanes in newark while they investigate this wreck. new overnight a man was hit by a car on broad street in north philadelphia. a toyota and mercedes collided in the 6000 block of north broad. the impact sent the toyota careening into the man on to the sidewalk. the man and the driver of the toyota were taken to einstein medical center. the woman driving the suv is okay. broad street north was closed for the investigation. it is reopened. at this point no word who is to blame. new this morning, an suv rolled over on the schuylkill expressway near city avenue. police say the driver was drunk. "action news" was there as pennsylvania state police troopers roferred a flask of -- recovered a flask of alcohol from the suv. the driver is okay, but he faces

a dui charge. funeral services are being held today for walter scott the black man who was gunned down while running from a white police officer in south carolina. scott was pulled over for driving with a broken taillight. police and attorney for slager say scott was shot during a tussal over the gun. but video recorded by a witness shows slager firing 8 shots at scott as he tried to runaway. slager has been fired and charge with murder. four people in their 70s and # -- 80s have been found dead from a carbon monoxide poisoning. the oldest victim was found next to a running car in the garage. the death comes on the heals of our carbon monoxide exposures that killed ten people on the

eastern seaboard. a long time employee of the delaware county da office has been charged with stealing $100,000 from the office. mary lynch sure rendered yesterday. chad perdelli has the details. >> this is a case of betrayal. >> reporter: delaware county attorney general jack whalan said mary lynch stole $100,000 over two years buying tickets to concerts and sporting events. these are photos from her facebook page that aided in the investigation. >> she salt in the front row of the flyers game and these flyers tickets were purchased on stub hub, when i believe the purchase price each was approximately # hundred dollars. lynch was a 29 year employee of the da's office, the money stolen was forfeited funds

money seized from drug dealers and used to help pay for law enforcement. she forged and altered documents to conceal the crime. investigators say a search of the home uncovered bob dylan and taylor swift concert tickets and roughly $60,000 in cash which she claims is her boyfriends. the attorney general's office and private auditor reviews the account annually but they did not uncover the alleged crimes. >> mary is providing the information, so she is manipulating. >> reporter: mary lynch has been fired and finishes convicted the da said she'll lose her pension and have to repay all the money. in media chad perdelli channel 6 "action news." >> a north jersey teacher is in trouble after she asked her

your help tracking down the people involved in a brutal attack at a gas station. surveil evens video shows seven people viciously attacking a homeless man. two women are in custody and the search continues for the others involved. dann cuellar has the details. >> reporter: police say this began earlier when a 10-year-old boy went home and told his mom a homeless man at the gas station hit him as they argued who was going to pump customer's gas for spare change. surveillance footage shows no evidence that the 5 #-year-old ever hit the kid the mother and the group went to the gas station and pummeled the guy. police say it was tuesday night around 7:00 p.m. a homeless man is standings outside a gas station. honda pulls up, 7 people jump out of the van they attack the man, kick and punch him. the boy's mother repeatedly struck the man on the head with a rocking chair leg until it

broke. others struck him with hammers and objects. before they left one of the women took the boy over to see the victim and see what they did to him. >> the male is in critical condition, we're not sure he will make it or not. it is very tragic. >> reporter: one of the assailants maced one of other cohorts and decided to drive to einstein to have her eyes flushed. the police were there working on the case. >> further investigation revealed they say individuals were involved in the assault. >> reporter: two were arrested we took the video back to the gas station to see if people could identify the others. >> oh,man, that's messed up. >> that's messed up. >> seven people. look that lady has a hammer. that's messed up. >> that's unimaginable. that's crazy. it's sad. >> unfortunately that's become

boy in the mayfair section. this happened at 8:00 p.m. on the 6300 block of leonard street. the boy is being treated at st. christopher's hospital for children. we're told his injuries are serious, but not life threatening. in delaware, fire officials are looking into what sparked a deadly blaze in newark. it happened on the 600 block of old capitol trail. one woman was found dead after being trapped inside. two others were hurt including a woman who broke both ankles as she jumped from the buildings. residents of i illinois will return home after a tornado leveled the town. two people died in the destruction. the town was evacuated because the twister cut electricity. the twister was half mile wild and stayed on the ground for 15

the listeria. >> reporter: listeria is a bacteria and in most caseses it won't affect healthy people, but could cause life threatening illness for some people. >> people who are very young or old or compromised immune system like if you're a cancer patient or pregnant, because they are more at at risk. >> reporter: it's spread by eating contaminated food. uncooked foods are most at risk. there's no evidence that it made anyone sick, but 8 people in texas and kansas got sick by bluebell ice cream contaminated with listeria. out of the 8, 3 died. now it seems like it could have been contaminated several years ago. they have expanded the recalls
