the news, an accident injures two students on their way to school in delaware and chris christie considers a potential run for president. >> and the big story is the search for a hit and run driver that kill aid 4-year-old boy, police think a woman was behind the wheel of a black ford edge when she struck the child last night. officials have offered a $25,000 reward for information that leads to her arrest. annie mccormick is live with more. >> reporter: the young victim lived in the block behind me with his siblingses and his mom. neighbors are feeling the impact of his death. they do not believe that the driver was impaired at the time and if she had stopped she would not have faced charges.

police came out to the scene working to find this female driver. >> our accident team is working on it. the person should have stopped but we'll keep looking until that person turns themselves in. the 2011 to 2015 edge looks similar to this, what is unique is that it has a strip of chrome running from the windows about an inch long, under the windows and the front of the vehicle had no place to hold a license plate to it's nice and smooth. >> the video is too graphic to show in its entirety he darts into the street from two parked cars, police do not believe the driver saw him and did swerve. the 4-year-old was sent flying down the road and he died later

west kensington, they believe the suspect's car has significant front end damage. there say reward now for this case. john rawlins will have a live report at 12:30. a major construction project began on the vine street expressway it began at midnight, and is expected to take four years all the bridges will be replaced. they were built in the 60s and they need to be torn down and rebuilt. it will take place with a break in september when pope francis visits the city for the meeting of families. we have a list of suggested detours to help you get around. >> turning to accuweather cloudy skies and showers have taken over today and sky 6 here we go looking live over penn's landing a dreary afternoon and the rain is winding down and the wet weather is lingering over

the jersey shore and meteorologist, david murphy is standing by with stormtracker 6 live double scan radar. >> the rain is lingering over much of the south jersey and delaware, but philadelphia is beginning to finally get on the other side of this. this started in the northeast at 4:30 this morning and we watched it slowly descend and the northern suburbs are not done. there is rain working its way into south jersey and it's a damp afternoon for areas south of philadelphia as we go out wider, we see the rain out to the west and some of this is highlighted in shades of yellow and read every now and then than is heavy precipitation that may at times try to clip south jersey and delaware and there is an outside chance over the next six hours or so you get a downpour working there. 67 in philadelphia and we are looking at winds coming out of south trying to push up out of the city and once they do we'll

crashed on their way to high school on newport road both were taken to christiana hospital, they are expected to survive, police closed newport road while repairs were being made. this is the scene in a new jersey neighborhood after a tanker truck slammed into cars in someone's driveway, it turned over on a residential street in union county and landed on top of one vehicle and push aid bmw into one home. tow trucks were called in to remove tractor trailer wreckage and nobody was hurt. a plane took off way baggage handler trapped in the luggage hold. it had to turn back when passengers heard screaming and pounding below them.

marcy gonzales is live from new york with more. >> reporter: rick, as colleagues say they noticed he was missing and they tried calling and they assumed he had gone home for the day but never imagined he would become an accidental stow away. that is the sound of a man waking up from an untimely nap. the man started yelling for help and we started yelling to the flight attendant and passengers heard the banging and screaming coming from their feet. just as alaska airlines flight took off from seattle last week. >> we have a noise from the baggage compartment. >> a contract worker for the airline that was loading baggage when he fell asleep on the job. >> a u.s. marshal emerged and started yelling real loud into the ground.

meteorologist, david murphy is here now with a closer look at the soggy forecast it is april after all. >> today is the soggy one and we get recovery. stormtracker 6 live double scan shows you we have rain across the southern half of the region if we go in tight we have shifted to the south and pushed south of the delaware river around philadelphia, medford lakes is the next spot about to give that up. wilmington still wet and chester county with the last of the sprinkles, some of that clipping philadelphia and the move is to the south and the former south you move towards the delaware bay just a little bit of yellow and the chance of steadier rain coming in across areas from smyrna south through millville and cape may county and southern atlantic county in the afternoon. as we look outside on the action cam, we were down the shore looking kind of dank and gray as

the action cam shows the condition there's. 57 in philadelphia and the winds out of the north at 6, we hope we will get a southerly draw, a little later in the afternoon, areas south of philadelphia, millville and dover have bumped up into the 60s, having a hard time achieve that in philadelphia, driving down from the north in just a bit there they are at future tracker 6, kind of hope be to get a southerly flow. by 3:00 we are looking at continuation of that rain to the south, maybe a couple of light sprinkles or showers close to philadelphia and heavier rain possible at times the farther south you go south of atlantic city and millville and cape may county and just below dover or dover at times could see steady rainfall at times.

and then 6:00, areas of millville and atlantic city seeing significant rain, and by 6:00 we see additional drying over south jersey and this all gets off the coast by 8:30 or 9:00 tonight, by 10:30 and a couple of sprinkles well south that adam and cecily will show you on stormtracker 6 live double scan. we may be undershooting this in philadelphia and wet roads and nuisance rain and now trying to dry out. the further south to south jersey and delaware the better chance of significant rain and ponding and puddling on roadways especially if we get the heavier cells. if lehigh valley you are probably much done with the rain and 66 degrees later on and down the shore staying damp and wet, a high of 64 degrees, beneath the cloudy wet skies and

philadelphia if we can get that rain farther to the south and get a nudge out of the south winds for just a little bit any way we'll achieve the high of 65 degrees, but we need to get farther away from the rain for that to happen. up into the 60s is a good bet 48 is the overnight low cloudy and cooler and we are starting to see breaks as we look at the evening commute, looking at the cool side and dry side with temperatures falling from the mid to low 60s with cool conditions and it's drier for the commute. the accuweather forecast showers beginning to recede to the south, and tomorrow is a great day partly sunny and 68. and friday lots of clouds and 66 and a spotty shower can't be ruled out and saturday we are improving the forecast a mix of clouds and sun and a high up over 70 and pretty nice on

shows the new owner making good on promises. and now the details on the search for suspects in two separate hit and run incidents in philadelphia. one left a 4-year-old child dead, more on that in a minute. but first to the hit and run that landed a mother and 2-year-old son in the hospital the pair was hit shortly before 7:00 last nirt at the corner of lehigh after new the driver sped off. this morning officials released more information on a $10,000 we ward as they continue to search for a suspect. john rawlins is live now with the latest. >> reporter: hi rick the police are asking for the public's help here they don't have as much information in the west kensington incident as they do in the north kensington incidence.
