nicetown section. a tip call brought police to back alley in fern rock. you can see the front end of the suv is damaged. it has been towed to the city's impound lot while police investigate. they are figure out if this was the same vehicle used to hit deedee spence. police say she was hit outside her home by a romantic rival. walter perez spoke with distraught friends and family members abbey have more. >> reporter: family and friends of 24-year-old deedee spence say they cannot believe the circumstances that ended with dd in the hospital with critical injuries. >> she ran her over. she ran her over. >> reporter: and the same friends and family know who did it. the woman identified as precious were employed in -- embroiled in a

bitter dispute over a man they both dated. the woman waited for dd to come out of the house. they can hear the whole thing unfold. >> i heard a car rev up. i heard a bunch of people screaming. the suspect drove up on sidewalk and ran her over leaving her unconscious and badly injured. the video shows the suv with front end damage back up and drive away. dd's mother accompanied her daughter in the ambulance she left a pot on the stove cooking and the house burned down. >> the house burned down, so now she has nothing now she has nothing. this a catastrophe.

>> reporter: the victim did undergo surgery and loss her leg. anyone with information call police, walter perez channel 6 "action news." >> new this morning three people including a firefighter had to be taken to the hospital after an apartment fire in northeast philadelphia. the blaze broke out at the green terrace apartments at the 2200 block of tremont street. crews had to rescue a father an son from a balcony. a firefighter was taken to the hospital for minor burns to his legs. there is no word on what sparked the fire. a suspect in custody after a double stabbing that left a man fighting for his life. it happened at 1:15 a.m. in logan. police say a fight broke out between several men. one man was stabbed in the chest. he was rushed to einstein where

he remains in critical condition. another plan was stabbed in the face. he was treated and released. police say the suspect is in custody and facing charges. a vigil was held for a little boy who was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver this weekend in west kensington. they prayed for justice for david. his mother who was injured in the monday incident is out of the hospital and attended that vigil last night at lehigh and master to mourn. investigators think they know who was responsible for the deadly crash. they recovered the vehicle yesterday, but they say the owner was not behind the wheel. a relative of his girlfriend apparently borrowed the car and took off after the crash. >> our prayers are being answered in some ways. justice so far is being served. at the end of the day we'll get our justice for the baby. police have not publicly identified who they are looking

for. cell phone video captured a fight that broke out in the middle of a center city clothing store. it happened on the 1700 block of walnut street. police got multiple calls about the fight officers got there but weren't able to catch up with anyone involved in the brawl. nobody was hurt. police in lexington have made an arrest in the death of a student. jonathan kruger was shot walking home from a party. police think it was are a random robbery gone wrong. a natural gas pipeline exploded in fresno, california. take a look at the driver's view of the flames shooting into the

6 # down the shore, 65 in wilmington, 63 in trenton. not a lot of wind and comfortable conditioners. as we roll through the day we'll climb. 3:30 we'll hit our high of 79 degrees. i could see urban centers like center city touching 80. that's well above the average high of 65. and definitely on the warm side. we have an issue with fire concerns. until 8:00 a.m. would he have a red-flag warning combination of low humidity and light breeze that will be kicking up later on and the dry fuels in northern suburbs in northern bucks and the lehigh valley. don't flick cigarettes out the windows or take the vehicles off road into the tall grass. you want to limit your road driving or off road driving and report any fires you do see because the sooner we can get people out there to put them out

63 in trenton. in the upper 50s in allentown. all these numbers on their way up big time. winds not a factor, we're seeing them climb in a couple double digits in a couple of spots. any clouds dover overnight receded to the south. it's working into western pennsylvania. overall, today, lots of sunshine, up in the lehigh valley warm, 79 degrees is your high in places like bethlehem and allentown and easton. down the shore cooler, but seasonable, with a high around 65. in atlantic city mostly sunny and much cooler than inland, but still not bad. in philadelphia, we'll go for a high of 79 which is well above the average high of 65. some urban centers like center city might hit 80.
