tracking for about the past hour moving north and see how it's really losing its intensity, only one lightning strike though this particular cell is really dying out but there are more that will be moving in during the evening. so there's a big difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning. a tornado watch which we are under until 10 o'clock, means that conditions are favorable for severe weather swift cells that have the potential to spawn an isolated tornado. a tornado warning means that conditions are occurring or they're imminent, that we are getting severe weather and if you have a tornado warning i would cut into programming and that's when you have to seek shelter in a basement or an interior room. fortunately no warnings have been issued yet. so, this is what to expect this evening. some downpours the scattered thunderstorms, wind gusts large hail, perhaps isolated tornadoes. most of the activity before 8 o'clock will be west of the i-95 corridor.
