12:24 pm
a lot of sunshine down the shore and overall we look at sun mixing with occasional clouds and we have cloud cover earlier this morning, the problem is it's windy and i'm surprised this camera is not rocking around more and it's getting blustery out there. we still haven't broken out into the 50s yet winds from the north northern west with higher gusts and that makes it feel chilly, 47 degrees in allentown 48 in reading and 4 in wilmington and up closer to 50 down the shore pretty even numbers around the region and that windchill is making it feel like it's in the upper 30s in spots and obviously on the cool side out there satellite 6 along with action radar showing the clouds we referenced but they are kicking out and a chance that we get more of this spilling through as the day goes on, if you look way up to the northeast, that is the center of that low pressure center that
12:25 pm
came through and gave us the strong wind gusts yesterday, and now it's pulling away and we have wrap around winds behind it and an area of high pressure to the west and the typical wind tunnel to the west and the winds are rolling close wise to the high and counter clockwise low and it's rather blustery winds running 15 to 25 miles per hour and the gusts at times could go up to 30 and higher than that. allentown partly sunny and a chilly wind blowing and 52 is the high in the lehigh valley down the shore cooler in spots and 49 degrees in the northern and south jersey coast and the farther south you go the better chance of getting into the low 50s and windy and cool under the partly to mostly sunny skies 55 in philadelphia and a mix of sun and clouds possible. windy and chilly though that is
12:26 pm
the main issue with the wins gusting 35 miles per hour this afternoon. then overnight, look out, 35 for an overnight high and some area going to the freezing mark and clear enough and winds at first will be blustery but i think they will sag overnight and allow the temperatures to go down, if you are headed to the phillies game, as i am actually it's on the chilly side and 52 for the first pitch and as low as 46 and mid up toer 40s and you want to bundle up because it's breezy and another issue with the freeze watch in basically the suburbs outside of lower 95 corridor where temperatures in spots could go to the freezing mark and we want you to take care of the sensitive plants and bring the potted plants indoors. it's going to be cold in the morning if you are headed out the door early temperatures in
12:27 pm
the 30s but up to the 60s and less wind in the afternoon and improves during the day not particularly sunny and a high of 63 degrees and then a spotdy shower around and dry tuesday and wednesday and getting better on wednesday and thursday 66 with a shower. david thank you. there is much more ahead on "action news" at 12:30 the search for suspects continues after a food delivery driver is shot and killed in the city's crescentville section and we are live with the latest and they say they have caught the brazen bandits behind some break-ins.
