some of the spray shooting all over the place it's slowing you down. 52 degrees a breeze coming in off the ocean for the second straight morning. cooled us down yesterday, 56 in millville. 48 in allentown and 52 along the boardwalks. these winds will shift out of the south and warm us up later on. 56 by 6:00 p.m. 60 by 8:00 a.m. welcome back to school kids we're looking at a warmup this afternoon and we'll dry out a bit. rain right now 52, 60 degrees by 8:00. still on the rainy side. noon, 68 a scattered sprinkle or scattered shower. we'll see sunshine returning temperature of 74 and the high will be 76 degrees late in the day around 4:30 or 5:00. once we get past 5 or 6:00 p.m. we'll be on the look out for the potential of strong gusty storms

that's goes later into the evening as well. some of these could produce damaging wind gusts i'll have that coming up in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. matt what is going on behind you. >> reporter: not welcoming the storms or the rain making a mess of the morning commute. this is a crash along the boulevard extension right on the southbound twin bridge approaching the schuylkill expressway a lot of emergency crews a ladder truck a ambulance, several tow trucks, police officers all on the scene and the two right lanes are still blocked on the southbound side of the 1 past ridge avenue that's the off ramp for ridge avenue into east falls. the left lane getting by, we're seeing delays, you may be better off coming down hunting park avenue or southbound lincoln drive. on the northbound side of the boulevard there's a crash approaching the outer drive a vehicle ran into a light pole there. if you want to use i-95 it's looking good as is the

storms later today and this evening. there's rain everywhere across the region and i like to give you that bird's eye two dimensional view, you can see how the rain in pockets is relatively heavy with not only yellows, but organs showing up in wilmington and -- oranges showing up in wilmington and parts of chester county. it's pushing up from the south and at the same time sliding slowly toward the east. chester, county, a little bit of that in delaware county and philadelphia in and out of it it's heavy enough to create problems on roads with ponding and puddling. farther to the south we have more of this coming up through parts of cumberland county, new jersey, around smyrna, delaware and dover. all this is pushing toward the north, so it is in our future. as we go out wide, allentown with the moderate rain, but some of the steadier stuff will be up in your direction, as well. in gettysburg it's moving toward

the east of the most of the morning commute will be bothered by the rain. as we look outside, we have cloudy skies, of course, the camera is bouncing down shore because it's wet and breezy. the winds out of the east in the city at 22 miles per hour. getting blown around a little bit there. the latest run on future tracker 6 shows you that the rain heavy at times will be popping through the region between now and toward the tail end of the rush hour by 9:00 a.m. its possible that it's getting past philadelphia and the rest of the afternoon looks to be a lot drier in fact we might return sunshine to the picture for a while with just a couple of sprinkles. this is the 3:00 p.m. view. we get into the evening hours we look out for a cold front arriving, ahead of that, a thunderstorm. some of these storms could produce strong, gusty winds as they roll through. i would allow for them after 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. by 11:00 p.m. we're seeing the action die down.

suspect late last night. agents took the jumper into custody. the package turned out to be harmless. officials said they may now top the white house fence with spikes to discourage these types of incidents. the baltimore police department is investigating the death of a man who was injured during an arrest. he suffered broken vertebrae on april 12. protests broke out when activists learned hissed death. they will look into any criminal conduct by gray and whether any argue officers should face criminal charges. the fbi will update it's results of an homegrown terror investigation. several young people were arrested in minneapolis and san diego yesterday and suspected isis sympathizers.
