shot on patrol. he was on duty and investigating a man for possible narcotics violation. >> they go to approach the man the male backs up and they lose him. >> reporter: the officer caught up with him as 5 #st and master street. >> they have a brief discussion and daniel kostic is on his bike, the male turns and says i don't want to have to do this, he i quote and shoots the officer in the arm. >> reporter: daniel kostic returns fire a weapon was recovered at the scene. daniel kostic was taken to penn presbyterian and is recovering with family by his side. >> good spirits we're thankful for that, it underscores how dangerous the job can be. >> we're told that police are questioning a person of interest in this case, as for the

condition of the suspect that has not been released by police. live in university city, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> reporter: thanks so much, katherine. developing a man was shot and killed delivering chinese food in a philadelphia neighborhood overnight. the man was making a delivery in the 500 block of hill creek road in the crescentville section last night. 1 shots were fireside, the delivery man was hit in the shoulder and then the 49-year-old drove away and crashed into a nearby fence and pole adams avenue and bingham street. the delivery man was pronounced a short time later. >> we're not sure if he if he was the victim of a robbery. but investigation reveals he was a delivery person for a chinese restaurant. an autopsy is going to happen today on a fetus a

surveillance video shows the moments leading up to a crash between a light link rail train in a car in seattle. oh, you see it there, as the car turns left directly in front of the train. the impact moved the car and knocked over a light pole. the 50-year-old driver was trapped inside the car for is 15 minutes. nobody on the train was injured. the phillies begin a home series with the braves tonight. the smallest crowd to ever attend a game at citizens bank park watched the phillies lose another one last night. official attendance 17,097. poor hitting and sloppy defense led to the loss to the marlins.
