school sponsored cookout for fraternities. kennethannie mccormick has the latest. >> reporter: according to university officials last evening three people were shot, they have non-life threatening injuries, but then shots rang out again and nobody was injured. in both cases no arrests have been made. this was the scene at delaware state university last night at their main campus in dover. the first shooting took place at 8:00 p.m. during a dsu sanctioned cookout event. according to the school three people were injured by gunfire and transported to kent general hospital. students took to social media posting video clips. an alert went out telling them to stay in their dorms. i don't know-students were directed off campus. according to school officials another shooting was reported after 1:00 a.m.

in that case, no one was injured. university officials cannot say at this time for sure if both incidents are related. one student caught up in the moment after the first shooting described the scene. >> people were running and fearing, people got trampled and i heard gunshots. i saw the area where it was taped off where someone was injured. i was taken back. >> reporter: back here live, things are back to normal on campus. university released a suspect description in the second shooting. they are looking for a blackman short dreadlocks, 5'11", they believe he is driving a dark-colored four door vehicle. at this time police not dover

a few degrees above average but after midnight there will be rain arriving and tomorrow morning it will get heavy for the morning commute. here's what it looks like on future tracker 6 while you're sleeping at 2:30 up until 4:30 when i'm on the air in the morning. you can see how the rain does start to build in. look at this heavy mass of precipitation coming in during the morning rush hour. 8:00 a.m., it's pushing into the western suburbs and continuing into the region up until noon. the morning rush looks rough with a fair amount of rain. the total rainfall is anywhere from an inch to an inch and a half or more. i would use caution and leave earlier for the morning commute with the pockets of heavy rain and ponding on the roads a possibility. in the afternoon it's a spotty showery precipitation. every now and then in the late

control on the sharp curve. the car landed on its roof. two people were thrown from the car. one is in critical condition. the other two serious. there is no word what caused the driver to lose control. a luxury car was crushed after the driver lost control and hit a tree in south philadelphia overnight. this is what's left of a mercedes f-550 after the crash on christopher columbus boulevard. the driver lost control and ran off the road and hit a tree. the driver was taken to jefferson hospital for non-life threatening injuries. police are searching for a gunman after a man was shot and killed overnight. it happened in north philadelphia at 1:00 a.m. the 23-year-old victim was shot numerous times in the head, neck and arm. he was rushed to penn presbyterian medical center where he died a short time

later. there is no suspect or motive in the shooting. four families are out of their homes in burlington county. officials think barbecuing is the blame. the flames broke out on church street in mount holly. fire officials think it began on the back porch and it spread to the back wall and up to the second floor. everybody was able to get out safely. >> a 3-year-old girl remains in the hospital after a vicious to dog attack in west philadelphia. police say the little girl was at the grandmother's house when the 82-year-old left the dog out of the laundry room. that's when the dog attacked. >> we're making the assertion that the dog got jealous and the dog attacked the child mauling it about the head area. >> the girl was rushed to the children's hospital in
